That’s a good idea.

Buttons. 22-12-2017 08:15 PM

Everyone sounds very productive. Oh doggo loves the garden, obv still give her a walk out and about but if it's short we spend some time with me throwing a toy in the (quite large) garden for her.

The holiday Armadillo made friends with a llama
Which Lins didn't like even though it wouldn't harm her
Because Buttons and friends are tormenting her with
Who was it from? Who is this?
Buttons is curled up happy with dog
She's happy with her soup and no sign of fog
Torementing thread goers as she goes
What her head contains nobody quite knows :P

There's a song for you Lins as requested. Doesn't quite match to jingle bells but I'm sure you or someone else will find a tune.

I think it's awesome how well you are getting on in education Beckie and coping with the stress.

one_step_closer 22-12-2017 08:15 PM

Are you any good at wrapping Lorraine?

Good stuff Beckie. What kind of pasta are you having?

I was going to go to the new dessert place near me after feeding my friend's cat but I just walked past and chickened out.

Sketchy 22-12-2017 08:17 PM

Hahaha that is a brilliant song!

Buttons. 22-12-2017 08:17 PM

Okay it fits to an oompa loompa song quite well :P

Love it. Christmas carol of the present and future.

one_step_closer 22-12-2017 08:18 PM

Oompa Loompa tune totally works!

Sketchy 22-12-2017 08:18 PM

I’m alright at wrapping. I get a bit frustrated with it though.

That’s a shame Lindsay. Maybe you can try another tune.

Buttons. 22-12-2017 08:19 PM

Well I am clearly talented *bows* :P

Lins you didn't chicken out you balanced whether it was too stressful to try and decided not to push yourself too far. That's learning what temporary limits are in place and listening to yourself and what you feel comfortable with, provided obviously it's not urgent/important.

one_step_closer 22-12-2017 08:20 PM

I think it's frustrating wrapping lots of things at once. I'm quite used to wrapping though as I send a lot of books that people buy or mooch off me and I used to wrap them with brown paper.

one_step_closer 22-12-2017 08:20 PM

What a professional statement Buttons! You clearly know too much about the human condition.

Buttons. 22-12-2017 08:24 PM

Ha ha I have been known to be wise once upon a time. Unfortunately most of what I say now is utter drivel. But when I make a rare serious statement I tend to mean it.

I am still a wrapping rebel where possible I never do.

Cacoethes 22-12-2017 08:25 PM

Im having pasta and pesto!

That song is epic!

Sketchy 22-12-2017 08:26 PM

Pasta and pesto sounds good!

Cacoethes 22-12-2017 08:26 PM

With lots of cheese!!

Sketchy 22-12-2017 08:28 PM

Yum!!!!!

I really should do some housework but I can’t be bothered. I’ll do it in a little while.

Buttons. 22-12-2017 08:32 PM

Pesto is disgusting, cheese is awesome.

House work sucks if only we all had house elves to do the job for us :P

Sketchy 22-12-2017 08:33 PM

House elves would be fantastic.

one_step_closer 22-12-2017 08:34 PM

I've just had some toast and chocolate spread partly due to all the food talk in here!

We can have house elves as long as we treat them right though.

Buttons. 22-12-2017 08:35 PM

Oh yes they would be free elves like Dobby who voluntarily worked for us.

Buttons. 22-12-2017 08:36 PM

Plenty of socks available.

Sketchy 22-12-2017 08:36 PM

Hope you enjoyed your toast Lindsay. There’s always food talk on this thread.

Cacoethes 22-12-2017 08:37 PM

I need to have a clean tomorrow.
It will be nice to come back to a clean house after Christmas

one_step_closer 22-12-2017 08:38 PM

Clean house = great. I don't do a lot of cleaning, bad me, forcing myself to do some because I can't invite my brother into an unclean house.

Cacoethes 22-12-2017 08:39 PM

I don't do a lot of cleaning either tbh!
I hate cleaning.
I mainly clean when I've got a house inspection coming up!

one_step_closer 22-12-2017 08:42 PM

My neighbour and one of my friends clean and hoover every day. Who can be bothered with that?!

So much this :P

Cacoethes 22-12-2017 08:45 PM

Pfft, hoovering every day!?!?!
Well, my mum has to clean every day because of children and the puppy making a lot of mess!

