I prefer the taste of long life milk, strangely. It does taste different.

From a few pages ago where Aubergine had an out-of-date milk disaster!

Aubergine 09-09-2018 11:10 PM

I poured gone off milk on my cereal. It was a tragedy! Luckily I keep emergency UHT milk, so I could still have some .

chinahorse 09-09-2018 11:26 PM

Oh that sounds grim aubergine!

nonperson 09-09-2018 11:29 PM

I probably have gone off milk all the time because I can't smell it. =/

Aubergine 09-09-2018 11:29 PM

It was rather grim when I took a mouthful! Yuck.

Alec has got hold of a carton of kitten milk and opened it t and there's milk all over the kitchen floor.

nonperson 10-09-2018 01:09 AM

Naughty Alec...!

Aubergine 10-09-2018 06:13 AM

Morning everyone. :)

chinahorse 10-09-2018 06:43 AM

Morning aubergine :)

Aubergine 10-09-2018 06:47 AM

Hey Lillie! You're awake early for a day off!

chinahorse 10-09-2018 07:03 AM

I am, which sucks but at least I can potentially nap at some point.

Aubergine 10-09-2018 07:17 AM

Yes, that is true! I've got a lady from remploy coming at some point, but I can't remember what time! Will have to phone her at 9am I think. I wish my brain would work properly!

chinahorse 10-09-2018 07:18 AM

OOps! But good plan. I write everything down. My calendar has a white board at the top which is super handy and I write all my appointments on it. Its also stuck to the fridge so I can't miss it as I rarely start the day without a cuppa.

Aubergine 10-09-2018 07:24 AM

That's a good idea! I have a wall planner up in my kitchen, but I often forget to write stuff on it.

I start work coaching on Friday with a psychotherapist who specialises in employment issues. The government have funded 10 sessions 850 pounds! I'm super grateful and I Know I've got to work hard. We're starting off with confidence building, I think!

chinahorse 10-09-2018 07:27 AM

That sounds amazingly helpful! And I didn't even know that was a thing.

chinahorse 10-09-2018 07:28 AM

There is however a flaw in my organisation- I know I have an appointment at the hospital today and I know where in the hospital. But I 0 clue what its for! Possibly physio or psychology?

Aubergine 10-09-2018 07:30 AM

It is a thing! If you thought it might be helpful for you, get in contact with access to work. They'll assign you a worker who will put a business case forward for funding. Might be worth giving it a go given how much you struggle with work.

Aubergine 10-09-2018 07:30 AM

It'll be a surprise!

chinahorse 10-09-2018 07:32 AM

Possibly but I'd struggle a lot to fit it in with the hours I work. Everything that may possibly be useful takes place in working hours-grr.

I'd rather get a bonus or a pony or someone to cook me tea.

Aubergine 10-09-2018 07:35 AM

That is frustrating.

A bonus would be nice! I got one this year!

Someone to cook tea for you would be fabulous! I would like one of those too!

chinahorse 10-09-2018 07:39 AM

I hate being penalised for working!

OOo lucky you. Mind I've had a pay rise and I haven't even been in my job for 6 months yet.

Aubergine 10-09-2018 07:45 AM

It's rubbish for you, it really is. Should not be that way at all!

Ooo payrise sounds good!

chinahorse 10-09-2018 07:48 AM

Haha it is but Its swallowed into taxes, loan repayment and exam fees. But its nice they value me enough to give me one.

Aubergine 10-09-2018 08:07 AM

Oh boo. but yes, it is nice that they recognise your value. you must be awesome at your job!

chinahorse 10-09-2018 08:22 AM

Hardly. Its more like I haven't walked out or taken 28 sick days yet. (not a random number 1 girl took 28 sick days last year- shes one of those who wished they were mentally ill)

Aubergine 10-09-2018 08:25 AM

Oh, I see. She wished she was mentally ill? How odd. Can't say anything about 28 sick days as I've just had two months off...

chinahorse 10-09-2018 08:26 AM

Yes but you were in hospital etc. Shes essentially hung over most of her days off or 'having a panic attack' but able to hold a fully coherent text conversation.

