Cacoethes 20-08-2023 11:40 AM

I do certainly understand that one jen! XD

Well done for being productive lindsay!

We're going to see strays.

No one wants that lindsay!

long road 20-08-2023 11:46 AM

Well done for your productivity Lindsay! Ladles are cool what will you use your wooden ladle for?

She's been on my case about being sensible already XD

I am so not up to speed with what's on in the cinema at the moment. I haven't even heard of Strays. What genre of film is it?

Cacoethes 20-08-2023 11:56 AM

It's a comedy. Just a silly one i think, lots of swearing!

not_so_insig 20-08-2023 12:36 PM

Hello all. I am not having a good day mh wise so might not be up for much talking today.

Zurg 20-08-2023 12:50 PM

Look after yourself, Dawn <3
A chill day might be needed!!! Xx

I had to look up what a 'ladle' is, Lindsay :) Are you planning on making soup??? Or even better; witches brew??? :D

Hope you'll have a better day today, Jen. And that your lungs, unhelpful Bettys, Will behave!!! (Yes, i named them!!!)

Beckie, thou shallt relax today, sayeth thy goddess!!!!

tamobhuuta 20-08-2023 02:03 PM

Hi everyone. I hope your days are going well.

I'm with Mum, R and L. They're looking at houses in Islington because I said it was scuzzy.

one_step_closer 20-08-2023 02:31 PM

Take care, Dawn.

I'm just getting a wooden ladle because all my other kitchen tool things are wooden but my ladle is plastic. I may make witches brew now that you have mentioned it, Kat!

What does scuzzy mean, Tamo?

long road 20-08-2023 02:43 PM

My lungs are currently still behaving!

And I managed a shower just before lunch and it was glorious! Finally got the last of the sticky was from ECG stickers to come off!

How are you Zurg?

tamobhuuta 20-08-2023 03:21 PM

Scuzzy=manky. To be fair it wasn't that bad but I'd heard Islington was posh.

long road 20-08-2023 05:32 PM

I managed to nap! Only for 40 minutes or so but good to get some rest in. A bit short of breath now though which is I think what woke me up.

How is everyone else doing this afternoon/evening? (I remain unsure if evening starts after 5pm or after 6 pm)

one_step_closer 20-08-2023 06:03 PM

Well done for what you've managed, Jen. ECG sticker stickiness is very sticky!

I am so tired and have a headache but I'm like that through a lot of the day now. Still waiting on my ladle.

tamobhuuta 20-08-2023 06:15 PM

Hugs for all who are ok with that.

long road 20-08-2023 06:38 PM

I really like don't like stickyness so very happy it is gone!

Do you think you might be dehydrated Lindsay? Might be you are low on water and/ or salt that is causing headaches.

I just ordered a fried chicken burger with fries and Mac and cheese for dinner. Annoyingly I had to sign up for Uber eats because my favourite chicken place is no longer on deliveroo.

Cacoethes 20-08-2023 08:39 PM

Hey everyone!

Sorry not catching up. Been an odd day!

long road 20-08-2023 08:42 PM

Odd days are tricky

Hope you are feeling a bit better now.

I have just updated my click and collect shopping order for tomorrow.

Cacoethes 20-08-2023 08:52 PM

I am thanks :)

Getting anything nice?

I recognise your username as well but not sure if we crossed paths much either! Good to see you again though. It's nice, but not surprising in some ways given how much I posted back then, when people recognise me when I reappear!

Yeah I've decided to return to studying to hopefully get the degree I didn't manage all those years ago. It's a lot alongside working full time!

Thanks Beckie! I managed to finish the chapter I needed to and add the relevant bits into my plan!

Cacoethes 20-08-2023 09:08 PM

Well done! :-D

Cacoethes 21-08-2023 04:49 AM

Morning everyone!
This is early even for me!

long road 21-08-2023 05:11 AM

Morning
It is early for you! Pretty early for me too.
My asthma woke me up multiple times on the night. Got probably 4 and a half hours tops.

Might try and nap a little

Cacoethes 21-08-2023 05:35 AM

Hey jen!
That must be annoying!

Nap sounds good

long road 21-08-2023 05:47 AM

Nap has yet to be achieved going to try now and see if I can get 30 minutes or so.

Has been rather annoying. My lungs are trolls

Cacoethes 21-08-2023 06:04 AM

I hope you manage it!

They are!

long road 21-08-2023 06:40 AM

Managed another half a hour. Think this is me awake for the day now.

Ho ware you feeling today?

Cacoethes 21-08-2023 06:42 AM

Hopefully you can get in a nap later!

Totally fine today thanks!
I think! Lol

long road 21-08-2023 07:18 AM

We shall see. I hope so too!

That is good. Are you still going to call GP though? (I think you should)

I am just eating breakfast and doing meds. Had my last two pieces of fruit toast and didn't burn them! Then at 8:30 have to ring my GP surgery.

