Morning
Yeah, i got distracted by clearing drawers out so forgot to come on XD

not_so_insig 16-04-2025 01:29 PM

Afternoon all. Glad you're ok Beckie and just were busy.

one_step_closer 16-04-2025 01:42 PM

Hi everyone. How are your days going?

not_so_insig 16-04-2025 01:52 PM

I am having a relaxing day today. Apart from washing my hair and putting the recycling boxes outside i haven't got much to do today. Am waiting for an ebay parcel which I hopped would arrive today but didn't. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow with the postman as there's no post on Friday or on Monday.

not_so_insig 16-04-2025 01:58 PM

Also psa: don't forget peeps that this weekend is Easter so if you rely on public transport Friday and Monday's timetable may be different if you have to be somewhere. As well as Sunday. Big shops are shut on Sunday including supermarkets in England and Wales in case people have to get provisions in.

Cacoethes 16-04-2025 03:48 PM

Hi everyone
Thanks dawn!

How is everyone?

L has gone out for an appointment so I'm here with S.

not_so_insig 16-04-2025 03:56 PM

I am a bit bored. Done some laundry, hoovered the communal area outside my flat and taken the recycling boxes outside. It's windy af here so fingers crossed my blue bag won't get blown away!

Cacoethes 16-04-2025 04:24 PM

Really windy here too

one_step_closer 16-04-2025 05:45 PM

It's wet and windy here. It's annoying because all of my jackets have hoods that won't stay up in the wind.

I hope S is calm enough today, Beckie.

Cacoethes 16-04-2025 05:47 PM

He was ok after the initial upset. L was only out for about an hour!

Its not wet here at least!

one_step_closer 16-04-2025 05:54 PM

I can't stop thinking about the cake you made him, it looked amazing!

Ahimsa 16-04-2025 06:01 PM

Hope everyones had a good Wednesday?

Cacoethes 16-04-2025 06:07 PM

It was very good, if I do say so myself! XD

Hey beth!
Its been ok thanks.
How about you?

Ahimsa 16-04-2025 06:11 PM

That is good news! Why so good?

Mine has been okay thank you, dropped my car off at the garage after work - I'm not looking forward to walking to work in the morning though :( Luckily I'm only working a half day and I'm then going to get the car back after lunch and I'm going to Manchester for a gig!

Second ever motorway drive, eek!

Hot bath and an early night tonight is the plan :)

not_so_insig 17-04-2025 06:37 AM

Morning all.

Cacoethes 17-04-2025 08:24 AM

Morning!
How are you?

not_so_insig 17-04-2025 08:27 AM

Bored because I was awake early. Can't do much as it's still early and I don't want to disturb the neighbours.

Cacoethes 17-04-2025 08:57 AM

I know the feeling.

not_so_insig 17-04-2025 08:58 AM

How are you Beckie?

Cacoethes 17-04-2025 09:26 AM

I'm ok thanks. Got work today. Ugh!

Do you have any plans?

not_so_insig 17-04-2025 09:32 AM

Other than cleaning my flat today I have no plans for today. My mum is coming later though.

Cacoethes 17-04-2025 09:43 AM

Sounds like an ok day!

one_step_closer 17-04-2025 02:35 PM

Afternoon everyone.

I hope you get your cleaning done and have a nice time with your Mum, Dawn.

Hope work goes well, Beckie.

not_so_insig 17-04-2025 02:46 PM

Thanks. My mum has been and gone.

Cacoethes 17-04-2025 04:35 PM

Thanks lindsay!
Work is ok so far
We got descended upon by a literal swarm of children earlier, which was overwhelming because they were all paying in cash and we had no 1p coins :eyeroll:
Just on break now, waiting for cc to call.

How are you?

one_step_closer 17-04-2025 06:09 PM

Did you do anything with your Mum, Dawn?

Children and cash usually equals slow! Did you manage to talk to your CC?

I'm a mixed mess.

tamobhuuta 17-04-2025 07:26 PM

Evening all. I hope you're all well.

MountainView 18-04-2025 12:33 AM

Hi all, I hope you're all doing well. Best wishes from an old timer.

Ahimsa 18-04-2025 12:57 AM

Hey MountainView, how are you?

Beckie how you do motorways every day I do not know! I did my second ever motorway drive (in 12 years of driving) today, the first time which was a few years ago, was awful, this time was even worse. I'm in actual physical pain in my back, legs, shoulders and hands from being SO tense the whole time, and I had to come off 4 times to cry.

The "1 hour 20 mins" journey took me 3 hours there and 2 and a half to come back, it was so overwhelming. And it wasn't even worth it because I spent the whole time there, freaking out about coming back.

