I'm reading "Poppy Shakespeare" by Clare Allan - It's very dark comedy fiction based on her experiences in a mental health day centre. I guess some people might find it offensive, but me.... I haven't had such a good laugh at myself (and my experiences in day centres) in such a long time. Very risky use of language, which I love - It's described as "One flew over the cuckoo's nest meets catch 22" - but I find it superior to both. It's very satirical and raises lots of questions about "mental illness"
I also loved the televised version of this book, which was shown as a drama on channel 4 - the book however is far superior. Maria |

Just finished Wuthering Heights by by Emily Bronte. It's a beautiful story in a sad way. Struck me as odd that Cathrine manages to have a baby with no mention of her ever being pregnant, the child just appears out of nowhere.

Well actually rereading. :) |
The Loch by Steve Altan. It's soooo good. I completely recommend it.

Amazing as always. |
I am in the process of reading "The Shack" WM. Paul Young, it's really well written, I am almost finished with it. If you are a Christian it will definitely stir things up.