Have you got any exciting plans today? Or just work?

Cacoethes 21-08-2023 07:33 AM

Nah. I feel fine. An ecg wouldn't show anything unless something is actually happening. And as its calmed down, there's really not any point.
I can't call up and just be like 'well this thing happened yesterday morning but I'm fine now'

Have you ordered more fruit toast in your click and collect?

I'm not actually at work today.
For some reason, my only shift this week is Friday night. Which is ridiculous. I'm also doing Sunday 12-4, which manager I hate asked me to do for some reason.
So the 2 most stressful shifts of the week XD
It's a new person doing the rota, so he's ****ing up everyone's shifts atm.
So I've got a bra fitting at M&S this afternoon and my injection thing at 6pm
May be meeting up with E but don't know yet.

long road 21-08-2023 07:43 AM

Hmmm you could maybe get the tests medical monitoring team wanted earlier though? Not just ECG but bloods etc?

I didn't order more fruit toast this time. I was tempted but decided I still have a load of treats in the house so want to eat those up first. Have some Maryland cookies and most of my blackcurrant squash left from last week's shop. Plus a couple of cupcakes from the pack we were given as a get well soon gift. I did order more magnums though (mainly because we fed two of them to the Paramedics XD).

That is super irritating!!! Hopeful new person can be made to understand rota properly on time for next week and you can have your regular Monday and Friday afternoon shifts back! Eurgh to Sunday shifts I know they are your least favourite.

Always good to get measured so you can get the right bra, makes such a difference to daily comfort!! I got a Calvin Klein bralette a while back and it my new favourite bra, like a slightly more relaxed sports bra and very comfy.

Hope you can see E I know you always have fun together

long road 21-08-2023 08:34 AM

Am now on hold to GP surgery. I wonder how fast it will be this time? On Thursday I was done in 4 minutes which was super speedy! I only had to redial twice to get into the queue so hopefully not long.

Edit only took 7 minutes which is still good. I am getting good at calling just as the phone lines are meant to open and if I get the surgery is closed message , hanging up and redialing quickly. That and I have heard the please listen carefully message you get when you get through so often I know which number to press to get through to reception without having to listen to the whole message.in the past I have had to wait 20 minutes or more on hold.

Now to wait around for a call back on the next hour or two. What an exciting life I lead at the moment!

Cacoethes 21-08-2023 08:52 AM

I won't be able to. They know i need them, they have the letter, they agree i need them, but they still can't make appointments and nurses/drs appear out of nowhere. Plus I need a double appointment to have everything I need done.

Have you ever had blackcurrant squash with lemonade?
Well, I have the cordial with lemonade at work and it's so nice!

Yeah he'll get the hang of it. He's new as well so still learning everyone's availability.
I have told him what shifts i normally do.
Sunday shifts are EVERYONE'S least favourite! XD

Yeah definitely! I don't think a bralette would be appropriate for me unfortunately, they look comfy though!

We do!

Glad you managed to get through!

I have 3x5kg boxes of hay coming today, and the time window is when I'm going to be out at the retail park. Ffs.

long road 21-08-2023 09:01 AM

Fair enough I can see not wanting to run the gauntlet just to be told there are no appointments because they can't magic them up. At least you have monitoring appointment next week.

Ooh I haven't had it with lemonade sounds intriguing! I have had it with soda water which I like, although usually I go for lime and soda.

XD From your description I can understand why Sundays shifts are everyone's least favourite. They should pay a little uplift then they would be inundated with people wanting to work them! :P

That's fair, you have to go with what works for your body. I find them good especially when breathing is playing up as they feel less constricting. Plus as they have no metal you don't have to take them off for chest x-rays (can you tell I have had too many x-rays recently XD). I actually ordered 2 more on Saturday, they should arrive sometime this week.

I am the master of the GP phone system now XD, I have called 6 times in the last 2 weeks... And had 6 call backs and 5 in person appointments from those calls.

Sods law that! Is our courier good at leaving things in a safe place?

Cacoethes 21-08-2023 09:06 AM

Yeah exactly. Plus it's way too late now anyway.

Lime and soda is the most popular!
I prefer blackcurrant and soda.

They really should!

I can see why they'd be easier for your breathing!
Good point about taking them off for x rays!
Luckily i don't need that many x rays!
I don't feel comfortable without an underwire and moulded cups!

You clearly are!

Yes, but there isn't really a hidden safe place for 15kg of hay in boxes XD

long road 21-08-2023 09:20 AM

I have both lime cordial and blackcurrant squash in as well as soda water. I shall have to do a comparison! My favourite cordial and soda combo though is raspberry soda, it's a big thing in Austria every restaurant serves it,and many even make their own cordial, but rare here. One of the pubs we occassionally go to does it though and it so good!

I didn't use to feel comfortable without an underwire and then Covid came along and I wore a bra a lot less XD

I mean I also don't think many people would steal hay. Unless there is a rabbit gang in your neighborhood XD

Cacoethes 21-08-2023 09:41 AM

Ooh raspberry soda sounds good!

