How are you Lindsay?

Hope you enjoy your shower when you have it Tamo.

Insurance is both complicated and expensive!

Do you have a TV show you missed while satellite wa out that you could catch up on Dawn?

not_so_insig 31-01-2024 02:36 PM

No I managed to watch everything Jen. I am so indecisive lately that I don't know if I should watch classic Doctor Who or start reading the book I got for Christmas.

long road 31-01-2024 02:39 PM

Which doctor if you go for classic doctor who?

not_so_insig 31-01-2024 02:41 PM

Either Peter Davison or Sylvester McCoy because they're my favourite doctors. I have seen Sylvester McCoy's costume irl.

long road 31-01-2024 02:48 PM

I watched some Sylvester MC Coy for the first time the other day and I was pleasantly surprised. For some reason I had a negative impression of his doctor but I found him really fun. Was a really good run of episodes called the Remembrance of the Daleks

not_so_insig 31-01-2024 02:51 PM

Yes that's a good serial. A lot of Keeping Up Appearances actors were in Doctor Who.

one_step_closer 31-01-2024 04:32 PM

Not Doctor Who chat again! I really should start watching it.

not_so_insig 31-01-2024 04:39 PM

Definitely watch it Lindsay.

not_so_insig 31-01-2024 04:42 PM

My plans to put the recycling boxes out have been thrashed for now. It's extremely windy and I would lose my paper bag if I put it out now. I am hoping that the dish will be ok as I will go mad if i have to endure another week without telly!

one_step_closer 31-01-2024 04:49 PM

I'm also not putting my bins out yet, very windy and wet here. I hope your TV remains ok.

Cacoethes 31-01-2024 04:53 PM

Heya again!
Sorry i disappeared. Mr and L went to purchase blue shrimp and then I needed to nap

tamobhuuta 31-01-2024 05:06 PM

You are excused Cacoethes.

I hope you don't lose your telly insig. The weather isn't too bad here.

Cacoethes 31-01-2024 05:14 PM

Thank you!

How are you doing tamo?

long road 31-01-2024 05:18 PM

Blue shrimp???I am confused.

Just going for nap noone get into mischief while I am asleep!

Cacoethes 31-01-2024 05:24 PM

Shrimp that are blue :tongue2:

not_so_insig 31-01-2024 06:18 PM

The wind has died down a bit and the dish is intact. I have risked it and put the recycling out. I am hoping that because i have a lot of cardboard in my paper bag that it will weigh it down and therefore not get blown away. However it's raining heavily atm and cold.

one_step_closer 31-01-2024 06:41 PM

Why are they blue shrimp? Are they for eating or pet feeding or what?

Jen, we are always well behaved.

Well done, Dawn. It's dark now so I'll just sort my bins in the morning.

tamobhuuta 31-01-2024 06:46 PM

I'm ok thanks. Had to cancel my appointment with my CPN tomorrow because Mum reckons I won't get back from the funeral in time.

Cacoethes 31-01-2024 06:55 PM

They are for the fish tank. She already has red ones and wanted blue ones too. They are a lovely colour!

That's a shame tamo

not_so_insig 31-01-2024 07:03 PM

Thanks Lindsay. I had a tricky moment as I accidentally dropped my keys in the wheelie bin before but fortunately I was able to fish them out. I wouldn't have been able to get back into my block of flats if I had lost them.

tamobhuuta 31-01-2024 07:27 PM

That's a relief insig!

Edit
Got a lovely predinner cup of tea.

long road 31-01-2024 07:32 PM

You are well-behaved Lindsay. Beckie once set the imaginary bin on fire XD

I got a bit of sleep maybe an hour but have woken up with a headache that may be a migraine as I am light sensitive and it really hurts.

tamobhuuta 31-01-2024 07:34 PM

Sorry to hear that lr. What helps migraines?

long road 31-01-2024 07:40 PM

Dark. Rest. Painkillers. Cool packs. Should probably stop looking at my phone so will speak later.

tamobhuuta 31-01-2024 07:41 PM

OK look after yourself.

Cacoethes 31-01-2024 08:43 PM

Lol! I do remember setting the imaginary bin on fire!
I can't remember if it was the imaginary recycling or imaginary general waste though

Cacoethes 01-02-2024 05:55 AM

Morning everyone

long road 01-02-2024 09:29 AM

Morning!

