Hey all.

I know the feeling, Beckie.

Sorry you slept badly, Tamo.

Cacoethes 08-03-2021 11:15 AM

Sorry to hear that tamo
Do you have much to do today?

I'm not great but I'll live
Smear test in 5 minutes :ermm:

How are you np?

nonperson 08-03-2021 11:16 AM

Eek, good luck. Mention it to the nurse if you're worried.

I'm ok.

Cacoethes 08-03-2021 11:38 AM

It wasn't too bad really. Just slightly uncomfortable.

Glad you're ok np

one_step_closer 08-03-2021 11:51 AM

Well done for managing that Beckie.

tamobhuuta 08-03-2021 12:36 PM

Well done Cacoethes.

Cacoethes 08-03-2021 12:55 PM

Thanks guys :)

shadow-light 08-03-2021 12:56 PM

how's people today?

tamobhuuta 08-03-2021 12:57 PM

I'm ok, a bit anxious. But I have put clothes on.

shadow-light 08-03-2021 01:00 PM

you're ahead of me then, i've not got to the getting dressed stage yet... really should as got to go out in an hour

nonperson 08-03-2021 01:03 PM

When people say they've put clothes on it always makes me think that they were just sitting around naked before!

Why is it not lunchtime yet...

Cacoethes 08-03-2021 01:05 PM

Me too np!

What time is your lunch?

not_so_insig 08-03-2021 01:06 PM

Afternoon all.

shadow-light 08-03-2021 01:10 PM

anyone got much going on today?

Cacoethes 08-03-2021 01:10 PM

Not really. Already done all my things!
How about you?

not_so_insig 08-03-2021 01:11 PM

Nope shadow light. Monday is my day where I dont see anyone.

shadow-light 08-03-2021 01:14 PM

i've got to go pick up 800 leaflets at 1 that I then need to hand deliver this week - only work I seem to be able to find at the moment :wow:

and got a IAPT phonecall this afternoon to discuss treatment as their wellness course didn;t help me

hate phonecalls

tamobhuuta 08-03-2021 01:17 PM

I hate phone calls too, even with friends.

shadow-light 08-03-2021 01:22 PM

you'd think fter this past year phonecalls would have gotten easier due to practice :sigh:

not_so_insig 08-03-2021 01:23 PM

I prefer to text people

nonperson 08-03-2021 01:29 PM

Thank goodness I'm not the only one who thinks that, Beckie!

Lunchtime is 1pm so not long to wait now.

Cacoethes 08-03-2021 01:30 PM

Work is hard to come by at the moment
Good luck with your phone call!
I hate them too

Ninja post np!
That's not long. What's for lunch?

shadow-light 08-03-2021 01:34 PM

12.30 is lunch here :P

ye, the job market is pants... i've not far off had no income for a year now though so all sort of adulty bank stuff is getting threatened that I dont understand

I have to attempt to be honest with IAPT today, which I am dreading... I tried being honest with my GP a few weeks back and he dismissed me because I have "too much self awareness"

shadow-light 08-03-2021 01:35 PM

does anyone else kind of feel like making phoecalls is rude? I've tried explining this to others and they give me funy looks... But basically I feel like if I phone people then I am demanding thier attention and it feels rude

Cacoethes 08-03-2021 01:38 PM

That doesn't sound good :/

Definitely be honest. Some GPs just don't get it but hopefully IAPT will.

I get what you mean

nonperson 08-03-2021 02:31 PM

Yeah I always feel like I'm interrupting people if I have to call them. I'd rather sent a text then they can read and respond when it's convenient for them.

Lunch was sausage rolls and a cupasoup and some blueberry chocolate that I bought ages ago and didn't really like, hence why it hadn't been eaten.

Cacoethes 08-03-2021 02:42 PM

That's why I hate calling my cpn or my mum because I know they're really busy!
Definitely prefer sending a text

Sounds nice!
I do love a good sausage roll.
Very nearly got one this morning when I got my coffee from the bakery

shadow-light 08-03-2021 04:58 PM

spoken to IAPT

it could have gone better :ermm:

Cacoethes 08-03-2021 05:01 PM

Oh dear :/
How do you feel about it?

shadow-light 08-03-2021 05:06 PM

not great... basically i am on ANOTHER 12 month waiting list so no help for a year again :sigh:

but anyway, nnot a topic for in here

Cacoethes 08-03-2021 05:14 PM

Whaaat?!
That's insane!

one_step_closer 08-03-2021 06:08 PM

That's hardly improving access to therapy!

nonperson 08-03-2021 06:17 PM

12 months? That's appalling.

Cacoethes 08-03-2021 06:18 PM

What a state the nhs is in.
I mean, I'm very grateful for it but it could improve a lot!

nonperson 08-03-2021 06:31 PM

It likely won't improve much with the 1% pay rise either. =/

Cacoethes 08-03-2021 06:33 PM

Definitely not.
What an insult to them!

nonperson 08-03-2021 06:43 PM

Totally.

Cacoethes 08-03-2021 06:44 PM

It's terrible.

What are you having for dinner np?

nonperson 08-03-2021 06:50 PM

I heard someone was organising a slow clap for the NHS because of the pay rise thing, which kind of amuses me because what could sound more sarcastic/unimpressed than slow clapping.

Ugh, I don't really know. Feel like I should consume some vegetables though...

What about you?

Cacoethes 08-03-2021 06:51 PM

That would be very amusing!

Vegetables sounds like a good plan!

I had chicken noodle soup

nonperson 08-03-2021 06:56 PM

I looove chicken noodle soup. Ultimate comfort food.

Vegetables, not so much.

the Last Leg mentioned something liek that, cant remember the details though

nonperson 08-03-2021 06:59 PM

That sounds like something they'd talk about! Don't know if it's a real thing though.

Cacoethes 08-03-2021 07:01 PM

It is very good!

Vegetables can be amazing depending on how you cook them!

I like the last leg but didn't see that one

worst bit is, it's 12 months becuase "my symptoms are serious enough to bump me up the list" so it's probably more like 24 moths for many people

nonperson 08-03-2021 07:09 PM

Damn... o.O

No no no!

I'd know they were there. D=

Cacoethes 08-03-2021 07:12 PM

Hiding the vegetables is a good idea!

That's even more insane!
How can they say these things to people?!

Ninja post np!

But it would probably taste the same anyway!
