Cacoethes 15-05-2023 06:21 PM

Yet to be proven otherwise! :tongue2:

Ahimsa 15-05-2023 06:25 PM

We dont get paid more, I'm just covering for someone who is off, but its only 10 minutes from my house and its 3 hours extra!

Cacoethes 15-05-2023 06:30 PM

That sucks!
Other professions get paid more for those hours. Well, i don't XD
Be good to have the extra 3 hours pay, regardless!

Ahimsa 15-05-2023 06:35 PM

Also, please don't break the thread :(

not_so_insig 15-05-2023 06:37 PM

I havent got much to do this week Lindsay.

Cacoethes 15-05-2023 06:37 PM

I am the glue holding this thread together actually!

Sounds nice jen
I hope you enjoy your roast!

Well Tamo put the fire out so good work Tamo!
If you aren't careful though you may get a stern PM!

I am super looking forward to the roast but it's going to be like an hour before it's ready as we were chatting with partner parents for ages. I am already hungry...

long road 15-05-2023 06:39 PM

Hi Beth, Hi Lindsay, Hi Dawn!

Cacoethes 15-05-2023 06:55 PM

Nah, i won't get a stern pm for setting an imaginary thread bin on fire.
However, i may get some backlash from saying I'm not afraid if jenna. I am concerned she may see it as a challenge!

I always think food tastes better when you're hungry!
It'll be worth it!

It depends how far the sillyness gets :p I think you are safe as you made Jenna laugh.

It will be! Just hope I dont get hangry during the wait. You don't want to be near me when I am hangry!

Cacoethes 15-05-2023 07:14 PM

That's been my tactic all through life.
**** up, make the person laugh, all fine! :-D

Oooh no! Don't get hangry!
Or worse, you'll get SO hungry that you won't feel hungry anymore and just feel sick!

Laughter the solution to most, if not all, of life's problems!

Only five minutes to go. I think I will just about cope.

Cacoethes 15-05-2023 07:37 PM

I quite agree!

You can do it!!!

tamobhuuta 15-05-2023 07:53 PM

I've done my prayer group reading for the month today. I love concentration!

long road 15-05-2023 07:56 PM

Hooray!! Concentration is a fickle beast but when you can capture it is very useful.

I had my roast it was delicious. I am now rather full but I think comfortably full rather than overfull.

Cacoethes 15-05-2023 08:05 PM

Well done tamo!

Glad you enjoyed it!

tamobhuuta 15-05-2023 08:09 PM

Glad it was good and satisfying LR.

Such a beautiful quote. Tempted to put it in my signature!

I’d like you all to know that it’s bin day tomorrow and our recycling bin is still out from last week to confuse everyone. I know how this kind of content upsets you all :P

long road 15-05-2023 08:28 PM

My bins never get put away! The flats have a bin store but since us and next door fenced off our private gardens the only way to get bins to bin store is to drag up steps so nobody in the block of flats bothers dragging the communal bins they just forever live at the end of the garages

Cacoethes 15-05-2023 08:38 PM

Oh please put it in your signature! XD

But...don't you have to bring the bins in to put more recycling in??
I could probably get away with not bringing the bins in, as I'm right next to the road, but it would be untidy and I'm not about that life

long road 15-05-2023 09:04 PM

My desire for tidyness is outweighed by the awkwardness of moving the bins. In principle I agree with you.

Cacoethes 15-05-2023 09:10 PM

That's fair.
I'd probably learn to deal with it if putting my bins out were as much of a task as yours!
I am NOT dragging bins up stairs!

long road 15-05-2023 09:14 PM

It does mean one of the other blocks of flats has stolen a set of our bins. But apart from at Christmas when there is never space in the recycling we manage alright with the bins we have.

Pi.R^2 15-05-2023 09:16 PM

I regret the untidiness of my bin situation but somehow that little task always feels a bit much along along with everything else *shrug*

Cacoethes 15-05-2023 09:18 PM

I hate bin stealers! My neighbour steals bins, but only for the greater good. Like a load of garden waste wheelie bins were randomly delivered. Not to specific houses, as far as i could tell. She claimed it and it now lives with my bins with my house no. On it. She randomly takes it when she's going around cutting the grass of the few neighbours she hasn't fallen out with....
She also redistributes rubbish when my bin gets full, which is does fast because of cleaning out the piggos!

Oh jenna *shakes head in disappointment*

long road 15-05-2023 09:22 PM

I hate bin stealers too! It's almost as bad as people who set imaginary thread bins on fire... XD

Bin stealing for good is acceptable though.

They should make remote control bins to make it easier and more fun to put them away

Cacoethes 15-05-2023 09:27 PM

Setting the imaginary thread bin on fire is certainly not as bad!
There are other imaginary thread bins you can use if needed for your imaginary rubbish!

