Morning!

Someone make me go shower? And remove my chipped nail varnish. I have a hair appointment at 9am and have to leave on an hour and do not want to be rushing around. Not enough to actually move though :-P

Cacoethes 24-07-2020 09:24 AM

Morning people

I hope you've done all your tasks by now Lillie!

nonperson 24-07-2020 10:02 AM

Morning all.

I hate rushing around before an appointment.... Yet it always seems to happen. Enjoy your haircut, Lillie. =)

Cacoethes 24-07-2020 10:04 AM

Morning np

I never rush tbh
I always leave myself way too much time to do things because I am terrified of being late!

chinahorse 24-07-2020 10:11 AM

I always leave time but it seems to evaporate :-P

nonperson 24-07-2020 10:11 AM

I'd like to say I'm "never" late... but I'm rarely late and literally turn up with like a minute to spare... Mostly in the morning for work because getting up is hard. =/

But like for other appointments I usually end up being there early.

How're you today, Beckie?

nonperson 24-07-2020 10:12 AM

You're right Lillie, time does do that! Where does it go?!

Cacoethes 24-07-2020 10:17 AM

Yes time does go fast when you need to be somewhere!

I'm ok thanks.
Just waiting for carer
How are you guys?

nonperson 24-07-2020 10:26 AM

I'm a bit annoyed by stuff this morning and need to make a phone call as part of a favour for a friend. >.< Which is annoying me more because I want to help her but argh, didn't think it would involve a phone call. =P

Although I just heard something funny on tv that made me laugh. Apparently eating a mint while wearing a face mask directs all the stingy mintiness right up into your eyeballs. I feel like that will be one of those stupid things that people won't be able to resist trying, just for a laugh y'know, haha.

Anyway... so many words, sorry.

Up to anything much today, Beckie?

How's the hair appointment going/gone, Lillie?

chinahorse 24-07-2020 10:40 AM

I regularly chew mints at work and havent noticed that?

Hope the phone call goes ok np.

Going anywhere with the carers beckie?

I am marinating in bleach.

nonperson 24-07-2020 10:47 AM

Maybe it depends on the type of mint, or needs to be something more menthol-y.

Marinating in bleach sounds lovely. =/

Cacoethes 24-07-2020 10:48 AM

Ugh phone calls.
Hope it goes ok!

That is quite funny!
I'm not a regular mint chewer but I'll make sure to avoid it.

I need to go to asda as per usual.
And I must remember my mask!
I am also excited because I can go swimming again as the pool opens tomorrow!
And it's a booking system so it won't be crowded.

No I'm not going anywhere with the carers Lillie
It's only Thursdays that we go to asda

Fun times!
How long do you have to marinate in bleach for?

chinahorse 24-07-2020 10:53 AM

I want someone to try it now with like extra strong mints.

Yay for swimming again. You really enjoy that.

I'm nearly done marinating. Been here since 9am. Wash, maybe tone, cut and dry left.

nonperson 24-07-2020 10:54 AM

Yeah I just keep imagining people walking around with sore watery eyes. Kinda like when chopping an onion.

That's exciting about the swimming pool reopening!

Cacoethes 24-07-2020 11:08 AM

Well it won't be me trying it!
Though funnily enough I never get watery eyes when chopping onions.

I'm so excited for swimming again!

That's a long time Lillie!
It will be worth it though!

nonperson 24-07-2020 11:54 AM

Maybe your glasses give some protection?

Cacoethes 24-07-2020 12:05 PM

Possibly!

I've decided not to go to asda.
I really can't be bothered today.

nonperson 24-07-2020 12:07 PM

Will you go out for a walk or anything instead?

tamobhuuta 24-07-2020 12:13 PM

Hi everyone! I've had a busy morning, a support worker came to do my obs. I was very pleased not to have to go to the CMHT.

Cacoethes 24-07-2020 12:28 PM

Maybe. Just feeling really unmotivated today

nonperson 24-07-2020 12:29 PM

Maybe you just need a lazy day.

Hey Tamo. It's always handy when people come to you instead of having to go to them!

Cacoethes 24-07-2020 12:40 PM

Maybe. Looks like that will be happening!

nonperson 24-07-2020 01:00 PM

Nothing wrong with that. =)

I've just made an impromptu decision to clean the bathroom. Regretting it now that I've gone and sprayed everything and am leaving it to do its stuff before having to go back and scrub it off. Gah. >.<

Cacoethes 24-07-2020 01:02 PM

I'm sure you'll be pleased once it's done!

chinahorse 24-07-2020 01:05 PM

But think how shiny it will be np!!

