That's good tamo!

Aww beth!
Also, how are you?

Ahimsa 05-10-2024 12:54 PM

I'm okay, I didn't wake up until 12! How are you all?

Afternoon plans?

Cacoethes 05-10-2024 01:00 PM

That's a nice lie in!

I'm ok.
Me and L are attempting to decide what to do!
I was going to suggest wildlife park when she gets back. There's one about a 20 min drive away.

How about you?

Ahimsa 05-10-2024 01:05 PM

Is that like a safari? Would you be driving through or walking? - please be careful!!

I still need to wash my hair, I've just mould-sprayed the bathroom. I'd like to go for a walk this afternoon and maybe to the big charity shop.

I'm thinking, give the bathroom an hour and then go wash my hair and use that hour to do some chores, and then I can do whatever I want?

one_step_closer 05-10-2024 01:11 PM

Hi everyone.

Hope you enjoy your visit, Tamo.

What happened to resting, Beckie?

That sounds like a good plan, Beth.

Cacoethes 05-10-2024 01:17 PM

L has said no to the wildlife park because of the walking. She, and you guys, are correct!

Sounds like a decent plan beth!

Hello lindsay!
Any plans for today?

one_step_closer 05-10-2024 01:22 PM

Haha! We are all forcing you to look after yourself! Do you know what you're going to do instead?

I've done all my main stuff really. Been to the chemist, local shop, and post office, did a washing and cleaned my kitchen and bathroom.

Ahimsa 05-10-2024 01:24 PM

That's super productive!!!

one_step_closer 05-10-2024 01:25 PM

I do it all very quickly so it doesn't really feel like I've done a lot.

Cacoethes 05-10-2024 01:25 PM

You are! Conspiring against me :tongue2:
We'll probably just chill
The swelling is worse today and I am rather uncomfortable

Well done Lindsay!

one_step_closer 05-10-2024 01:26 PM

Are there ways to get more comfortable? How long will the swelling take to go down?

Cacoethes 05-10-2024 01:29 PM

Lymphatic drainage massage will help, apparently.
I'm waiting to hear back from a local-ish salon who does it as to whether it would be appropriate for me being post op. The swelling will go down, but it can take quite a while! Sometimes months! Depends on the person

long road 05-10-2024 01:34 PM

*waves*

Ahimsa 05-10-2024 01:40 PM

Hey LR *waves back*

not_so_insig 05-10-2024 02:01 PM

Afternoon all. I might try and finish my book this afternoon. There's nothing decent on the telly.

one_step_closer 05-10-2024 02:16 PM

Wishing you a speedy recovery, Beckie.

Hi Jen, how are you?

Have you stuck to your plan, Beth?

Hope you enjoy your book, Dawn.

Ahimsa 05-10-2024 02:19 PM

I sort of have, I've tidied and cleaned the counter in the kitchen and been through the bedside table drawer that's going to the tip (the bottom of the drawer got wet and mouldy)

I've washed my hair, and I'm going to take the bedside table and drawer to the tip this afternoon as its not too far from the charity shop I want to go to.

Just need to tackle drying my hair now!

not_so_insig 05-10-2024 02:19 PM

Thanks Lindsay. It's a fictional story about a pair of cats.

long road 05-10-2024 02:22 PM

Managed a shower this morning and going out for tea and cake this afternoon. Am in a bit of a sad though.

Ahimsa 05-10-2024 02:23 PM

What's it called Insig?

ooh cake! sorry to hear you're feeling sad :(

not_so_insig 05-10-2024 02:49 PM

I have finished my book now. I have also finished my goodreads yearly challenge but I have decided to amend the challenge. So now the challenge is to read 10 books (was 8). I don't think I will be amending it any more after that.

tamobhuuta 05-10-2024 03:30 PM

Well done everyone on all the things!

I had a good time with my mum. She brought presents that got lost yesterday and one that came in the post from my lovely Granma :)

not_so_insig 05-10-2024 03:53 PM

Thanks tamobhuuta and glad you had a good time.