That would be awesome tbh

Ahimsa 15-05-2023 09:32 PM

I got some of the kitchen cupboards done and then had a nap!

However, I’m only doing 9-12 tonight so I’m 1/6 of the way through already and no one’s phoned. It’s emergencies only at this time of night.

Cacoethes 15-05-2023 09:34 PM

Well done!

Fingers crossed no emergencies!
To be easier on you plus it's never good when pets have emergencies!

I hadn't thought about that. I had only imagined one imaginary bin. Which was quite close minded of me really.

Glad your extra shift is going alright so far Beth. Do you have things to occupy you while you wait for calls?

Cacoethes 15-05-2023 09:55 PM

It's a big thread, we definitely need more than one imaginary bin!
And of course they are separated into imaginary recycling as well as general waste.
So there are many imaginary bins!

Ahimsa 15-05-2023 09:59 PM

And also imaginary lights and imaginary darks, like washing?

Yah me and one of the vets are just chatting as all the inpatients are sorted!

Pi.R^2 15-05-2023 10:02 PM

Love the imaginary bins discussion, so wonderfully bizarre!

Cacoethes 15-05-2023 10:03 PM

I think most modern washing machines somehow prevent the colours running so much now!
I never separate washing. Apart from my dobok, because it's white, and if the colours run, it looks awful and is expensive to replace!
So i definitely wouldn't separate my imaginary laundry!

Awesome! Sounds like a good shift so far!

I am going to attempt sleep *crosses fingers*
Night everyone!

Definitely not the most bizarre convo I've had on here XD

Pi.R^2 15-05-2023 10:04 PM

Ain't nobody got time for sorting laundry into whites, colours etc!

Night Beckie, hope you get some decent sleep.

long road 15-05-2023 10:05 PM

Do we have to separate the imaginary recycling or are they those all in one imaginary recycling bins?

Glad you have the vet to chat too Beth :)

long road 15-05-2023 10:14 PM

I sort mine only if there is new clothing or a lot of clothing that is the same colour anyway. Like If when I go to do washing I have a lot of whites in the basket I might do a white load but if I have like one white t-shirt I'll chuck it in with everything else.

Night Beckie

Ahimsa 15-05-2023 10:19 PM

Yes but that’s REAL LIFE (is this just fantasy?!)

We don’t know if imaginary things needs colour sorting!

long road 15-05-2023 10:20 PM

I mean if they do I imagine that they do it themselves to save me the bother!

Ahimsa 16-05-2023 01:01 AM

A very easy shift, 1 phone call and they arrived just as I left!

Annoyingly, the person on the late shift (12-9) didnt do a bunch of important stuff, and also didn't hand over that it hadn't been done, so I spotted it all at 11:30!!

I should go to sleep as I'm at work at 7:30 but I'm not sleepy! I'm tired, but not falling asleep - I am in bed though.

Cacoethes 16-05-2023 01:48 AM

I'm afraid we still need to colour sort our imaginary washing

Hopefully you're asleep by now beth!

Ugh that sounds like effort!

I am not yet asleep, no.

Cacoethes 16-05-2023 06:19 AM

Hope you got some sleep!
I got 4 hours...

Morning everyone!

Ahimsa 16-05-2023 07:17 AM

Morning Beckie,

Why are you up so early?

Cacoethes 16-05-2023 07:29 AM

Morning!

That's just what my body does now. I haven't slept past 7am since i got home from hospital!
And 7am was the very latest I've slept. And it was once. All the other days, its been 5 or 6am

How are you doing?

long road 16-05-2023 08:10 AM

Morning.

I have had 3 hours sleep but can't seem to drift back off and have to be up in less than 2 hours anyway. I am not a particularly happy bunny.

Today could be fun..

Cacoethes 16-05-2023 08:17 AM

Morning jen
Sorry you had such awful sleep
Hope you don't have anything too taxing on today

I'm about to go to the gym on 4 hours of very broken sleep
Luckily i have a PT, i probably would have injured myself without supervision XD

long road 16-05-2023 08:29 AM

Alas today is a bit of a busy day, I have OT appointment at 11. And my physio is probably going to call again at some point as I missed her call yesterday afternoon and she said she try again today.

Oh and if I am up to it there is a chance I can get my hair cut this evening but I doubt I will be now.

Be super careful at gymn and tell PT you are tired. Are you sure it's the best idea to go?

Cacoethes 16-05-2023 08:37 AM

I hope your appointments go ok!

I will tell him.
I'm fine. I went the day after my dad's funeral where i got home at past 10pm, had a fair few gins and had to get up at 6am for the gym because i had work at 10:30.
If i can get through that, i can get through this!
It's too late to cancel now. I'll still be charged for the session if i don't go.

tamobhuuta 16-05-2023 09:58 AM

Take care of yourselves, all you sleep deprived. I'm seeing my spiritual director this afternoon which should be helpful.