Ah yeah XD
I still wear a bra in the house during the day for some reason lol

Probably not!
I think my neighbour is in today anyway, so she'll keep an eye!
God help anyone that goes near it! XD

long road 21-08-2023 09:46 AM

It's amazing! Gutted I forgot to tell you about it when you were in Vienna. It's on menus as himbeer soda and it's amazing. To the point I have been considering seeing if my brother will bring me some himbeer syrup over when he visits UK around Christmas!

I wear one if I leave the house. But during lockdowns it often went on to go to daily exercise and then off again not long after getting home XD

Your neighbour is as good as a whole neighborhood watch! She seems to know everything that goes on near you.

Still waiting on the call. Have a bit of the zoomies (it's always worst a couple of hours after taking the steroids) and trying really hard not to over do it. Did some gentle physio stretches as my legs were stiff but otherwise sitting here with my feet up on the sofa.

Cacoethes 21-08-2023 09:52 AM

Yeah that is a shame!
If it's in a container over 100ml, he won't be able to bring it on a plane!

I always refer to her as a one woman neighbourhood watch!
She questioned my cpn when he parked in my spot XD

Yeah definitely don't overdo it!

I'm having a coffee. 2 of the shops i need to go into don't open until 10am, i could have done aldi first, but one of the shops is small, so can't be dragging my shopping in there!

long road 21-08-2023 09:58 AM

Ah but he usually gets the train so it might work!!

Lol at her questioning your CPN XD to be fair he sounds like a suspicious looking character :P

I am trying really hard to be sensible.

Ooh love a coffee. I am off coffee at the moment as been getting tachycardia with asthma and find the proper ground coffee I have can make it a little worse. So been having tea instead.

Still waiting but bet if I try and do something like watch a TV show they will call just as I get into it. So just internetting and listening to some music.

Accidentally Abstract 21-08-2023 10:02 AM

Morning all. Best of luck with your trip out shopping Beckie, and your appointment Jen. Hope they don't leave you waiting too long for a call!

long road 21-08-2023 10:30 AM

Morning Luce!

You got anything interesting on for today?

I am still waiting *twiddles thumbs* but things are always extra busy at GP surgeries on Mondays so I am not annoyed just impatient! I hate that feeling of waiting for a call at some indeterminate time before e1pk in the afternoon...

tamobhuuta 21-08-2023 10:57 AM

Morning guys. I'm just passing the time till my blood test. Good luck with your days.

Cacoethes 21-08-2023 10:59 AM

Oh yeah, would work on the train!

He is both suspicious and useless!

That is a sensible decision!

Thanks Luce! The trip was successful!
How's your day looking?

Yeah mondays are crazy!

Got rota for next week, randomly put down for holiday on Friday. Ffs

long road 21-08-2023 11:09 AM

Finally got a call back and it was from my GP not from nurse as he was working today. As I am doing a little bit better he didn't see the need to see me but obviously get back in touch with them or 999 as a appropriate. Got prescription for extra meds I need and just got to keep doing what I am doing and we will check back in at beginning of September. Not particularly satisfying but it is what it is.

Cacoethes 21-08-2023 11:13 AM

Beginning of September is only next week, so not too long to wait! Though hopefully things will be ok by then!

Accidentally Abstract 21-08-2023 11:35 AM

Glad you got your call Jen.
My day isn't looking great - was meant to be working but I umm.. got quite overwhelmed and messaged my manager a garbled mess and I'm now off sick and curled back up in bed.

Cacoethes 21-08-2023 11:49 AM

I'm glad you've taken a day off Luce. No point in pushing yourself to go if you aren't going to cope with it!

long road 21-08-2023 12:01 PM

I think he meant in 2 weeks Beckie, when whole week is September not on Friday 1st. But yes. Hopefully things keep improving it's just frustratingly slow progress. But at least I am doing the right things

Hopefully hospital appointment will come through sooner rather than later and can get a long term plan sorted. Fairly happy with short term plan though

Are you ok with virtual hugs Luce? If so I shall send some. Sucks when things get overwhelming.hope being in bed helps a bit. Is there a small nice thing you can do for yourself today?

Beckie is wise, not pushing it is for the best.

one_step_closer 21-08-2023 12:12 PM

Look after yourselves everyone <3

Cacoethes 21-08-2023 12:12 PM

Ohh ok! Makes sense.

Do you know how long the waiting list is?

I am not often wise XD

Thanks lindsay! How are you doing?

one_step_closer 21-08-2023 12:13 PM

You are a wise owl to other people but not often yourself, Beckie!

I'm ok although got less sleep but didn't know why until I realised the blanket I put over my blinds had fallen down and the light was keeping me awake.

Cacoethes 21-08-2023 12:15 PM

That's a pretty accurate assessment, yes XD

That's an annoying thing about summer!
