not_so_insig 23-03-2023 10:56 AM

It's annoying though because I am sitting here bored.

Cacoethes 23-03-2023 10:57 AM

Yeah. I wish i could sleep later also but i always wake up 7-8am. It is annoying.

tamobhuuta 23-03-2023 11:00 AM

Cool post insig!

I hope you get your clean underwear soon Cacoethes.

I'm off to do the dishwasher.

Cacoethes 23-03-2023 11:21 AM

Thanks!
It's now saying between 2:45 and 5:45 which isn't too bad. I hope it comes sooner rather than later!
The big delivery place is in this town.

one_step_closer 23-03-2023 11:22 AM

Hey everyone.

Ahisma, is there something you prefer to be called?

Truffle shuffle is good but expensive. Enjoy your purchases, Dawn.

Well done, Tamo. You're doing so great. :-)

How are you, Kat?

Hopefully your Amazon order will arrive soon, Beckie. They usually start by saying it's coming by 10pm but then it changes to a closer time. I couldn't find any nice underwear on Amazon when I was in hospital and had to get sort of granny pants! Then the (female) nurses wanted to see them and I was embarrassed!

I got up at a good time for me. Done all the things you're meant to do every 3 months. Also washed my hair.

tamobhuuta 23-03-2023 11:23 AM

Fingers crossed for you!

It's tipping it down here.

one_step_closer 23-03-2023 11:23 AM

Ninja Beckie, I hope your order comes closer to 2.45.

tamobhuuta 23-03-2023 11:24 AM

Ninja post osc. Well done for washing your hair too :)

Also, I always wear granny pants, after all, I'm the only one who sees!

one_step_closer 23-03-2023 11:24 AM

It was like that here on Tuesday, Tamo. Is it meant to rain all day? It's raining a bit here today.

one_step_closer 23-03-2023 11:24 AM

Another ninja post!

Thank you, Tamo.

not_so_insig 23-03-2023 11:30 AM

It's raining here too. Only light but enough to stop me sitting outside. I am wearing one of my new tshirts. My recycling has been collected.

one_step_closer 23-03-2023 11:34 AM

What t-shirt is it? My bin hasn't been emptied yet. They used to get emptied quite early but then it changed to later.

not_so_insig 23-03-2023 11:37 AM

It's this tshirt Lindsay

https://www.truffleshuffle.co.uk/pro...ie-dye-t-shirt

not_so_insig 23-03-2023 11:39 AM

I also had this tshirt in the post

https://www.truffleshuffle.co.uk/pro...arcoal-t-shirt

one_step_closer 23-03-2023 11:40 AM

That's cute. I check what they have in new each day but don't buy much unless I really, really want it and it's not too expensive.

The grumpy bear one is funny!

Cacoethes 23-03-2023 11:45 AM

They were just emergency underwear so it doesn't matter too much. I'll be getting more stuff either tomorrow evening or Saturday anyway.
It'll probably be male staff checking the package as there are more of them but I'm not really bothered.

one_step_closer 23-03-2023 11:49 AM

I hope you can wash soon and the clean feeling gives you a little boost.

Cacoethes 23-03-2023 11:51 AM

I'm sure it will. Been in the same clothes since monday. Bleugh.
Could ask for hospital pjs but i don't like them.

one_step_closer 23-03-2023 12:48 PM

Hospital PJs are not nice. Do you have a full outfit to change into when you get your underwear? Will you have PJs or are you waiting for them to be brought to you from your house?

Cacoethes 23-03-2023 01:00 PM

I have jeans and a t shirt.
I don't have pjs because i didn't have enough money.
But my friend is bringing some

one_step_closer 23-03-2023 01:46 PM

I'm lucky now that my admissions are usually planned so I get to pack and sort out someone to look after Crookshanks before I'm admitted.

I'm glad there are people who can get your clothes etc from home.

long road 23-03-2023 02:46 PM

*waves groggily* hey everyone,

I only just woke up properly. Did a lot yesterday and needed to sleep to reset but didn't get to sleep until after 3am.

not_so_insig 23-03-2023 02:56 PM

Grumpy Bear is my favourite Care Bear so I had to have it. Although Cheer Bear (my avatar) comes in a close second. I have a Cheer Bear in my happy box.

Cacoethes 23-03-2023 03:14 PM

My parcel is now not coming until 4:15-6:15 :plain:

tamobhuuta 23-03-2023 03:33 PM

My bear was in my safety plan in hospital.

Cacoethes 23-03-2023 04:30 PM

I wouldn't bring my bunny here.
I've had him since I was born and don't want him to get stolen or damaged.

one_step_closer 23-03-2023 04:39 PM

Hi Jen, nights like that are horrible. I hope you sleep better tonight. What are you going to do with your awake time?

I don't know much about Care Bears but do have one on a t-shirt that says 'care' or something. I like t-shirts like ones that promote kindness etc.

My childhood bear is surviving but only just. The stuffing is showing through tears in his t-shirt.