Buttons. 22-12-2017 08:48 PM

I gave my support worker a house elf card as we'd just watched all the HP films together. Luckily she found it funny.

Buttons. 22-12-2017 08:51 PM

Although my dog is still suspicious of the hoover no matter who is using it. Clearly it's going to hoover us all up :P

Cacoethes 22-12-2017 08:52 PM

Animals don't tend to like hoovers!!

I mainly just sweep as I have wood floors

one_step_closer 22-12-2017 09:00 PM

Poor doggy. My cats don't like the hoover either.

Buttons. 22-12-2017 09:08 PM

Ha ha well unfortunately I have carpet in my living room (albeit one I don't like) as I can't afford to recarpet and also it's technically the Landlord's as it was here when I moved in a few years ago but it's still nice to have it clean.

Cacoethes 22-12-2017 09:10 PM

I love carpet. Went to have a look around mum's nearly finished house and they have lovely thick, soft carpets with underfloor heating everywhere. Soooo nice!!

I like having wood floor in a rented house though because its easier to keep clean!

Buttons. 22-12-2017 09:11 PM

Although mopping the kitchen floor is also annoying as the minute someone tramps through it there are muddy foot prints. I remember that when I worked (before mobility issues) I would carefully mop a floor then someone would want something from the kitchen walk through with muddy shoes and I'd be there like are you fricking kidding me :P

not_so_insig 22-12-2017 09:12 PM

One of my cats doesn't bother with the hoover unless it gets really close. I had one cat which never bothered about the hoover but hated the iron.

Cacoethes 22-12-2017 09:13 PM

I hate mopping!
I always make sure I have everything I need from the kitchen before mopping!!

Buttons. 22-12-2017 09:13 PM

Wooden floor is definitely easier! I'd only have carpet by choice if I was rich and it didn't really matter. But needs must :P

Did you try to iron your cat :P

not_so_insig 22-12-2017 09:17 PM

No each time the iron came out he would put his ears flat back and hiss at the iron. He must have had an bad experience with a iron but he was a stray before I had him so I never knew what happened.

Cacoethes 22-12-2017 09:17 PM

I own an iron but never used it

Buttons. 22-12-2017 09:19 PM

Also mopping sucks. When I was working I didn't mind the mopping it was the people then tramping through it that pissed me off :P I remember losing my mind with people senior to me when they tried to go through the corridor I'd just mopped when they didn't need to and being there like if.you.wreck.that.floor.you.can.be.the.ones.who.mo p.it.again. They decided to go a different way :P

Cacoethes 22-12-2017 09:20 PM

Hahahaa!!
I'd be the same tbh!

I was only teasing Dawn. It might just be the sound the iron makes sounds like hissing so is confusing, like when my dog hears a bark on TV.

I think I have an iron somewhere...however I have lived independently since I was 18 am now 25 and have never yet used the iron. I used to like helping my mum with ironing as a kid but when I got freedom I was like I am too lazy for this sod it.

Sketchy 22-12-2017 09:25 PM

I never iron either. I hang my clothes so they don’t need it. On the rare occasion I do iron it puts me in a bad mood.

I still have some roses chocolates left. :)

Cacoethes 22-12-2017 09:26 PM

I am so bad at ironing.
Did it when i lived at home a couple of times.
Mum used to send out the ironing though.
I only purchased an iron because when I was at work, they said that my uniform was too crinkly!
But the laundry lady offered to iron my uniform for me in the mornings. So I'd be standing there in the laundry room in a massive pink fluffy dressing gown while she was ironing my trousers XD

Buttons. 22-12-2017 09:27 PM

Yeah I hang my clothes too so it's rarely necessary and if it is frankly I don't care.

Enjoy your chocolates Lorraine :)

Sketchy 22-12-2017 09:29 PM

Thanks Buttons.

Beckie you are so posh it's unbelievable. 'we sent out the ironing' 'the lady ironed my uniforms for me' :P If I'd asked someone when I was nursing to iron my uniforms I'm pretty sure they'd have punched me in the face :P

I used to be quite good at it but it's been 7 years at least so...

Cacoethes 22-12-2017 09:33 PM

Hahahah!
I did grow up in a rather middle class household :p
One of the evil social workers described me as 'working class' in one of her reports and I was like 'excuuseee mee?!??!'
