hi eggplant NP and oriental equine

nonperson 14-12-2018 07:47 PM

Hello Aubergine and Zombie!

I like that I don't get a silly nickname. =P

Cacoethes 14-12-2018 07:55 PM

I went to see wreck it Ralph 2!

Hello everyone!

chinahorse 14-12-2018 07:58 PM

I have no idea what that's about beckie.

Hello everybody :)

Aubergine 14-12-2018 07:58 PM

Hello Beckie and Zombie and Person! :)

How are you all?

I am coooooold. In bed. With electric blanket on!

Aubergine 14-12-2018 07:59 PM

Hello ninja Lillie. How are you?

nonperson 14-12-2018 08:00 PM

I think I'll have to wait a long time to see Wreck It Ralph 2.

My legs are cold..! And my back is incredibly painful tonight and I want dinner but it hurts to move. =(

Someone bring me food?

Cacoethes 14-12-2018 08:01 PM

Its a kids film Lillie!

I am also cold!!

nonperson 14-12-2018 08:02 PM

I don't think it's a kids film!

Cacoethes 14-12-2018 08:07 PM

Its a PG!

chinahorse 14-12-2018 08:08 PM

Hot water bottle np! I'd bring you food if I could! But I only have a yoghurt and bread and an apple in. Cos the tortellini is my dinner. Nom.

I'm ok thanks. Very very fatigued but waiting for asda delivery. I bought bertie a pink feather wand toy and he loves it. :) sorry I will eventually stop talking about him so much.

How is everyone's evening going?

nonperson 14-12-2018 08:10 PM

I don't have a hot water bottle. =(

I really want tortellini...

And noo, don't stop talking about Bertie. =D

chinahorse 14-12-2018 08:13 PM

Oh no! You need to get one. They are amazing g for achey joints and cold feet.

I may share if you ask nicely...

Did I say that Bertie snores? He's taken to sleeping on my chest just under my chin *melts with love*

nonperson 14-12-2018 08:14 PM

Cat snores are great. And that sounds super comfy. No need for a scarf any more. =)

Cacoethes 14-12-2018 08:15 PM

Dont stop talking about bertie!
You can never have too much cat news!

chinahorse 14-12-2018 08:16 PM

Haha so true np!

not_so_insig 14-12-2018 08:17 PM

I take it I can talk about my kitties?

chinahorse 14-12-2018 08:24 PM

Of course!

nonperson 14-12-2018 08:24 PM

Of course. =)

Mine's in his toasty warm bathroom cupboard again.

Cacoethes 14-12-2018 08:30 PM

Cat news always welcome!!

I wish I had one!

not_so_insig 14-12-2018 08:36 PM

I caught my oldest cat washing my male. Never saw her washing him before. Usually it's my youngest washing my male.

nonperson 14-12-2018 08:41 PM

Maybe he was extra dirty today.

It's cute when they wash each other though. =)

Aubergine 14-12-2018 08:46 PM

You can definitely never have too much cat talk! :)

That's really cute, Dawn. :) <3

Alec the cat is asleep next to me. :) He loves my electric blanket!

not_so_insig 14-12-2018 08:49 PM

My mum caught her doing it a few weeks ago but I didn't see it.

I always say to my youngest "has he got a mucky face" when I catch her washing him

Aubergine 14-12-2018 08:52 PM

Aww. :)

I love talking to Alec the Cat. I always greet him with "Hello my boy" when I get home from being out. They're such great company when you live alone, aren't they?

nonperson 14-12-2018 09:00 PM

Yes they are. And mine is super chatty (and sometimes shouty!) so we have plenty of conversation.

I also have a getting home greeting too - usually "Heyyy babyy! You ok?" and then he replies. =D

Aubergine 14-12-2018 09:05 PM

I think geordie's breed is known for being chatty? Alec is pretty quiet, but purrs SO LOUDLY. It's lovely that you have conversations! Cool that you have a getting home greeting too. :D I don't think people who don't have pets quite understand, do they?!

not_so_insig 14-12-2018 09:06 PM

Does anyone else say goodbye to their kitties when they leave their house or is it me?