Cacoethes 05-10-2024 04:42 PM

Hi Jen!
Sorry you're not feeling great. I hope you enjoy the tea and cake!

Thanks lindsay
Booked in for a lymphatic drainage massage on Monday, which I am very much looking forward to! Hopefully it will help!

Well done for things beth!

one_step_closer 05-10-2024 06:29 PM

Do you blow dry your hair, Beth? How long does it take to dry?

Well done for completing your Goodreads challenge, Dawn. Hope you can complete your amended goal.

Sorry you're feeling sad, Jen. I hope being out and having some tea and cake helps at least a little.

You're getting to have a 2 day birthday, Tamo!

That actually sounds kind of freaky to me, Beckie! Hope it helps though.

tamobhuuta 05-10-2024 06:50 PM

It's like being a kid, you get your actual birthday with family then at the weekend another birthday with friends. Except both with family...

I blow dry it which takes about 20 minutes, I can't leave it to air dry - I did that at work once and it was still damp when I finished 9 hours later!

Cacoethes 05-10-2024 07:41 PM

It does sound a bit freaky but I will literally try anything rn!

By the looks of the thickness of your hair beth, that does not surprise me XD

Ahimsa 05-10-2024 07:42 PM

Its wild isn't it, I once put it in one of those overnight curler things and it was still wet when I woke up.

I'm thinking I may go get some Doritos and dip

Cacoethes 05-10-2024 07:44 PM

Oooh. Important question. What flavour doritos and what dip??

Ahimsa 05-10-2024 07:45 PM

Orange Doritos and sour cream and chive dip - providing they have them!

I agree, very good question (gold star for good question)

Cacoethes 05-10-2024 07:46 PM

Excellent choice of both dorito and dip flavours!

Thank you! :-D

Ahimsa 05-10-2024 08:16 PM

They had both!

And therefore now so do I

Cacoethes 05-10-2024 10:17 PM

This is excellent news! I hope you enjoy them!

Cacoethes 06-10-2024 06:08 AM

Morning everyone!

tamobhuuta 06-10-2024 09:33 AM

Morning Cacoethes, how are you?

Cacoethes 06-10-2024 09:53 AM

Cacoethes 06-10-2024 10:37 AM

We've had a nice, slow morning!
Doing some washing and we're going for a roast for lunch, then asda to get some bits

tamobhuuta 06-10-2024 10:41 AM

That sounds like a nice Sunday :)

one_step_closer 06-10-2024 11:38 AM

Morning everyone.

I want cheese Doritos now!

Hope you're enjoying your time with your Dad, Tamo.

You ok to go round Asda, Beckie?

Cacoethes 06-10-2024 11:51 AM

It is thanks tamo :)

Morning lindsay!
You should get cheese doritos!

I'll see how I feel. I might stay in the car.
I do have to get 2 (short) trains tomorrow but London again on Tuesday so not doing too much today is probably the better option!

tamobhuuta 06-10-2024 12:46 PM

Take care of yourself Cacoethes.

I had a good time with my dad. Now I'm having lunch.

one_step_closer 06-10-2024 12:51 PM

Definitely try to pace yourself, Beckie.

What's for lunch, Tamo? I have a cheese and beans bake in the oven.

tamobhuuta 06-10-2024 12:56 PM

Cheese sandwich :) yours sounds yum

Cacoethes 06-10-2024 02:05 PM

Thanks guys
I am staying in the car! L is doing the shopping
I'm very full from my roast. Had the lamb shank.

Cheese and bean bake sounds yummy!

Cheese sandwiches are normally yum, but I never enjoyed the hospital ones!

Ahimsa 06-10-2024 02:15 PM

Afternoon all

tamobhuuta 06-10-2024 02:21 PM

Not a lot wrong with a cheese sandwich.

Hi Ahimsa, how are you?
