Cacoethes 14-07-2024 01:24 PM

Making the door frame (which is basically done) and have some wire mesh to put in it to stop S and flies getting in, and also a lock for the door.
I say *we're* cracking on with it, I have 0 DIY skills, so I am supervising XD
Hopefully will be able to get them over today if all goes well!

That doesn't sound good :(
Sending hugs if wanted <3

not_so_insig 14-07-2024 03:01 PM

I have had a shower and less itchy now.

one_step_closer 14-07-2024 04:09 PM

Supervision is an important part of the process!

Thank you for the hugs.

Did you have a cold shower, Dawn? I couldn't stand that.

Cacoethes 14-07-2024 04:27 PM

The piggos are over! Managed it in record speed because we had to get home before S arrived back. Just made it! Gave them some herbs for the trauma and they are happily munching away!
I won't have to go back to mine as much now! And once the sofa and chair have gone, I can paint.

not_so_insig 14-07-2024 04:39 PM

I normally have a cold shower Lindsay anyway.

long road 14-07-2024 05:31 PM

Hey everyone, have missed chatting sorry I haven't been posting much. I keep wanting to but not having words.

one_step_closer 14-07-2024 06:49 PM

Well done, Beckie. You've been making loads of progress, nearly there!

You are brave, Dawn.

You can just ramble about anything if you need to, Jen. Miss you.

long road 14-07-2024 06:56 PM

Spent today in bed because FND is being annoying a d have none of the energy.

Partner is cooking risotto for dinner which I am looking forward to.

Hugs available for any what need them

one_step_closer 14-07-2024 07:03 PM

That's a shame, Jen. Is your bed nice and comfy and cosy at least? I hope you enjoy your dinner.

*takes hugs and leaves hugs*

long road 14-07-2024 07:16 PM

Bed is very cosy and filled with cuddly animals. Have bears and ducks and my lion to name a few!

*picks up hugs*

Cacoethes 14-07-2024 07:27 PM

That's ok jen!
I'm glad you're looking after yourself. Hopefully it will help :)

Thanks lindsay!
There really isn't much to do now! Might be able to smash it out next week tbh

Auror. 14-07-2024 07:33 PM

hi
5char

Cacoethes 14-07-2024 07:33 PM

Hi camden
How are you?

Auror. 14-07-2024 07:34 PM

here.

is evening there?

tamobhuuta 14-07-2024 07:39 PM

Evening guys. We had dinner early because Dad and bro have gone to the pub to watch the footie. Mum and I are watching a police programme

Cacoethes 14-07-2024 07:48 PM

Here is something, at least.
I am glad you are here

It is! It is 7:48pm currently

Evening tamo!
Nor interested in the football then?

Auror. 14-07-2024 07:52 PM

is this a big football time of year then? or does it go year round?

surprised people would go out on a sunday night

Cacoethes 14-07-2024 07:55 PM

It's the euros. I can't remember how often they are though. I'm not a football fan at all!

It is quite a big thing.
Because the match is at 8pm, schools have even said kids can go in later in case they're tired from watching the match!
Only because England are in the final though.

Pi.R^2 14-07-2024 07:56 PM

Ah. So the England Men's football team are in the final of the Euros and in England this is the biggest deal EVER. I cannot understate how excited the English are as a whole about this. So it's less that it's a big football time of year, more that the Euros are a Massive Deal. I'm unsure of a comparable US activity but think of something MASSIVE in the US and it's probably that :P

Auror. 14-07-2024 07:56 PM

ooooh that makes more sense

surprised big championships happen so close to olympics

Pi.R^2 14-07-2024 07:56 PM

oops, outninja'd by Beckie. Also *some school please!!!! It's not that common.

tamobhuuta 14-07-2024 07:57 PM

It goes on all year round. Feels like it anyway. But this is England in the final of something.

Cacoethes 14-07-2024 08:06 PM

I'm not really up with what most schools are doing tbh XD

not_so_insig 14-07-2024 08:08 PM

In 2 years time there's the football world cup and the commonwealth games are on the same year. They're often close to one another too Camden.

