Cacoethes 14-04-2023 09:52 AM

I know that feeling!
Hopefully you'll wake up in a bit

It did!
I have the window open which helps i think.
It's my washing day today so got to go through the whole thing again!

long road 14-04-2023 10:00 AM

Got out of bed and had some cereal for breakfast which is helping a bit with waking up.

Hooray for dry washing. Eurgh for the endurance event of more washing to do with a terrible dryer. But yay that end result will be more clean clothes!

Cacoethes 14-04-2023 10:06 AM

That's good!

True!
We can only do washing on allocated days by room number so best to take the opportunity when you have it!

Do you have any plans for today?

long road 14-04-2023 10:13 AM

Seize the opportunity.. to do washing.... XD

No plans until later on when I am roleplaying last session we finished just as we were squaring up for a.fight with a scary alien robot man.

tamobhuuta 14-04-2023 10:15 AM

Hello everyone x

long road 14-04-2023 10:17 AM

Hello Tamo! How goes the start of your day? Did you have a crumpet this morning?

tamobhuuta 14-04-2023 11:17 AM

I did :)

The weather here is dreadful and I've got to go out in it to return a couple of library books. Luckily my dad is giving me a lift so I don't have to walk too far in it!

Are you looking forward to your role playing later?

long road 14-04-2023 11:25 AM

We have persistent drizzle here. Going outside is like sticking your head in a cloud! Glad you can get a lift to save getting soaked.

I am very much looking forward to roleplaying later it is one of the high lights of my week :)

Cacoethes 14-04-2023 11:40 AM

My washing is washed but someone has just dumped it on top of the machine because the dryer is in use :plain:
So I've got to get there as soon as it finishes because otherwise the person who dumped my clothes out will no doubt put their's straight in the dryer.
Washing should not be so complicated.

Weather isn't great here either. Was pouring down earlier!

one_step_closer 14-04-2023 12:19 PM

Afternoon everyone. Nice and sunny here so far.

Your hair sounds amazing Ahimsa. I don't think I'll ever dye mine except I don't know what I'm going to do when bits start going grey.

I hope you feel more awake soon, Jen. I'm glad you have something to look forward to.

I hope you get your washing dried soon, Beckie. I've only been in one hospital that had washing facilities and sometimes I would stay in the room to make sure I knew exactly what was going on with my washing.

Hi, Tamo. I'm glad you're getting a lift from your Dad. Don't want the library books getting wet! I have a sleeve that I put over my book before it goes in my bag if it's raining. Will you be borrowing more books?

Cacoethes 14-04-2023 12:47 PM

We can't stay in the room. It's locked.
And the machines take like an hour!
One of the staff is going to find out whose washing is in the dryer so i can put my stuff in. God knows how long that will take. She will defo forget.

one_step_closer 14-04-2023 01:01 PM

Sounds like a task. I hope you do manage to get your clothes dried soon.

Also relatable with the dark hair! I did manage a decent pink dip-dye in lockdown when I bleached the ends though!

jpgs required of this excellent hair!!!

Beckie, I'm watching this laundry saga on the edge of my seat, what a hassle!! Wish I lived closer or I'd just come and get your laundry and take it to do myself.

Greetings all, tell me your news or a fun fact!

one_step_closer 14-04-2023 02:34 PM

I have no news or a fun fact, sorry. Maybe you could entertain us with your strangeness? How is your day going?

tamobhuuta 14-04-2023 02:42 PM

I didn't take any books out, but I do have one on reserve.

one_step_closer 14-04-2023 02:53 PM

Are you close to the front of the queue for your reserved book, do you know? What book is it? Libraries are good to have but I get anxious in my local library because the workers know me and there's nowhere to hide because the bookcases are short. I used to love going to the library growing up. I went every day after school and was always the first person to take out the new Goosebumps books.

tamobhuuta 14-04-2023 03:15 PM

I've no idea. Online they claim that all the libraries in the county own a copy, and they are all on loan. It's the third murder mystery by Richard Osman.

Mum used to take us to the library every Saturday. It's a shame you're not comfortable going now.

Wow a hidden hair rainbow sounds awesome, your spouse is super cool!

Women in my family who have the dark hair tend to go gray earlier so I have alway said I will dye my hair when that happens!

I went back to bed around noon as I was feeling eurgh, my partner said I kept trying to get out of bed and starting in my sleep last night so no wonder I was tired I had a 2 and a half hour nap. Still having a very slow day, I had a proper coffee and even that hasn't woken me up.Watching a TV show about some celebrities going on a pilgrimage about St Columba

one_step_closer 14-04-2023 04:47 PM

Are those books good, Tamo? (well of course they are, you're reading them!) Must be popular if they're all out on loan.

Will you still be able to take part in your roleplay, Jen?

long road 14-04-2023 04:50 PM

I hope so, it's online so it shouldn't be a big issue. Plus we are finishing early as my friend A has to get up early tomorrow morning.

one_step_closer 14-04-2023 04:58 PM

I hope you do manage. Are you feeling any more awake? I hope you have a better sleep tonight.

long road 14-04-2023 05:06 PM

Not particularly awake rather groggy and achy. Sitting on sofa with my blanket and bears. Tried a few of stretches physio suggested and they have helped a little bit with achyness but there's a muscle playing up on my back and she hasn't taught me any exercises for my back yet.