Trains weren't an option, my last bus back from the train station, if it turns up, is 10pm. More reliable one at 9pm, which would mean leaving the event by 7:20 at the very latest - it started at 6:30!

Cacoethes 18-04-2025 11:20 AM

That sounds super stressful beth
But well done for doing it! Even if it took longer, you still did it!
I was so nervous the first time, but I guess i just desensitised myself. It's easy once you get the hang of it, which only happened quickly for me because I'm so used to it and do it so often.
What roads are your favourite to drive on?
I struggle with city centres but am getting better!

Morning everyone

tamobhuuta 18-04-2025 12:52 PM

Hey everyone. Driving sounds so stressful.

one_step_closer 18-04-2025 02:40 PM

Sorry you had a stressful drive, Beth. In some ways I think motorways are ok to drive on but then you always have to make sure you're in the right lane which I'm not good at understanding. I hope you enjoy the gig.

What are you doing today, Beckie?

Hi, Tamo. Will you be doing anything special over Easter?

Cacoethes 18-04-2025 03:49 PM

I'm at work today.
It has not been a good day so far

How are you both?

Morning everyone

I don't really have a favourite type of road - I drive 2 miles to work down a single road, 5 miles to the supermarket the opposite direction on the same road. Occasionally to the city centre 6 miles away but if I can't park at a specific car park (that means not going round the centre of town), I come home, or to York (25 miles) which is straight down the A64 (2 lanes) but I wouldn't say I enjoy it. Other than last night and my first motorway drive years ago, that 25 mile journey is the furthest I've ever driven.

tamobhuuta 18-04-2025 05:09 PM

I'm doing all the prayers I would do at home and on Sunday I will eat chocolate eggs. Also I'm hoping L will visit.

one_step_closer 18-04-2025 05:41 PM

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that Beckie. When do you finish?

That sounds good, Tamo. I hope L is able to visit.

I was out again today with my friend to look in The Works for their new fidgets.

Cacoethes 18-04-2025 10:25 PM

That's fair enough beth. Do you not enjoy driving?

Thanks lindsay
I finished at 9pm so I'm home now.
The day got better, thankfully. And my boss came in before we closed and had got us all Easter eggs! He knew i wasn't working this weekend, so that's why he came in to deliver them tonight. That cheered me up loads. And also me and J had a long chat. And she gave me a hug and bought me some chocolate.

Did you find any lindsay?

Cacoethes 19-04-2025 08:58 AM

Morning everyone!

Ahimsa 19-04-2025 11:04 AM

Morning Beckie, how're you? How is your Saturday going?

I've just got back from yoga

Cacoethes 19-04-2025 11:30 AM

Morning beth!
How are you? Did you have a good yoga session?

I'm ok thanks!
Cleaned the piggos out this morning, showered and cleaned the kitchen. We're heading to Leicester soon to watch the women's rugby. England v Scotland. I'm very excited!

Ahimsa 19-04-2025 11:32 AM

it was a very needed yoga session! I can't go next week though as I'm working all weekend, boo!

Enjoy the rugby!

Cacoethes 19-04-2025 11:51 AM

Glad you enjoyed it!
Ugh! Hate it when work gets in the way of things we enjoy! I haven't been able to go to glow beatz for ages because I've been working basically every Tuesday!

Thank you!

one_step_closer 19-04-2025 02:03 PM

Hi everyone.

Oh no, England vs Scotland. I'm not getting involved!

I hope you enjoy the rugby, Beckie.

I'm glad you were able to go to yoga today, Beth, and I hope you can go back soon.

I just got an Easter egg delivery that my brother sent and I laughed because very, very weirdly we both got each other the same kind of egg. It's not like it's a common one or a properly special one. It's a Ferrero Rocher one.

Ahimsa 19-04-2025 02:05 PM

Ooh fancy!! Enjoy OSC! :)

one_step_closer 19-04-2025 02:13 PM

Thanks, Beth. I hope you'll be having a treat too if you'd like one.

Cacoethes 19-04-2025 02:18 PM

Lol lindsay!!!

Thank you.
We have arrived safely. It was a pretty decent journey apart from some sketchy roundabouts with like 4 lanes XD
But mostly just down the M1.

That egg sounds lovely!

Ahimsa 19-04-2025 02:25 PM

Glad you've arrived safely Beckie!

I don't have any Easter eggs, I may pop out later to get some chocolate or something?

one_step_closer 19-04-2025 02:56 PM

Well done with the drive, Beckie.

You should definitely get yourself some kind of treat, Beth.

Cacoethes 19-04-2025 02:56 PM

Thanks guys!

Another vote to get yourself a treat beth!