Have you got your parcel yet, Beckie? It's annoying when they keep changing the time unless it's earlier and it suits you.

long road 23-03-2023 04:41 PM

Everything hurts and I am feeling quite down about it. I am tucked up in the sofa with one of my bears. Ducky isn't with me because I am watching a cooking show and he doesn't like it when the chefs cook his friends!

one_step_closer 23-03-2023 04:53 PM

I can't even imagine what that must be like, I'm sorry you're in so much pain. I can only compare it to when my eczema was really bad and all over my body itchy, sore, and bleeding from scratching and it made me suicidal. I hope the cooking show can take your mind off things at least a bit. I can see why Ducky would be upset!

Cacoethes 23-03-2023 05:02 PM

The parcel was delivered but is probably on the other watd again.
I tried to tell staff but she took a while to understand what i was saying. Eventually got it. Then disappeared omto the office, came out and left the ward without saying anything. Idk if she's gone to get it or not.

Sorry you're feeling bad jen. Sounds awful

one_step_closer 23-03-2023 05:03 PM

Fingers crossed she is away to get it for you.

Cacoethes 23-03-2023 05:15 PM

She wasn't.
And it's not on that ward. Someone else called. Ffs

long road 23-03-2023 05:21 PM

I am fed up turns out painkiller prescription was never sent to pharmacy. On tueaday we were told it wasn't ready and I wasn't bothered as I wasn't in pain but when partner checked back today they told him that they hadn't received a prescription. Chased GP surgery and turns out GP put in my notes he was going to prescribe the new dose but didnt press the button to send it and he isn't in until tomorrow.

So tonight could be rough as over-the-counter isn't
quite cutting it .

Cacoethes 23-03-2023 06:26 PM

How awful.
Can they put it through as an emergency?
Or 111 can sort prescriptions sometimes i think

one_step_closer 23-03-2023 06:30 PM

Oh no, Jen. That's not a good mistake to have made. Maybe some of Beckie's options would be do able. I have no other advice, sorry. I just hope things aren't going to be too terrible for you and you get the meds you need quickly.

Did you get your parcel, Beckie? How are you doing this evening?

Cacoethes 23-03-2023 06:44 PM

I did!
It was in the office *facepalm*
I'm ok. Feel better after a shower and changing clothes.
Though my head is back to feeling like it's in a washing machine.

long road 23-03-2023 07:16 PM

Could be tricky getting it as an emergency as pharmacy have no record of me being prescribed it, same for 111. I think it could be even trickier as it is a controlled drug.

I am still in pain but with heat and over the counter it is just about bearable. Just going to try and ride it out and rest as much as possible

Hooray that you could shower and change into fresh clothes Beckie. I totally understood you not wanted to shower until you had fresh underwear I too would find it wrong.

Cacoethes 23-03-2023 07:21 PM

Ah yeah. Good point.

I hope you manage to get through it.
I meant an emergency with the gp. If i forget to put my prescription request they'll fast track it through gp and pharmacy and you'll get it same day.

Yeah I'd still feel gross.
A male staff member opened the package with me. He was so embarrassed bless him XD

Zurg 23-03-2023 08:38 PM

Evening all :)

Jen, just mentioning this in case you find it useful, a combo of paracetamol and ibuprofene often works better/more effectively than just using one of them.

Hooray for shower and clean clothes, Beckie :D
Being stuck in silly hospitals makes you appreciate the small things more. Mostly because they are the only things to appreciate….. The rest is just pah!!!

Hi Lindsay, did your day improve?? I hope so!!!

I had a difficult day. Took prn late this afternoon but it took a couple of hours before the full sedation hit. I feel like i can't stand being in my body atm and if i could, i would crawl out of it. Sensory overload is a Daily thing right now.

Cacoethes 23-03-2023 08:43 PM

Yeah definitely!

Sorry you've had a bad day.
Hopefully tomorrow will be better

Ahimsa 23-03-2023 08:52 PM

I'm home from work! A LONG day

Cacoethes 23-03-2023 08:58 PM

Yay for being home!
Got any plans for this evening?

Ahimsa 23-03-2023 08:59 PM

BED!

Always bed :) I'm just making dinner and I've put my pyjamas on the radiator.

How're you getting on Beckie? Yay for fresh pants!! I'm just catching up on everything.

Cacoethes 23-03-2023 09:08 PM

Bed is a good plan!

I'm ok. Just tired

Ahimsa 23-03-2023 09:32 PM

Okay is something though!!

I've just sorted the cats out and I'm tucked up cosy with a hot water bottle waiting for them to join me after their dinners.

Cacoethes 23-03-2023 09:39 PM

Sounds lovely and cosy!

Ahimsa 23-03-2023 09:44 PM

It is! I have one of them who's joined me, I know one will be in the tent, just waiting on the others!

I am managing just about. Heat packs are helping as its pain from muscle spasms. It's first time I have been on this dose so just have to wait for GP in morning. Where if I am lucky the pain will be gone anyway!

I am very much using both but in safe doses as recommended by box and GP..

Hope your tomorrow is better Zurg. The not wanting to be in your body sensation is horrible, I get it occassionally.

Bed is always a good plan. Although I am currently on sofa with a blanket

Blanket forts are even better but I CBA with the effort today!
