The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
right now I'm reading a book called tales of a madman underground. It's pretty good
Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert.
Just finished Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, now reading 1Q84 by Murakami.
The Help, Kathryn Stockett
^ I loved the book and the film.
I loved the book but didn't get the chance to see the film :(
Fallout- Ellen Hopkins. The Help was an amazing book, the film was good too but not as good as the book
Snuff by Terry Pratchett
Just finished Death Mask by Kathryn Fox. It's about sexual abuse by US footballers, a crime/thriller novel. Excellent. Outside 'my' genre, but none of these loads of detectives and police people, it was more psychological fiction in a way. Which for me = good.
Now on Last Night in Twisted River by John Irving. |
Confessions of a Conjuror - Derren Brown.
I just bought a couple new books (because i have to have something to read lying around)
Can't remember what one is but the other is an Anita Blake vampire hunter, unfortunatly at the time in the shop i couldnt work out which one came first so i started part way through the series (as usual for me) |
Saving Max - Antoinette van Heugten.
I just finished *Just Breathe by Susan Wiggs* yesterday and it is a really good book to read it! Now, I have no idea what books i likes to read it LOL!
One step closer - you read really fast ! im still plodding my way through midnights children! x
Every time I start a book it's like i'm on a mission to finish it as quickly as possible so I can get on to the next book!
I stopped reading Devils/The Possessed by Fyodor Dostoevsky, it's just too slow-paced and I don't have the patience for it right now. I'll go back to it someday.
In the meantime I'm re-reading The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien, followed by The Lord of the Rings (which is also very slow-paced, I know, but for some reason it doesn't bother me with this particular book). |
I'm reading Human Traces - Sebastian Faulks. So far I dont think its in the same league as Birdsong but it is interesting. Hard going but it gets better.