Lazy days are good for everyone on occasion beckie.

Yay for them coming to you tamo.

nonperson 24-07-2020 01:06 PM

Oh I definitely will. I feel like I've started a job that is too big for my degree of motivation to manage!

I'll just keep chipping away at it through the day, I suppose.

Was gonna go out in the garden and do some tidying but gonna give that a miss... so I guess cleaning the shower is a good alternative.

nonperson 24-07-2020 01:07 PM

How's the hair looking, Lillie? =)

chinahorse 24-07-2020 01:09 PM

So prettiful. :-) I am very pleased.

nonperson 24-07-2020 01:13 PM

Yay, I'm very glad you're pleased. =D

chinahorse 24-07-2020 01:15 PM

And it was a lot cheaper than where I was originally booked who dicked me about. Will definitely use this place now. And it's in the local town and an independent business.

nonperson 24-07-2020 01:25 PM

Perfect. Sounds so much more convenient.

Cacoethes 24-07-2020 01:30 PM

Always good to support local businesses!

chinahorse 24-07-2020 05:19 PM

Afternoon. Too early to start the dinner conversation?

Cacoethes 24-07-2020 05:30 PM

Never too early for food conversation!
I'm having fish fingers and spaghetti hoops
How about you?

chinahorse 24-07-2020 05:32 PM

Spaghetti hoops are so much better than straight spaghetti!

I havent decided. Ive got falafel and carrots and baby tomatoes and hummus and pitta. Or I have some nice veggie things in the freezer. Or I have spinach and ricotta tortellini.

Cacoethes 24-07-2020 05:46 PM

Very true!

That's a lot of options!

nonperson 24-07-2020 06:19 PM

Mmm tortellini. I'd go with that personally.

I've got the last portion of my giant aubergine lasagne to have. And cheesecake for dessert. =)

chinahorse 24-07-2020 06:26 PM

Ihad the fresh stuff. Tortellini always lasts a long time.

Ooo that sounds amazing np. Also what flavour is the cheesecake?

Cacoethes 24-07-2020 06:26 PM

That sounds great np!

chinahorse 24-07-2020 06:56 PM

Cat eats fake hobnobs.

Also *smiles nicely at the all knowing np*. Monstera monkey leafs. On a scale of cactus easy to that plant you have that only allows bottled water how hard is it to keep alive? Friend wants to create an indoor hanging plant off curtain pole thing so I got her a pot and now need something to put in it. But she killed her string of hearts :/

nonperson 24-07-2020 09:01 PM

Chocolate and honeycomb flavour cheesecake!

Monstera are pretty easy. They like normal water! Never heard it called monkey leaf though, I call it Swiss cheese plant. =P

They do grow big though, usually grown up a coir pole because they'll root into that. Edit: although Google is telling me monkey leaf is smaller.

chinahorse 24-07-2020 09:06 PM

Oh my days where does you get that cheesecake it sounds amazing!!

Hehe swiss cheese plant :-P
As long as it fits in the pot when I present them to her how big it gets isnt my problem- thank goodness.

nonperson 24-07-2020 09:09 PM

Sainsbury's!

Haha I like that take on it. Mine got over 7 foot tall and was starting to take over the office staircase!

Also cat eating fake hobnobs? Odd!

chinahorse 24-07-2020 09:24 PM

Wow. That's a heck of a plant!

He eats quite a lot of human food. Normally given to him so he will stop pestering me when he discovers he does t want what I'm eating. Often backfires and I end up sharing my biscuits with a cat. (He gets like a tiny bit)

nonperson 24-07-2020 09:28 PM

I do the same actually. He always thinks he wants what I'm having... and sometimes that is true, but mostly not.

He likes crisps and yogurt and cheese and butter... and I think he ate some spicy chicken that I'd left on the side once. Nothing too unusual, unlike biscuits!

chinahorse 24-07-2020 09:37 PM

Bert's likes Parma violets so much he will try to swat them out my hand / mouth.

nonperson 24-07-2020 09:43 PM

Now that is weird! They taste strange enough for a human, let alone a flavour a cat would like.

chinahorse 24-07-2020 09:53 PM

What can I say,we are a good match of weirdos I took an amazing photo the other day of us both looking equally shattered and boss eyed

not_so_insig 24-07-2020 09:56 PM

I have a cat who likes granary bread and bran flakes.

nonperson 24-07-2020 10:23 PM

I like Parma violets. =P
