Cacoethes 17-12-2019 03:54 PM

What are fish and chips biscuit things??

one_step_closer 17-12-2019 04:39 PM

Burtons' Fish N Chips (link).

I remember them from when I was a child and they disappeared for ages and were then brought back. They are very yum. I will send you some if you like?

Sounds like a lot of walking Dawn. I hope you're feeling warmer now.

Cacoethes 17-12-2019 04:46 PM

I've never seen them before!
Do they sell them in England do you know?

My phone is saying 'potential disruption due to snow and ice!'

not_so_insig 17-12-2019 05:02 PM

Sadly I am still freezing despite a hot water bottle. I have put the heating on.

Cacoethes 17-12-2019 05:47 PM

Can't believe how close we are to Christmas now
Bumped into one of my neighbours earlier and she said she's been sick of it for months as she works in wilko and they've been getting Christmas stock in for about 2 months now

not_so_insig 17-12-2019 05:57 PM

Yep it's scary to think that this time next week will be Christmas eve!

one_step_closer 17-12-2019 06:14 PM

I'm sure they sell them in England. I got some from B&M but they're in Tesco and Poundland etc. They're usually with the crisps.

It is strange that Christmas is finally coming after all the months of hearing about it.

Cacoethes 17-12-2019 06:17 PM

I'll have a look tomorrow!

Yep. And then it's all over in one day!

chinahorse 17-12-2019 06:26 PM

Haven't seen those in years Lindsay!

Cacoethes 17-12-2019 07:03 PM

I had mozzarella sticks and popcorn chicken for dinner.
I should probably eat a vegetable at some point soon

chinahorse 17-12-2019 07:36 PM

Down with the vegetables!

Saying that I just had some broccoli.

Cacoethes 17-12-2019 07:43 PM

Well done!
I do like broccoli

zombiehunter 17-12-2019 08:11 PM

my niece loves broccoli

Cacoethes 17-12-2019 08:17 PM

I've never tried haggis but it sounds odd

zombiehunter 17-12-2019 08:27 PM

so you should love haggis :-p

Cacoethes 17-12-2019 08:34 PM

Cacoethes 17-12-2019 09:01 PM

Yay! *noms*

chinahorse 17-12-2019 10:04 PM

So cold. Brrrr.

Cacoethes 17-12-2019 10:08 PM

It is very cold!

chinahorse 17-12-2019 10:10 PM

Cant feel my hands or feet. And bertie is asleep, snoring under one of the blankets of my knee.

Cacoethes 17-12-2019 10:21 PM

Oh no!
You must be freezing
Have you got anymore blankets?
Aww bless him

chinahorse 17-12-2019 10:48 PM

Yeh it's really cold in the house.

I have blankets but they're on the bed. With my electric blanket that is the most wonderful gift I've ever had. Seriously get one!

Cacoethes 17-12-2019 10:56 PM

I'm scared of electric blankets!
I had one but the inside of it started sparking and I freaked out

chinahorse 18-12-2019 12:58 AM

Eek! Can see why that'd freak you out!

Now they are better (I hope) with better safety designs. And I saw my gp advertising a place you can get them tested for free.

Cacoethes 18-12-2019 04:16 AM

Might have to ger one then Lillie!
Although I am randomly too hot right now

Well done for finishing your shopping bouquaisw!

Eska 18-12-2019 08:22 AM

Bo, I'm doing admin stuff in a hospital. It's super interesting so far! I'm definitely excited to see how it goes.

I'm so close to finished with my Christmas shopping! My current sticking point is the gift exchange with my friends has a £5 budget and I found an awesome thing for £3 so now I need to spend £2 in the most fun way possible, which is harder than you would think! I have until Saturday to sort it...

Cacoethes 18-12-2019 10:49 AM

Sounds really cool eska :)

That sounds tricky! Have you been to a shop like Tiger? They have some fun small things in there and shops like it

one_step_closer 18-12-2019 12:00 PM

Morning everyone.

Well done with finishing your shopping Bo, have you got lots to wrap?

How are you Beckie?

Sounds good with the job Eska. I agree with Beckie about Tiger. You might get some things in The Works too if there's one near you.

Cacoethes 18-12-2019 12:13 PM

I'm ok thanks.
How are you?

The Works is also a good option!

one_step_closer 18-12-2019 12:15 PM

I'm ok. Hoping I can keep myself occupied today. I'm dreading the evening already.

Are you doing much today?

one_step_closer 18-12-2019 12:16 PM

Also, Eska, B&M have some cute little fairy light things etc.

chinahorse 18-12-2019 12:24 PM

Hey guys.

Lindsay and beckie have good ideas for little gift shops. Cant think of much else!

Have you got stuff you would like or want to do lindsay? Any way to spread it out into the evening more?

I need poking to get dressed and go to the Post office. And put a card through someone's door. Which I vaguely know where it is.

Cacoethes 18-12-2019 12:25 PM

I don't like evenings either
I hope you can find something to occupy you

I have a nurse appointment to get stabbed with a needle (contraceptive injection), need to go to the pharmacy and as always, need to go to either asda or aldi

*pokes Lillie*

chinahorse 18-12-2019 12:31 PM

Aldi. They have the middle aisle of random dreams.

Cant be bothered to get dressed. I would go if pjs were spcially acceptable.

Cacoethes 18-12-2019 12:38 PM

I love the random middle aisle in aldi

PJs should be socially acceptable imo

tamobhuuta 18-12-2019 12:41 PM

I got my sister a lovely pen from paperchase for 2 quid.

chinahorse 18-12-2019 12:41 PM

And now I have cat on my lap. Cant move him. It's the law.

Cacoethes 18-12-2019 12:47 PM

Oh no!
It's true, it is the law

chinahorse 18-12-2019 12:52 PM

Oh what a bargain tamo!

not_so_insig 18-12-2019 01:50 PM

Afternoon all. I was supposed to meet my friend today but she's unwell. But the good news is that I recieved my present from Lorraine in the post. Plus my kitties got some post. My male was after a toy before I could unpack it. He had a good play session once I gave him it he was behaving like a kitten. I have never seen him behave like that before so I think it's safe to say that the box was a hit.

chinahorse 18-12-2019 01:58 PM

Shame your friwns is unwell Dawn. Can you reschedule once theyre better?

Awww cute kitty!

not_so_insig 18-12-2019 02:17 PM

Unfortunately none of the kitties are now not speaking to me as they got their 6 monthly worming and defleaing. My female was good at swallowing her tablet though.

chinahorse 18-12-2019 02:40 PM

Mean mummy! :-P

I'm sure they'll get over it.

not_so_insig 18-12-2019 02:56 PM

My male has decided that I am worth speaking to now as he is now sitting next to me. He is purring away. My female is now in the same room as me but she's keeping her distance.

Cacoethes 18-12-2019 02:59 PM

It is very cold