Auror. 14-07-2024 08:10 PM

the only sports we pay attention to are pony things. and we dont really follow schools here either now that we are out.

Cacoethes 14-07-2024 08:22 PM

I don't follow any sports. I did used to like the equestrian sports though!
I've been to the Olympia horse show a couple of times which was more of a show than sport but there was still some amazing jumping and other things!

Auror. 14-07-2024 08:23 PM

we have heard of that one beckie! we've seen youtube videos about it.

Cacoethes 14-07-2024 08:28 PM

It was amazing to watch tbh!
I'd love to go again

Auror. 14-07-2024 08:30 PM

we have nothing like that here. the closest thing is probably all the vendors and stuff at the biggest competitions like at kentucky and maryland 3 days. but even then there isnt all the different presentations and stuff. if you do go please take lots of jpgs and stuff to share.

Auror. 14-07-2024 08:31 PM

actually there is also breyerfest but it's not quite the same.

Cacoethes 14-07-2024 08:42 PM

I will! I was actually just looking at tickets and the prices aren't too bad! It's in December so hopefully I'll be able to afford a ticket in time!

Auror. 14-07-2024 08:43 PM

fingers crossed you can! is it too far from where you live?

tamobhuuta 14-07-2024 08:47 PM

That would be cool Cacoethes.

not_so_insig 14-07-2024 08:54 PM

I bought breyerfest tickets and bought 2 models online yesterday.

Cacoethes 14-07-2024 09:00 PM

It's in London so just over an hour driving or an hour and a half on public transport. So not bad at all!

Auror. 14-07-2024 09:02 PM

that isn't bad!

we went to breyerfest last year with a couple of friends whose horse was doing some of the demos. is there a uk breyerfest too?

not_so_insig 14-07-2024 09:06 PM

No there isn't an uk breyerfest. I bought online tickets for the regular breyerfest. Unfortunately I had to pay shipping from the usa.

Auror. 14-07-2024 09:08 PM

ah okay. thought maybe there was a uk one too.

Cacoethes 14-07-2024 09:09 PM

It's nice to live close enough to London to get to all the good concerts and shows easily, but far enough away that I'm still in the countryside!

That sounds fun camden!

Auror. 14-07-2024 09:54 PM

that makes sense. away from all the busy. but not too far so you can get there and home in a day if you really need something.

not_so_insig 15-07-2024 06:43 AM

Morning all.

tamobhuuta 15-07-2024 08:30 AM

Morning insig, how are you?

Cacoethes 15-07-2024 08:41 AM

Morning guys!
How are we today?

Auror. 15-07-2024 08:44 AM

hi all

Cacoethes 15-07-2024 08:55 AM

Hi camden.
How are you?

Auror. 15-07-2024 09:20 AM

awake. you?

tamobhuuta 15-07-2024 10:19 AM

Hi Auror and Cacoethes, how are you?

I'm seeing my spiritual director this afternoon :)

not_so_insig 15-07-2024 10:57 AM

Morning all. I had to make 2 phone calls this morning as my nurses appointment at the gp was cancelled. Sadly it's not the psych appointment which is also this afternoon  .

one_step_closer 15-07-2024 12:17 PM

Hi everyone.

You must be completely exhausted, Camden.

Hope it goes well with your spiritual director, Tamo.

Fingers crossed the psych is a good one, Dawn.

How are you, Beckie? How did your fluffies settle overnight?

Cacoethes 15-07-2024 01:03 PM

I'm ok thanks
Got pretty much all my stuff done.
Cleaned fridge out ready for collection tomorrow, went to asda, went to the gym, showered, cleaned kitchen and put some washing on.
Very tired now.

Hope it goes well tamo

Good luck for your appointment dawn

The piggos seem OK! A bit quiet, but they'll be taking some time to get used to the new smells and noises I imagine.

How are you lindsay?
