Hey lindsay!
How are you? Yes i am getting my hair a cool colour! Or colours rather! Lol! I knew that would summon you Jenna! |
I knew that it would summon Jenna too.
|
Lol!
What's everyone up to this afternoon/evening? I'm just back from the hairdressers. Waiting for cpn to either turn up or call. I'm not sure which one! And I have an amazon parcel coming. And a tesco delivery! |
I love dyeing my hair!!! I do it myself though because i find the hairdressers a bit annoying even on a good day….
I have a headache. Woe!!! I kind of want to go an take some paracetamol but i have this distinct feeling that my life Will Fall apart if i leave my comfy couch. Double woe!!, |
I love going to the hairdressers!
I have lots of different colours kind of blended so would find it hard to do myself! Oh nooo! Headaches are awful. Take paracetamol! Leaving the couch can be really hard but it will be worth it! |
I am waiting for a parcel too Beckie. Hope you got crisps in your tesco shopping order. Though there's apparently a shortage because the oil that's used in the process comes from Russia.
|
Darn i forgot to get crisps!!!
I did get biscuits though! I'll pick up some crisps in town tomorrow Ohh i didn't know that! That's not good :/ This whole Russia thing has really been making me sad lately |
Your hair looks amazing Beckie! Sounds like you have a busy day. Has your CPN been in touch yet? Have your deliveries been? So much!
Definitely quickly run for the Paracetamol Kat and then run back to the couch. Crisps shortage  I hate the world right now. |
Ninja.
What biscuits did you get? The way the world is right now is making me sad too. All the price hikes too. It's going to be hard to afford things. |
Thanks lindsay!
Cpn said she is coming. She finishes at 6 today so will probably be here soon. My parcel has been, tesco is coming between 6-10! Hopefully I'll be able to stay awake after the olanzapine! I got custard creams and chocolate hob nobs! Oh god the price hikes. They are worrying me too State of the world right now |
I've taken some paracetamol and currently having a foot spa because life is ****, the world is **** and maybe a good foot spa Will bring forth the illusion of better times…
The war is crazy. Putin is a power hungry ******** who is surrounded by people of equal craziness as himself or people who are too scared to disagree with anything he wants. I had the very naive hope that my generation would be the generation that didn't see any major wars through their lifetime…. Now who knows where the hell this is going to end??? Prices have gone up insanely fast here in Denmark and they are not about to stop anytime soon. I feel so terrible about people who can barely make ends meet already. We've seen stories here of people who have to leave their homes and move elsewhere because they can't afford the electricity and heating bills…. I am willing to pay more for everything if it means we can stop this madness happening in Ukraine. But some people don't have the luxury to be able to afford that and they are basically screwed. It's a ****ing sad time to be alive in!!! |
I hope it goes well with your CPN.
It can be hard to fight against drowsiness, I hope your delivery comes at a time where you can get everything put away and you can get to sleep when you need to. |
I hope your paracetamol and foot spa can change the world for the better, or at least make you feel better Kat.
|
Thanks lindsay
Completely agree zurg. It's bloody awful |
My parcel is still not here  It was supposed to be here between 4 and 6 pm. I have an amazon parcel coming tomorrow I will not be happy if the same thing happens again.
|
Dawn, sometimes i wonder what happens to delivery people. Do they just drive ahead, deliver a few parcels and then go 'nah, this sucks!! I'm gonna go and smoke some weed and drink some beers instead!!'
I legit Think this is the only logical explanation as to why parcels sometimes just disappear in the parcel delievery system….. |
I think I'd do that if i was a delivery driver XD
Especially as it's 420 dau today :tongue2: |
Yeah, if i was driving around in a delievery Van, i'd had probably alredy smoked something funny and had more than my fair share of alcoholic beverages seeing as i don't drive, don't know how to and i Will never ever desire to try for a driver's license. Some sort of illegal substance would have to be involved in that instance!!!! O_o
|
I don't drive either! Even if i went a year seizure free i still wouldn't. Not worth the risk!
Must be a **** job in general though! |
I have had my parcel. About 2 hours late mind you.
|
That's good dawn.
Maybe they got stuck in traffic or something |
Morning everyone!
I was up at 6am for some reason lol |
Morning Beckie.
I was up less than two hours ago and i still feel like i have yet to wake up…. How are you?? |
Morning zurg!
Coffee?? I'm ok thanks! Should be getting discharged today! Though i am yet to find out if i actually have to go back to the ward for ward round or not! I'm gonna call the ward after 9am so they'll be able to confirm with the drs. |
I thought you got discharged last week?
|
Only on home leave for the week!
Official discharge today! And it's online thankfully! |
Is it just a formality?
|
Pretty much!
But i am not officially discharged yet! Ugh! Apparently the CTO thing has to be done in person. So amhps are coming to my house on Monday to sort it. And THEN i can finally be discharged! |
Sounds annoying all the things that need to be done to make it official Beckie.
You feeling more awake yet Kat? How are you Tamo? |
It is very annoying!
