Think I'd rather get it out of the way rather than drag myself out again this evening or tomorrow when it's definitely quiet.

The google popular times thing says it's a little busy right now and dips a tiny bit at 3ish.

Cacoethes 14-08-2020 12:39 PM

Yeah probably best to get it out of the way!
Good luck on your quest! Hope you get something yummy!

nonperson 14-08-2020 12:50 PM

Ice lollies are on the list. =)

And pizza.

And I'll probably add a few more tasty goodies as I go along.

Cacoethes 14-08-2020 12:59 PM

Oooo nice!

nonperson 14-08-2020 01:08 PM

It's a pizza sort of weekend.

I dunno what to buy for other meals though... Getting a bit bored with my usual stuff.

Cacoethes 14-08-2020 01:16 PM

Have you got any recipe books laying around?
I have one slimming world one and I like to cook random things from that!

nonperson 14-08-2020 01:33 PM

I only have a student cookbook from years ago, haven't looked at that for a long long time. That's about my level of cooking though... but at the moment all I usually manage is stuff in the oven or microwave.

Cacoethes 14-08-2020 01:42 PM

Student cookbook sounds good!
Should be nice and easy
I understand about oven and microwave food though

nonperson 14-08-2020 01:55 PM

I'm a bit bored of salad on the side as well.

Cacoethes 14-08-2020 01:56 PM

Ew salad!
I love vegetables but not in a salad!

tamobhuuta 14-08-2020 02:03 PM

I have a student cook book that i never used until this year!

nonperson 14-08-2020 02:04 PM

By salad I just mean lettuce and tomatoes... and sometimes "five bean salad"... and croutons. And a heap of mayo. >.>

And veg is usually limited to green beans, sweetcorn and occasionally broccoli.

I'm not very adventurous.

Student cookbooks are not just for students. =)

Cacoethes 14-08-2020 02:15 PM

Yeah that type of salad is yuck to me!
And there's no point in buying mayo as I won't get through all of it before it goes off!

I have a slimming world meals for one cookbook which is very handy! Especially as I am back to slimming world now :-D

nonperson 14-08-2020 02:25 PM

Tomatoes are so good though.

I get through too much mayo. And I buy the big jars! =/

Hm, maybe I'll take a look at that book. Could be useful.

Cacoethes 14-08-2020 02:35 PM

I agree tomatoes are very good!
Just not in a salad :p

It's worth a try!

nonperson 14-08-2020 02:38 PM

But they are salad! Even on their own. =P

I should really be getting myself together to go to asda...

Cacoethes 14-08-2020 02:58 PM

To me a salad is lettuce!

You said 3pm was going to be less busy so go go go!!!

nonperson 14-08-2020 03:02 PM

*whine*

Cacoethes 14-08-2020 03:12 PM

Goooooo!!!!

tamobhuuta 14-08-2020 03:43 PM

I like mozzarella and tomato salad, if we're feeling posh we add basil leaves.

Cacoethes 14-08-2020 03:44 PM

Mozzarella is so yummy!

tamobhuuta 14-08-2020 05:01 PM

L is making some this evening :)

Cacoethes 14-08-2020 05:10 PM

Nice!
I'm having stir fry

tamobhuuta 14-08-2020 05:54 PM

Oh no, the cheese has gone wrong!

Cacoethes 14-08-2020 06:04 PM

Oh noooo!

It is raining

nonperson 14-08-2020 06:04 PM

Back from shopping... *collapse* x.X

How can cheese go wrong? o.o

I also like tomato and mozzerella salad, with a little pesto dressing. Yum!

Cacoethes 14-08-2020 06:19 PM

Well done np! How was it?

Mmm pesto

nonperson 14-08-2020 06:20 PM

Quite busy. =/

Wish I'd bought mozzerella now! I did get Angel Delight though. >.>

Cacoethes 14-08-2020 06:37 PM

At least it's done now!