Ahimsa 14-04-2023 05:28 PM

Hey guys,

I've had a seriously rubbish day at work, and have to write yet another police complaint after my meeting yesterday so please send positive vibes my way!

I'm working all weekend too, boo!

long road 14-04-2023 05:32 PM

*sends a bucket full of positive vibes* (they are rainbow coloured and sparkly)

So you get any days off next week to act as your substitute weekend?

That must be tricky, when I worked I sometimes found the first day was about recovery and the second day I could actually enjoy myself.

My days are mostly the same since going off sick 2 and a bit years ago. Routine is very important for managing chronic fatigue annoyingly. I am trying very hard to stick to one but it's tricky. I have roleplay on Wednesday and Friday and we often see my partner's family on Sunday but that's it for difference in days.

Ahimsa 14-04-2023 05:54 PM

Yeah, I usually spend my weekends like that - sleeping Saturday, enjoying Sunday, but I have to work 1 in 4. When I do that, I get 1 day off the week of the weekend, and 1 day the week after.

long road 14-04-2023 06:03 PM

At least it's only every 4. Doing it every week would be worse.

I am achy and struggling a bit with pain. Just stuck the oven on and put some butternut squash into roast. I will having a butternut squash red onion a mushroom pizza for dinner

Ahimsa 14-04-2023 06:06 PM

Apart from the mushroom, I'd say that sounds lovely!! I'm sorry you're struggling pain wise :(

long road 14-04-2023 06:10 PM

I am looking forward to it going to have it with some salad.

My partner isn't a fan of mushrooms either it's a texture thing for him

Ahimsa 14-04-2023 06:11 PM

I'm exactly the same! The texture makes me go eugh!

tamobhuuta 14-04-2023 06:24 PM

Hugs all round I think x

one_step_closer 14-04-2023 06:24 PM

*sends HUMONGOUS positive vibes to Ahimsa*

I really need to try butternut squash. Your pizza sounds good, Jen. Although I agree with Ahimsa about the mushrooms. What are you having in your salad? If I have a salad it's as a meal in itself, I'm not good with side salads. I tend to ignore them for the main meal.

one_step_closer 14-04-2023 06:25 PM

How are you getting on, Tamo?

long road 14-04-2023 07:06 PM

QJust having some mixed leaves and coleslaw was going to have beetroot as well but I didn't feel like it in the end. It's ready but I am not eating it yet. Used all my energy to make it for partner and I (they were having a nap) and ran out of energy to use to eat.

EDIT: Managed to eat it helped a little bit still wobbly so resting, probably going to take a little extra time and be late for roleplaying

tamobhuuta 14-04-2023 08:48 PM

I'm just on my way to bed osc. Been watching doctor who. Good night everyone!

long road 14-04-2023 09:34 PM

Love a bit of Doctor Who I am currently part way into Jodie Whittaker's first season on a rewatch before watching the flux season for the first time.

Sleep well Tamo.

I am just about managing to roleplay.

Cacoethes 15-04-2023 09:22 AM

Morning everyone!
I'll try to be about a bit more today.
My bestie is visiting at 2pm :)
Only trouble is, he's a mental health OT, so he's gonna make me do stuff XD

tamobhuuta 15-04-2023 10:33 AM

Damn OTs! I hope you have fun. My big sis is coming round this afternoon.

Cacoethes 15-04-2023 10:45 AM

Thanks!

Hope you have a nice time with your sister!
Anything planned or just chilling?

tamobhuuta 15-04-2023 10:48 AM

Just chilling :)

tamobhuuta 15-04-2023 11:05 AM

I thought I was going to get the house to myself for an hour this morning but then my mum and sister left early and my dad left late. Obviously I had been planning a wild party.

Cacoethes 15-04-2023 11:13 AM

Sounds good!

That's a shame your plans for a wild party were foiled! :tongue2:

one_step_closer 15-04-2023 12:36 PM

Afternoon everyone. Sending good day wishes.

I hope you enjoy your visit, Beckie. I know the power of visits in breaking up your day and seeing a friendly face to chat to.

Enjoy seeing your big sister, Tamo. Maybe you can have your party together!

No one is visiting me today. I feel left out.

tamobhuuta 15-04-2023 12:50 PM

I will visit you like a ghost and freak you out.

not_so_insig 15-04-2023 01:18 PM

If anyone is on benefits the remember that they get paid in arrears. So if anyone is due a payment soon then you won't get the full increased amount until your next payment after 24 April (or 10th May if you get paid monthly).

Cacoethes 15-04-2023 01:46 PM

Thanks lindsay!

Aww. Is the catto about?

one_step_closer 15-04-2023 02:02 PM

Thanks, Tamo. I'm not so sure that's a kind of visit I'd want!

Cat is sleeping on his bed upstairs.

Don't understand anything about benefits payments or money in general but thanks for sharing Dawn.

not_so_insig 15-04-2023 02:08 PM

Basically Lindsay don't panic if you don't see an increased benefit payment in your next payment. You will get the full amount in the payment after.

one_step_closer 15-04-2023 04:40 PM

Oh right. I never notice much anyway.

How is your day going?
