nonperson 20-01-2018 03:11 PM

I did catch it, with like 1 minute to spare. I'm not super into it... but my friend is, like... seriously obsessed. o.o

Haha, 48! You'll use them up, don't worry. Did you get a bulk buy discount at least?!

Aubergine 20-01-2018 03:25 PM

Glad you caught it! Will you get to grow it? Do you ever go to those things where lots of pokemon people turn up at a certain place? I can't remember what they're called, but a friend goes to them...

Yeah, we'll use them. It's just where to put them! I'm sure they'll figure it out on Monday when they actually have some staff in. For now, they are shoved in a corner...

nonperson 20-01-2018 03:31 PM

I'll maybe evolve it. In general I don't often go to places where lots of other people are! Do you mean Raids? I've been to a few with other people mostly because I couldn't say no... I'm more of a solo player. =P

nonperson 20-01-2018 03:42 PM

Grr, technology is failing me now...

Stupid phone won't connect or charge from my laptop or car any more. But it will from the wall...

Aubergine 20-01-2018 03:48 PM

Yes, I think I do mean raids! Hehe, me neither. I like small amounts of people. Like 3 at most. :P Solo playing sounds good.

Weird about your phone. Is it the same cable?

nonperson 20-01-2018 03:50 PM

Yup, tried different cables... I think it's just dying on me. The battery life is awful now too... Stupid Apple.

Aubergine 20-01-2018 03:56 PM

Oh no. It's an iPhone! I think the UI is good, but I don't like how apple loves other apple things so much! And so expensive!

nonperson 20-01-2018 03:58 PM

Yeah, I like it... but there always seems so much controversy with an iPhone, like the battery life thing that was in the news at Christmas.

Aubergine 20-01-2018 04:02 PM

Where the phone slows down? I get why Apple. Do it, but they weren't very transparent about it, which is where I think most people took issue.

nonperson 20-01-2018 04:02 PM

Yep, where they intentionally slow down older phones to preserve battery life.

Too many options as well.... I need a new SIM only contract anyway, but I didn't think I needed a new phone. But maybe I do... Options are to upgrade, get a new contract or buy outright? OR... do I just get the same phone again? Cheaper and I have the right cases already... OR... do I just get the battery replaced?

Argh!!

Aubergine 20-01-2018 04:10 PM

Oh you do have too many options! Hmm. I went sim only and it's so much cheaper! Went from £35/month to £13/month. Still plenty enough of everything because I get a data boost because I also have internet with EE.

nonperson 20-01-2018 04:16 PM

Yeah that's what I'm looking at doing. SIM only and maybe buy new phone outright. Treat myself. =)

Aubergine 20-01-2018 04:22 PM

I would! You deserve it!

nonperson 20-01-2018 04:28 PM

Ha, thanks ^.^

Also I've discovered that iPhone 6s and 7 are the same size so I could technically "upgrade" but keep the same cases and bike mount >.>

So tempting!

Aubergine 20-01-2018 04:36 PM

Oh awesome. That could be a good option!

Mother just phoned me for medical advice. Working in a hospital does not mean that I can cure all ills!

nonperson 20-01-2018 04:43 PM

But you might be able to. Worth asking. =)

She probably just wanted to check up on you as well.

Aubergine 20-01-2018 04:51 PM

Probably. She's great. My Nan has a chest infection that steroids and antibiotics haven't cleared. I told her to go to nans and phone 111 with her. She was probably just looking for reassurance, I guess. I just get a bit worried about saying the wrong thing.

nonperson 20-01-2018 04:59 PM

Well you aren't a doctor so your advice is just that, advice. But yes, it was probably reassurance. Talking these things through with someone sensible sometimes help focus your thoughts! Phoning 111 is probably best.

not_so_insig 20-01-2018 05:06 PM

Afternoon all. I am still sore after the dentist. I have snow!

Aubergine 20-01-2018 05:15 PM

Thanks Person. Your turn to give the reassurance! :)

Hey Dawn. Got much snow?

not_so_insig 20-01-2018 05:22 PM

There's a fair amount but the roads are clear which is good.

one_step_closer 20-01-2018 05:39 PM

Nonperson, hope you can decide what to do. I hate making decisions like that!

Aubergine, hope your Nan's ok. But really you should have ALL the answers! :tongue2:

Dawn, hope your pain passes soon. Are you at the stage where you can't eat or drink? There's lots of snow here too. Glad you managed to make it to your appointment.

I did the hoovering I was going to do then ended up opening boxes and folders of old things in my bedroom (mostly paper stuff). Looked through my high school yearbook and it made me want to contact my then guidance teacher because he was so helpful and he did say he'd love to hear from me but I think he changed his mind because I emailed the school maybe three years ago and they said they would pass on a message to him because it was the summer holidays at that point but he never got back to me.

not_so_insig 20-01-2018 05:45 PM

No I can eat and drink fine. It's just painful and my gum is tender. I am taking painkillers though.

one_step_closer 20-01-2018 05:46 PM

How long ago were you at the dentist? Hope the painkillers are helping.

not_so_insig 20-01-2018 05:49 PM

Thursday afternoon. The dentist had a lot of trouble with my teeth so it's not unexpected that I would be in pain. I am in less pain than on Thursday though.