Aubergine 14-12-2018 09:08 PM

It's not just you! I usually say "see you later, chicken." :P

nonperson 14-12-2018 09:09 PM

Yeah, Siameses (is that a word?) are known for being talkative!

Ha, no they definitely don't understand. I often wonder what people would think if they heard me talking to him. I'm sure my neighbours must have heard me chatting to him in the garden. >.>

nonperson 14-12-2018 09:10 PM

I also say goodbye! Mine's always a See You Later too and if he's not in the room I'll shout it up the stairs to him!

Cacoethes 14-12-2018 09:12 PM

I used to talk to all my animals when I lived at home!

Aubergine 14-12-2018 09:15 PM

Hehe Person. I wouldn't worry! My neighbour has heard me talking to Alec. On more than one occasion, I've had to chase Alec around my neighbour's flat when he's opened the door at the same time as I open mine and Alec goes in for a sniff and an explore! Hehehe.

I hope you can have an animal one day, Beckie. <3

nonperson 14-12-2018 09:15 PM

They're people and family and friends, I don't see why people wouldn't talk to them!

I also talk to worms and caterpillars and snails, birds... and various other animal creatures I find at work...… :whistling:

Aubergine 14-12-2018 09:18 PM

they are! Me neither. :) I'm glad that this thread is full of animal lovers! :)

I don't see any animals at work, thankfully! Actually sometimes a pat dog comes in, and I say hello to him, but there are not many worms etc in the hospital. :P

Cacoethes 14-12-2018 09:19 PM

Thanks Aubergine :)

In my old house, next doors cat Agatha used to bolt into my house and then panic because his house was a mirror image of mine (cluster houses) and it freaked him out!

Aubergine 14-12-2018 09:27 PM

Aww! Poor Agatha! Bet it was kind of amusing though. :) Are there many cats in the street you live in? Alec tents to gravitate to underneath my neigbour's bed, which is awkward haha.

Talking of neighbours, my neighbour has made our communal corridor really, really pretty. He's put battery operated candles on the shelf, lights around the window, a pink curtain up and a Mr Santa above his door and a Mrs Santa above my door. :)

Cacoethes 14-12-2018 09:33 PM

Haha!
Sometimes Agatha would find himself in my canvas wardrobe next to a radiator in my bedroom.

Aww that sounds cool!

Aubergine 14-12-2018 09:40 PM

They do love a spot by a radiator! :)

I was still awake at 4am this morning. Hoping for decent sleep tonight!

nonperson 14-12-2018 09:43 PM

Your corridor sounds... I want to say horrifically christmassy... but actually it sounds kinda cool. =P

Aubergine 14-12-2018 09:46 PM

Hehe! :P It is kinda cool. I got home and thought he'd put real candles on the shelf above the door (where there's a frosted window) and was a bit worried, but they're those LED ones that flicker. So nice! Going to write him a Christmas car and get him a small gift as a thank you for making it tastefully festive!

Cacoethes 14-12-2018 09:48 PM

I hope you manage to get a good sleep tonight Aubergine!

Aubergine 14-12-2018 09:52 PM

Thank you, Beckie! :)

I'm so toasty warm under my duvet with my electric blanket on. I think I may just stay here until summer.

Cacoethes 14-12-2018 09:56 PM

Good plan!
I would also like to stay in bed until summer!

not_so_insig 14-12-2018 09:57 PM

I have written cards to all my neighbours. I have to deliver all the upstairs neighbours though because I CBA climbing the stairs.

Aubergine 14-12-2018 10:00 PM

Are there many stairs, Dawn? Good of you to write everyone cards. :)

I really, really need to tidy my flat tomorrow. Someone come and help me?

not_so_insig 14-12-2018 10:01 PM

There are lots of stairs.

nonperson 14-12-2018 10:02 PM

What's on tv tonight, folks?

Aubergine 14-12-2018 10:03 PM

I don't like stars either!

Eep. Someone tell me this hospice interview will be OK. I reeeeaaaaaly would like it to work out!

Aubergine 14-12-2018 10:03 PM

No idea, Person!