Aubergine 10-09-2018 08:30 AM

I suppose, yes. Oh dear. I don't know how anyone can have a coherent text conversation (or any conversation) during a panic attack. All I can think about is if I'm going to die!

chinahorse 10-09-2018 08:41 AM

Yeah- shes also one of those with such bad anxiety she needs to be signed off for a week and can't leave the house but puts things on snapchat of her dancing topless in a bar during that time.
Grr.

When are you workign today?

Aubergine 10-09-2018 08:47 AM

Oh dear. That's a bit silly of her! I would be cross too, especially as you fight through a lot of pain to go to work every day.

I'm working 2pm until 4pm. Bit nervous but also kind of looking forward to it. I'm starting to dispense again on Friday, I think. That'll be a test!

chinahorse 10-09-2018 08:52 AM

Its great you're looking forward to it! And a tiny bit of nerves is normal and helpful usually.

I'm trying to find some new things to do with my hair and its too long to achieve most of them!

Aubergine 10-09-2018 08:56 AM

Yeah, I guess you're right about the nerves. I do love my job.

You do have super long hair! What kind of things are you trying to do?

chinahorse 10-09-2018 08:59 AM

:) and thats such a good thing!

Anything thats not a bun, pony tail, fishtail/frech/normal plait. But it has to be easy as I'm as rubbish at hair as I am at make up! :-P

chinahorse 10-09-2018 09:01 AM

Right, I need to go wash said hair so I look less like a fluffy, greasy ball.

Aubergine 10-09-2018 09:01 AM

It is. :)

Hmm. I've got quite short hair so don't really style it. Have you looked on YouTube? Your make up is good!

Aubergine 10-09-2018 09:02 AM

Gogogo!

chinahorse 10-09-2018 09:03 AM

Ahhh see I found my bob impossible to style!

Lol thanks, I do the same look with or without eyeliner and lipstick.

chinahorse 10-09-2018 09:03 AM

I cant be arrrsssseeeeeed.

Aubergine 10-09-2018 09:09 AM

I use the same makeup every day pretty much. I'm not very good at applying it.

I bet it's a hassle to wash your hair given how much of it there is. You might feel refreshed after doing it though. I hate it when my hair is greasy!

chinahorse 10-09-2018 10:23 AM

A lot of make up application is in the brushes and its so much easier with quality ones!

The washing it is ok enough- I do have to part it down the middle and do it in two halves which I thought was normal until a few months ago :-P its the drying of it.

And I agree, greasy hair is a horrible feeling.

Aubergine 10-09-2018 10:27 AM

How do you dry your hair?

I only use a BB cream on my face and I apply that with my hands. I can never get proper foundation right! Perhaps it's the brushes I've used.

chinahorse 10-09-2018 10:29 AM

In sections and layers and with lots of product unless I want it to look like a fluffy nightmare!

Is BB cream any good?

I only wear concealer, blusher or bronzer and eye make up. Foundation seems unnecessary.

Aubergine 10-09-2018 10:38 AM

Oh I see! You don't want to look like a fluffy nighmare! What products do you use?

I like my BB cream. it just evens out my skin tone a bit. I don't use concealer, but I do use blush and a bit of eye makeup.

I didn't used to wear it, but now I'm a bit older...

chinahorse 10-09-2018 10:46 AM

Usually just a lot of smoothing serum/ oil- whatever is on offer but is designed for frizzy hair.

Haha you're not ancient and in need of it! But if it makes you feel good then go for it!

My skin is literally the same colour on the whole of my face- I don't appear to possess the ability to blush naturally :P

Eska 10-09-2018 10:51 AM

Hello! How is everyone? Update me!

Aubergine 10-09-2018 10:54 AM

It's good to get stuff on offer - sometimes you can get a bargain.

Haha thanks. Now I'm 31 I feel like I should wear it. Not that I have wrinkles or anything. Yet. Hah.

It's good to have an even skin tone! Who needs to blush for real when you can brush it on?!

Aubergine 10-09-2018 10:54 AM

Eska! How are you?

chinahorse 10-09-2018 10:57 AM

Hey eska :) how're you?

I'm restless but knackered. And bored.

Aubergine 10-09-2018 11:01 AM

That doesn't sound fun, Lillie. I never get bored. Perhaps I'm a bit weird!

chinahorse 10-09-2018 11:03 AM

That'd be amazing! Like literally never?

Its cos I know I've stuff to do but am too tired to do it.