Ooo angel delight! I am jealous!

nonperson 14-08-2020 06:43 PM

It is done.

Also think I missed a torrential rain shower while I was in there. The ground was soaked.

Need to order moulds now so I can freeze the angel delight into lollies.

Cacoethes 14-08-2020 06:47 PM

It rained quite a lot here

I've never tried that!

nonperson 14-08-2020 06:55 PM

It was something my mum used to do when we were kids and I want to give it a go. Hope it's as good as I remember!

Cacoethes 14-08-2020 06:59 PM

I may have to try that one day!

nonperson 14-08-2020 07:10 PM

Definitely!

Can someone stop me spending more money today please x.x

Cacoethes 14-08-2020 07:16 PM

I wish I could but I'm in the same boat!!!

nonperson 14-08-2020 07:19 PM

Eeek, oh dear. =/

I mean, like food and cat food and flea treatment were essential purchases... but there have been some non-essential ones too. Argh.

nonperson 14-08-2020 07:20 PM

I also want to buy an Australian bush hat!

Cacoethes 14-08-2020 07:21 PM

Saaaame.
I only had £1 in my account for days until today so you'd think I would have learned my lesson but nope!

EDIT: ninja post! Australian bush hats are cool

nonperson 14-08-2020 07:24 PM

Well, hope it was useful stuff at least!

I knowww. So cool. And I need a wide brimmed hat for sun protection, right? =)

Dunno if it'd suit me though and my head is annoyingly small (plus big ears and ponytail) which makes finding a normal sunhat that fits is a nightmare so...

Yeah I'm gonna stop trying to convince myself to do it now >.>

Cacoethes 14-08-2020 07:28 PM

Yeah it was.
And some new shoes!

Are there any shops about that you could try one on? Though I guess not many shops would have them

nonperson 14-08-2020 07:46 PM

Ooooooooooooooh new shoes. =D How often is pay day?

Nah, there's 0% chance of me going to any shop right now other than the supermarket.

It's annoying. I want one so badly but would probably look ridiculous and be way too self conscious to wear it in public anyway!

Cacoethes 14-08-2020 07:52 PM

Every 2 weeks and every month. But it's benefits so not a huge amount and I still have bills and stuff. I hate being an adult!

Fair enough!

Could you get one and return it if you didn't like it?

nonperson 14-08-2020 07:58 PM

At least that's fairly regularly. I used to get paid weekly so it was a big shock going to monthly pay!

Yeah probably could return it but that in itself is a stressful palaver even without masks and viruses. I'll just think about it some more. =P

Cacoethes 14-08-2020 08:04 PM

I can imagine!

That is true. I never return things because it's so much hassle!

nonperson 14-08-2020 08:07 PM

I've returned things to the petrol station before to be picked up, that was quite useful and easy instead of needing to go to the post office.

Or just gather all the useless stuff up once in a while and take it to a charity shop or for recycling.

Cacoethes 14-08-2020 08:19 PM

That sounds easy enough
I'm not sure where my nearest returns point is. If we even have one!

I just burned my finger and it really hurts!

nonperson 14-08-2020 08:21 PM

It's different for every place you order from, I think.

Oh no! Run it under cold water. =/

Cacoethes 14-08-2020 08:29 PM

That makes sense.
Actually I think I may have returned something before at a tiny newsagents about a 30 min walk away.

I did. It's throbbing still!
Making tea is dangerous
I somehow manged to submerge my entire middle finger in a cup of tea. Don't ask me how!!

nonperson 14-08-2020 08:33 PM

Eek, can you wrap it in ice? i don't really know the first aid procedure for a finger dipped in tea!

I just watched half of Salad Fingers "Spoons" and had to stop. x.X

Cacoethes 14-08-2020 08:36 PM

It's slowly getting better.
I think I'll live!
I have hiccups again :plain:

Salad Fingers is incredibly creepy.
I was traumatised for years after my babysitter showed it to me and my siblings one evening
