Casualty is very important!!
Ive got too much to do tomorrow really and don't want to get distracted with TV. Because i will literally use any excuse to not do my work! XD |
It's so easy to find excuses to put things off. Hope you're enjoying Casualty and you get some things done tomorrow.
|
It really is!
Thank you :) |
That was a good episode.
Wow it’s late. And I’m annoyingly wide awake. |
I'm sort of awake... I think I'd sleep if I actually went to bed though. Had a brief nap earlier though (during Casualty!).
|
You slept during casualty! Scandalous!
Maybe it’s time for you to go to bed. I’m going to try get some sleep soon. |
I wasn't actually on BBC1 but I had intended to switch channels...! Fell asleep watching something on E4 instead, can't even remember what. Maybe it was so boring and that's why I fell asleep, heh.
Yeah I probably should go, I've been intending to move for about an hour now. Need to be up fairly early tomorrow morning too. Night night, hope you sleep well when you go. =) |
Good night lovely. Sleep well.
|
I went to see die hard on the big screen tonight :-D
I've seen it a gajillion times before on the tellybox but my local cineworld was showing it in the VIP bit tonight so not only do you get a film but you get an all you can eat buffet unlimited snacks and juice during and a big comfy chair too :-D |
I've just checked to see if I could watch the movie on YouTube, can't, didn't think I'd be able to, I did like that movie.
|
I can watch clips on YouTube though
|
It'll be on the TV over Christmas, no doubt.
I only came here to say one thing: SNOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWW!! Walked the dog in the snow, now time to shower and go and have hot chocolate and cake with my friend. =) |
It's snowing here too. In fact it's rather heavy so much so that no buses are running in the entire county and that some shops are shut.
|
I'm in town and it's snowing but not settling. I bet it's settled at home though, I'm on the train heading that way so will find out soon! I need to be able to get into work so I'm hoping it doesn't get too heavy, especially as I live on a very steep hill and have to walk up and down it to get to the station/bus station.
|
Morning guys
Lots of snow here! I hope asda is still open! |
I'm going to Morrison's things to buy, budget of £10.
|
Ive been to asda.
Took ages because its so slippery! Snowing quite heavily again now. |
There's no snow here, just thick frost. Need some snacks but my car windows are all frosty and I'm too lazy to clear them!
|
Frosty windows must be annoying!
I remember my mum chucking hot water over the windscreen when we were kids but I'm pretty sure you're not actually meant to do that! |
I don't know if it's ok to use hot water, just not boiling water.
How is everyones day going? |
Evening all.
I’m at my sister’s spending the day with the cat. She’s so adorable. She’s sound asleep just now. |
Hey guys
Im just watching pirates of the Caribbean on tv. Sounds lovely Lorraine! |
*mumbles unmentionably rude things about the speed of her internet tonight.....*
|
Oh dear!
Slow internet is the worst |
I clocked up a high of 0.2 mb/s earlier...
|
And currently my speed checker says... 0.02 mb/s... Fantastic. Doesn't the internet know that all the urgent things I need to achieve involve being able to use it?!
*cry* ='( |
I feel for you!
Slow internet is so frustrating. Its funny though. I remember a time when I'd quite happily wait 5 mins to load a picture on the computer like 10 years ago. Nowadays I get frustrated if it takes more than 20 seconds to load a picture! How times change! |
I know.
I'm finding that I'm waiting for a page to load and get impatient so I open up another page and try to load something else... but that's just making the problem worse! |
I do that too! Lol!
|
We're too used to an age of super speed internet and doing a million things at once.
|
Yep! We're spoiled really with all thetechnology we have now.
I remember a time when touch screen technology was something that was on display in the science museum!! *is old* |
*is older...*
I think? |
I'm joining the elderly league in here I still remember seeing in a sci fi film set 'in the future' thumbprint related doors etc now I have it on my phone-madness
|
Im 26.
Not sure how old you are nonperson! Thats another thing that's changed. Back in the old days of RYL, it seemed that everyone was in their teens. Now we're mostly adults!! Hi Buttons! Yep all the face recognition and stuff was sooo futuristic and now its like...meh. |
I'm 33...
I spent most of my 20s on self harm forums, rather than my teens. But my teens were spent discovering the internet because it was all shiny and new to everyone back then. God, feel so old. |
hey all :)
Oh my days I remember discovering internet NP I remember when it was dial up and the house phone wouldn't work when the internet did :P |
Yeah, gotta love that dial-up tone!
And having it disconnect randomly all the time.... Sometimes just couldn't connect at all. And you'd be able to tell from that screeching dialing noise whether it was going to connect or not. Those were the days. =) |
Oh believe me I remember that noise. I'm so old though I remember having a computer when it didn't even have internet just word processor and pacman :P
|
On my first computer I mostly just played Sim City. Didn't get the internet until I was in my 20s I don't think. Used school and library internet.
|
Oh god that dial up tone!!
Don't forget pinball, minesweeper and solitaire!! And there were games you could get in cereal packets. I remember having a treasure planet game i got from a cereal packet |
I'd forgot about the Sims!!
And also still love solitaire. Also also what was that brick thing where you had to bounce a ball off the brick onto other bricks. I used to love that.-I mean a computer again not real life bricks :P |
Arkanoid. Oh yes.
|
^No wonder I have issues :P
|
No chucking bricks through peoples windows tonight in an attempt to somehow recreate a real life arkanoid.
|
That was a good game!!
Hahaa! Can imagine the conversation with the police... |
yeah 'well I used to have this computer game and now it's gone so I thought I'd terrorize people....despite not having any means of getting out of my house and I'd quite like to not break my own windows.'
|
Nah, don't break your own windows. It's too cold for that.
|
I know it's freezing here! And still have to keep explaining snow to my dog :P
|
How do you even explain snow to a dog?
|
By reassuring her when we go out or she goes in the garden that snow is not the worst thing that ever happened. Also she seems to believe I control the weather and created snow just to piss her off