I've also had a blood test booked for me! Just got the text saying 'confirmation of appointment' and I'm like...what appointment?! Lol How are you lindsay? |
You must be used to blood tests by now. Still annoying though. Is it at a certain time? I'd hate for someone to arrange an appointment for me in case the time doesn't suit me.
I'm feeling a bit emotionally achey if that makes sense and anxious. |
Yeah I'm very used to them now!
Was having them every day at one point! I don't mind them at all. Yes they did arrange a time for me! Luckily it's on a day that i am free! That makes sense. Sorry to hear that lindsay. Here if you need to talk |
That's good that the day and time for the blood test suit you. What are you doing today?
I've got some flexible things to do which I've put on my to do list for the next few days. They are important though. Getting rid of black mould/damp/whatever it is and maybe seeing if I can make room for new bedroom drawers I've chosen. My support worker said she can help me with it but I need to make sure all the measurements are right because I still need to fit in some other clothes storage I have at the moment. It's stressful even thinking about it. I'll need to start drying my washing outside to avoid creating the black stuff on the walls. I have it in my bedroom too, maybe just need to have the window open for a while through the day. |
Afternoon all. I am in a tricky situation. I am too hot if I have my windows closed yet too cold if I have them open.
My dad is still testing positive for covid (he did a test today) so I told my mum that I won't be visiting this weekend. |
I just had to post off my Nintendo switch to music magpie. Sad times.
That does sound like a lot to deal with lindsay. I've not had the black stuff issue before but I've heard keeping windows open helps That's a shame dawn. Probably sensible not to go over |
Maybe use a fan or put on a jumper Dawn? I hope your Dad gets better soon. What will you do instead of visiting?
That is sad Beckie. I hope you don't have to sell any other things you like. Yeah opening a window in the room is supposed to help. I keep forgetting to do that with my bedroom but my box room where I dry my clothes doesn't have a window that can be opened so I really need to be drying my clothes outside when I can even if it annoys my hay fever. What are you all doing with the rest of your day? It was after 8.30pm that I closed my blinds and put a light on last night. |
I hope not too!
Outside dried clothes smell soooo good!!! Do you get quite bad hayfever? I'm watching a really crap zombie type movie called 'covid 21: lethal virus' I've been on a bit of an apocalypse/virus/dystopian type binge lately!! That is late lindsay! It's going to make walking home from work a lot nicer! |
My hay fever varies in intensity I'll maybe need to be aware of the pollen count and dry things inside if it's high.
You're watching the film even though it's crap? |
Sounds sensible!
Yeah lol! I've finished it now I secretly love really terrible films. Especially shark ones!! |
Lindsay, i get the same thing on my bathroom walls where the water from the shower hits. You can get rid of it. In Denmark we have something called Rodalon which is great for scrubbing off mould with. It is a sort of chemical that kills the fungus/mould and desinfects the area that you use it on. It isn't toxic like a lot of other things though you should probably use gloves when scrubbing because it dries out your skin quite easily.
I find it's more a problem during winter when the Air outside is cold and i have the Window open after a shower…. During the summer when the Air is more warm it usually doesn't happen. I am sure there is a very splendid Scientific explanation for that, involving lots of Biology, chemistry and whatever else, which i have not yet bothered to research any further ;-) I've just had dinner. Now i am trying to pretend i am not at all bothered by the dishes i need to do while i am drinking coke and sitting on my couch…. |
I've never had to deal with mould. I am lucky!
Ugh. Dishes! They're the worst |
Rumour has it that if you continuosly say you haven't had any mould in your home then you shall be haunted by the ghost of fungus and mould forever and ever!!!! Because the Universe is basically an evil genious with too much time on her hands!!!!
I did the dishes :D Now i am having coffee. I had to put my weighted duvet away for the summer tonight which saddens me a lot. I sleep a lot more lightly without him but he is simply too warm to keep me company. I generate a lot of heat during sleep which is awesome during winter and ****ing awful during summer. I shall see you on the other side, Boerge Preben!!! (Yes, i named my weighted duvet :-) ) |
Oh nooooo!!!!
Yay well done! I may have coffee too Weighted blankets are supposed to be really good! Jasmine has one! It's cute that you've named him! |
Jasmine is cool!!! Weighted blankets are the most awesome invention ever!!! I had one during a very short admission a number of years ago and i was like 'woah, how come i've survived for so long without a weighted blanket???' So i sent off an application for one, had my support worker and another helpful person back up my application, didn't hear a thing for close to a year when suddenly they phoned me and asked if i was still interested in getting one, lol. Yes, please!!! A couple of days later i had it delivered. I Think this is the only thing i have ever been granted and i shall bite them if they try to take it back!!!!
|
That's amazing!
Jasmine struggles with sleep sometimes and it really helps her! Don't think she's named it though :tongue2: |
For many years i struggled with embracing my weirdness. But when i finally gave in, i decided that naming stuff was an obvious part of it. Even my weirdest friends Think i'm a bit weird….
|
I prefer weird people to normal people!!!
|
When i grew up, being weird was really not cool. So i spent most of my childhood and youth with the other outcasts. I don't mind normal people, i just can't be like them if that makes sense….
|
Yep same!!!