Aubergine 20-01-2018 05:53 PM

Hey again Lindsay. :) Well done on the hoovering. I think you should contact your guidance counsellor. I'm sure they'd love to hear from you. It might be that he didn't get your message or that he meant to get back to you but your email got lost. A whole load of reasons! No harm in sending him another message. :)

Heheh Linds! I have SOME of the answers, but definitely not ALL of them. :P :)

one_step_closer 20-01-2018 06:04 PM

Dawn, that's rubbish that you're still in pain. *sends pain free wishes*

Aubergine, I think you appear like a person who knows all the answers though!

I'm a bit wary about sending another message because it first goes to the office or the librarian and I don't really want them reading it, not that I'd say anything really personal in it. I know the librarian is still the one that was there when I was at school and she remembers me.

Cacoethes 20-01-2018 06:07 PM

Hey guys
It was half raining and half snowing earlier!
Now it is just freezing!!
Hope the bus has heating!

Aubergine 20-01-2018 06:13 PM

Hehe! Thanks! Could you please tell our patients that?! Could you write snail mail to him? They shouldn't be able to open that...

Beckie! How was your time with the family? The weather sounds awful. I hope you are wearing a coat!

You could always just contact them asking if he has an email address that they could give you? Then they won't have to read the message and you can send it direct.

I just had a random burst of energy and cleaned my fridge!!

Sketchy 20-01-2018 06:50 PM

Hey everybody!

one_step_closer 20-01-2018 06:56 PM

Will it take you long to get home Beckie?

Nonperson, random bursts of energy can be great for getting things done!

Hi Lorraine, how are you?

I'll maybe try and write an email anyway, don't think they would just give me his contact details so I might need to explain that he asked me to keep in touch but I didn't manage to and I'm not sure if my message was passed on to him before.

Sketchy 20-01-2018 06:57 PM

I’m ok. How are you? How is everyone?

It’s another cold night. I have my heating and fire on. Dreading my next gas bill.

one_step_closer 20-01-2018 06:59 PM

I'm ok too. What have you been up to today? I pay my electricity and gas using pay as you go and I have smart meters and have really noticed a hike in my usage!

one_step_closer 20-01-2018 06:59 PM

Have you applied for warm home discount Lorraine?

Sketchy 20-01-2018 07:01 PM

I haven’t Lindsay. Maybe that’s something I should look into.

one_step_closer 20-01-2018 07:03 PM

I think they give you about £140 credit if you qualify. Maybe it's different for different people though. I applied and was allowed it but at that point the energy company seemed to think I was paying a bill rather than on pay as you go and I haven't been credited it yet.

Sketchy 20-01-2018 07:09 PM

It’s worth a try. I hope you get your money soon.

It’s too cold to go without heating. I also have a cosy onesie on. Nice and toasty.

chinahorse 20-01-2018 07:32 PM

It's freezing outside I agree! I'm hoping that I'll use little enough in the summer so my monthly bill payments add up to enough over the year.

Cacoethes 20-01-2018 08:09 PM

Definitely go for warm home discount!
I got it. £140 credit.

ITS SO COLD!!!!
Home now though.
Changing into dry socks is one of the best feelings ever

Sketchy 20-01-2018 08:14 PM

Yay casualty is on tonight!

Cacoethes 20-01-2018 08:20 PM

Yay casualty!!!

Aubergine 20-01-2018 10:26 PM

I got warm home discount too. Super easy to apply for online and because I've got a smart PAYG meter, it was credited straight to it within about six weeks. I couldn't afford to use my heating last year, but this year I've been able to put it on a bit. Not loads, but enough to be able to invite visitors without them leaving their bobble hats and coats on! (Except my Mum, who is always cold and lives in a furnace.)

nonperson 20-01-2018 10:31 PM

So

Much

Pizza.

:nono:

Cacoethes 20-01-2018 10:33 PM

My warm home thing was put on my electric key rather than gas card and my heating uses gas.
But I do use more electric than gas and also I can put more on my gas card now I don't have to top up my electric for quite a while!!

I went to my mum's today and she has no heating yet but the house is still really warm for some reason!!

No such thing as too much pizza nonperson!!

Aubergine 20-01-2018 10:37 PM

Ooo pizza! What kind?

I only have electric in my flat. It's SO expensive. One day, when I'm rich, I'll have gas heating and have it on ALL THE TIME.

nonperson 20-01-2018 10:41 PM

Dominos. =)

I'm really stingy with my heating... House was at 12.5 degrees for most of the day today.

Cacoethes 20-01-2018 10:44 PM

Electric is much more expensive!

Ooo dominoes is the best!! Jealous!

I dont put the heating on until I'm back from my daily asda trip

nonperson 20-01-2018 10:46 PM

I have leftovers for tomorrow too.

nonperson 20-01-2018 10:46 PM

Lots of leftovers...