I can't remember if you specified which imaginary bin you were setting on fire.

I had some very weird dreams last night.

tamobhuuta 01-02-2024 09:38 AM

Morning guys. I'm on my way to a funeral.

long road 01-02-2024 09:42 AM

Sorry for your loss Tamo. Hope the funeral is a good send off.

Cacoethes 01-02-2024 09:49 AM

Morning jen and tamo
How are you both?

Ah yeah, don't think i did specify which bin!

Sorry for your loss tamo

long road 01-02-2024 09:56 AM

I am cold. And a little off mentally.

Think I need coffee but need to find the energy to make it.

Cacoethes 01-02-2024 10:02 AM

That's not good
Hopefully you'll feel better as the day goes on

long road 01-02-2024 10:17 AM

We shall see.

How are you today?

tamobhuuta 01-02-2024 10:18 AM

Hope you manage your coffee and it helps.

What are you up to Cacoethes?

Thanks.

Cacoethes 01-02-2024 10:28 AM

I'm ok. Tired

I'm not really up to anything today.
Couple of phone calls to make, got to go back to the hospital to drop off the ecg monitor and then pick up meds. At least trains are running today! A restricted service because of strikes, but running.

long road 01-02-2024 10:39 AM

Have coffee it is helping warm me up.

Hear you on the tired I had a very disturbed night sleep myself.

Yay for trains that actually run. Limited service is better than none.

Cacoethes 01-02-2024 10:47 AM

Good!

Crappy sleep sucks

Absolutely! I find the trains actually run better on strike days!

long road 01-02-2024 11:24 AM

I haven't had proper restful sleep for a while. It sucks.

Yeah on a strike day with a limited timetable they run exactly the services they said they will rather than random cancellations or massive delays

Cacoethes 01-02-2024 11:35 AM

It does indeed! I'm the same.

Exactly!
Decided to get the 11am train instead of 12pm. Quicker i leave, Quicker i can get back!

Zurg 01-02-2024 11:44 AM

Morning guys :)

I was having a friend over for dinner tonight but she has fallen ill :(
So i am having to prepare food for 2 peeps just for me…. It feels odd. We cancelled 3 weeks ago when we were first supposed to have dinner together due to the blizzard. The Universe must be conspiring against us!! Or, it just hates the idea of me cooking fish'n'chips…..
I wish for a speedy journey, Beckie.
And for a headache that vanishes, Jen.
And i hope the funeral will be a nice goodbye, Tamo <3

Cacoethes 01-02-2024 11:46 AM

Oh no! What a shame :(
Hopefully 3rd time lucky!
Fish n chips though! Top tier food

long road 01-02-2024 12:05 PM

No headache left this morning Zurg that was last night. Just the mentals

Ooh fish and chips sounds lovely!

Hope your trip to hospital and back goes smoothly Beckie

one_step_closer 01-02-2024 12:41 PM

Hi everyone.

Hope the funeral is as ok as it can be, Tamo.

Hope your day improves, Jen.

Good luck with your tasks, Beckie.

That's a shame, Kat. Are you still going to have your fish and chips? I can try and make it over if you like!

Zurg 01-02-2024 12:55 PM

You are most welcome, Lindsay :D
You can stay a few days if you like. I have a bunny that loves it when we have visitors!!
Sorry Jen, i am often confusing the past with the present. I blame old age!!
Findus has abandoned me in the livingroom. I think he needs a break from his very clingy mum. I saw him in the bedroom a second ago, flopping on the floor and sucking his paw. So adorable!!!

one_step_closer 01-02-2024 01:20 PM

Aww, cute. How can such cute animals also be monsters?!

Cacoethes 01-02-2024 01:42 PM

Waiting for the train back now!
I decided not to use satnav there and back and vibed it XD

What's everyone up to?

long road 01-02-2024 02:07 PM

I have just arrived at the seaside, partner is picking us up some pasties and we are going to eat them while we watch the waves.

Cacoethes 01-02-2024 02:12 PM

Sounds lovely jen!

tamobhuuta 01-02-2024 02:47 PM

The funeral was nice. J was 91 and well loved so it wasn't distressing.

Seaside pasties sounds nice lr.

Hope your errands went/go ok Cacoethes.

What are you up to osc?

Sorry about your friend Zurg.
