I am frustrated for you. =|

Cacoethes 30-05-2021 04:17 PM

I can't wait to be rid of them!
I'm going to tell my cpn on Tuesday that if they aren't gone by Friday then I'll just stop letting them in!

nonperson 30-05-2021 04:19 PM

But won't that mean you'll be without meds?

Cacoethes 30-05-2021 04:28 PM

Yep! Which I really don't want to do but that's probably what I'll have to do to get them to back off!

nonperson 30-05-2021 04:32 PM

Not so sure that's a sensible idea...!

Cacoethes 30-05-2021 04:35 PM

Probably not!
I'm hoping the threat will be enough to take me seriously!

nonperson 30-05-2021 04:42 PM

Let's hope so!

Cacoethes 30-05-2021 04:49 PM

Well, we shall see!

I'm so annoyed about not being able to go for walk today because of waiting in for carers that haven't bothered to turn up

one_step_closer 30-05-2021 05:25 PM

Why are the carers so rubbish, is it part of their role?! I feel for you Beckie.

The washer drier is coming between 7am and 11am.

Cacoethes 30-05-2021 05:30 PM

It seems so! Thanks
I'll be doing my best to get rid of them ASAP!!!

Ugh that's early to be awake!
I'm sure it will all go smoothly

If I'm honest I'm not sure that threatening them with not letting carers in is the best idea... better off explaining that they are rubbish and that you'd prefer not to have them and coming to an agreement if reduced visits or a trial break or something

Just with you not having being home long yet it may be best to "play the game" as it were and do a bit of the compromise thing until they feel they can trust you

Why do they always give such big windows :ermm: it's like they thing we can just plan our existence round deliveries

Cacoethes 30-05-2021 09:01 PM

I have already tried to reason with them.
I've explained why I don't like the carers and everyone (including professionals) can see my point.
But they aren't really listening!
They nod their heads and say 'that's not right' but refuse to actually DO anything!
So I'll have to take it into my own hands!

shadow-light 30-05-2021 10:38 PM

Ah, hate it when they do the whole agreeing but not acting thing... in that case I have no suggestions... just concerned that they may have a knee jerk response to such a threat

one_step_closer 31-05-2021 08:47 AM

Morning everyone, how are you all?

The delivery people phoned after I hadn't been up that long but I had time to get ready just no breakfast. I tried the machine out but once my clothes were dried they just came out hot and damp. Do I just leave them for a while to dry themselves? I'm hoping this wasn't a stupid decision to get the washer dryer.

Cacoethes 31-05-2021 10:16 AM

Morning lindsay!

I have a washer dryer and mine does that
I just leave the washing machine door open and let them dry themselves. It doesn't take long
I'm sure there's a way of fiddling with the settings to make it completely dry!

tamobhuuta 31-05-2021 12:23 PM

I do it again, on a longer setting.

Cacoethes 31-05-2021 12:30 PM

Afternoon tamo!
How are you?

one_step_closer 31-05-2021 12:32 PM

It's a really basic washer drier and doesn't have a general 'dry' button, it needs to be drying synthetics or cotton. I just put it on for a combined wash and dry which seemed like the only option I could use.

What's everyone getting up to?

Cacoethes 31-05-2021 12:38 PM

I've just done a tesco shop to be delivered tomorrow!
Between 10-11pm. That was the only slot left!
I'm also binge watching the handmaid's tale.

How about you?

nonperson 31-05-2021 12:41 PM

You can't put on to dry without washing it?

I've been for a walk/dawdle, had lunch, done some/am still doing laundry and now need to carry on with gardening... =|

Although I'm a bit too full of leftover pizza so shall wait a bit. =)

Cacoethes 31-05-2021 12:47 PM

Hey np!
Sounds like you've been productive today! Well done!

Ah yes. Don't want to be gardening on a full stomach!

tamobhuuta 31-05-2021 01:26 PM

I'm ok. Planning to watch the Crimes of Grindelwald.

Cacoethes 31-05-2021 01:29 PM

Good plan tamo!

nonperson 31-05-2021 03:19 PM

Ooh good choice. I wonder when the next film is out...?

Given up on gardening for now... too hot. And I need to start the bit at the front by the fence that I share with my neighbour... No hiding x.x

Cacoethes 31-05-2021 03:22 PM

It is rather warm out today!
I went for a walk and everywhere is packed because of the nice weather!

Oh dear! I try to hide from my nosy neighbour but whenever it's nice out she is always out the front smoking. I don't even like taking the bins out because she'll talk to me!

nonperson 31-05-2021 03:25 PM

Ugh, that is awkward.

My neighbours are nice people but they use their front garden more than the back (it's all joined together so not as weird as it sounds) but it means as soon as I come out of my front door I can see them sitting under their gazebo... and then the dogs run over and bark at me =/

Cacoethes 31-05-2021 03:38 PM

Yeah. She is lovely and does a lot for me but god is she nosy!

Oh that sounds awkward too!

one_step_closer 31-05-2021 05:27 PM

I'm joining the I have a nosey neighbour team too.

Cacoethes 31-05-2021 05:47 PM

Hi lindsay!
It's annoying isn't it!

not_so_insig 31-05-2021 06:21 PM

I dont have any nosey neighbours.

Cacoethes 31-05-2021 07:16 PM

Lucky you!

nonperson 31-05-2021 08:37 PM

Right, officially knackered now. Brief chat with neighbour and only got barked at a few times...

*collapse*

Cacoethes 31-05-2021 08:49 PM

Social interaction can be so exhausting!

Did you get the stuff done?

nonperson 31-05-2021 09:15 PM

It wasn't so much the social interaction, more the last three days of weeding catching up with me =P

But yes, got the stuff done. Still more to do but I've made good progress and feel like I'm a bit more in control again.

Cacoethes 31-05-2021 09:16 PM

Haha! Fair enough!

That's good! Well done!

Cacoethes 01-06-2021 10:43 AM

Good morning everyone!

not_so_insig 01-06-2021 12:17 PM

Afternoon all

Cacoethes 01-06-2021 12:19 PM

Hey Dawn!

How are you?

not_so_insig 01-06-2021 12:39 PM

I am ok thanks. I have my cpn coming later but silly me forgot to write the time. So I can't go outside until she comes.

Cacoethes 01-06-2021 12:44 PM

That's annoying!

not_so_insig 01-06-2021 01:21 PM

Yep. I am sitting outside atm because she doesn't come before 2 pm.

not_so_insig 01-06-2021 01:32 PM

Beckie did you know that a new series of 999 what's your emergency starts next week? 9 pm channel 4.

Cacoethes 01-06-2021 01:38 PM

No I did not know that!
Thanks for telling me :)

not_so_insig 01-06-2021 02:04 PM

I know that you like that programme so no problem glad to be of service.

Cacoethes 01-06-2021 02:05 PM

I do indeed!

Carers have just been so it's walk time!
See you later!

not_so_insig 01-06-2021 02:06 PM

Ttfn!

Cacoethes 01-06-2021 02:19 PM

Cpn just called and she's coming over.
My walk plans are foiled again!

not_so_insig 01-06-2021 03:50 PM

How annoying! Hopefully you will get a walk in today Beckie.

My cpn came. She turned up at 2.15 pm. Apparently she was early. Good job I was in at that point and not sitting outside. I should write my appointment time in my diary so that I don't have that problem again.

Cacoethes 01-06-2021 03:54 PM

I went out for a short walk.
I got too hot!
