Cacoethes 24-10-2022 02:00 PM

Hey!

Lovely and sunny here!
There was a guy outside asda playing in the end by linkin park on a keyboard! Chills!

tamobhuuta 24-10-2022 02:11 PM

Hi guys. Yay for parcels and Linkin Park!

not_so_insig 24-10-2022 02:14 PM

Boiler man has been. A part needs replacing but otherwise it's ok. Managed to break my gin glass though

tamobhuuta 24-10-2022 02:15 PM

Yay but noooo!

not_so_insig 24-10-2022 02:17 PM

Note it was me who broke the glass not the boiler man.

one_step_closer 24-10-2022 02:34 PM

I hope it wasn't a special glass, Dawn.

Was the guy singing, Beckie?

Cacoethes 24-10-2022 02:45 PM

No he wasn't singing. Just keyboard!
It was really nice!

I am home and bored!
Done all my things
Apart from book hair appointment because my hairdressers isn't open on mondays! I'll do that tomorrow :-D
I just had a very very tasty cheese salad!

What's everyone else up to?

one_step_closer 24-10-2022 02:49 PM

Did you make it yourself or get it from a shop? I'm glad you enjoyed it. I hope you find something to cure your boredom.

I'm just about to write in my diary, I need to do a bit of writing every day and log my thoughts and feelings and what I've managed to do with my day. Then will read for a bit and make some dinner. I'm having corned beef hash.

not_so_insig 24-10-2022 02:56 PM

Yes it was a 40th birthday present from my parents Lindsay that was engraved too so am super annoyed.

Cacoethes 24-10-2022 02:57 PM

I got it from asda!
So delicious! Best cheese salad ever!

Sounds good!
I don't think I've ever had corned beef hash!

not_so_insig 24-10-2022 03:03 PM

I tried corn beef hash once and didnt like it. But then again it was several years ago and a ready meal. Maybe if I try it again I might like it.

Cacoethes 24-10-2022 03:21 PM

I don't think I've ever actually eaten corned beef at all

not_so_insig 24-10-2022 03:28 PM

Tinned is the best but it's not the easiest thing to open

Cacoethes 24-10-2022 03:41 PM

I don't like the look of it tbh!

Some kids have just hammered on the door and run off! They were stupid enough to run past my window, bang on the door then run past the same window. Isn't the point of that game to get the person to get up and answer the door? Because it was super obvious it was them! At least run in the other direction where I can't see who it was XD
Amateurs!

not_so_insig 24-10-2022 03:51 PM

Kids today! There has been reports in the media about kids playing that game locally. The police were called.

Cacoethes 24-10-2022 04:07 PM

I think calling the police is a bit much!
They are busy enough as it is with actual crime!
This is just idiots knocking on doors and legging it. Kids have been doing it for probably as long as doors have existed!!

tamobhuuta 24-10-2022 04:11 PM

That's a pity about your glass insig :(

not_so_insig 24-10-2022 04:33 PM

Thanks tamobhuuta.

My amazon parcel is here. I had a new winter duvet so now I have the horrible task of shoving it inside a duvet cover. I always struggle with that task.

Oh and decide what to have for tea.

tamobhuuta 24-10-2022 04:38 PM

I hate changing my duvet cover. What are your options for tea?

Cacoethes 24-10-2022 04:39 PM

I changed my bedsheets today!
I also did washing. And need to shower.
It is raining heavily! Been so nice and sunny and warm today too! British weather! Wonder if we'll get another storm. I hope so!

nonperson 24-10-2022 05:20 PM

Mmmm corned beef hash. My mum used to make that when I was still at home. I'm having comforting food memories now.

one_step_closer 24-10-2022 05:22 PM

In the end I couldn't be bothered cooking so I just got a sausage supper from the chip shop.

That's a shame about your glass, Dawn. I agree it's hard putting a duvet inside a cover. I hope it's not too difficult and it keeps you nice and warm.

I want a storm, give it to me, Beckie! *sulks* It's just been dull and cold all day here.

Did your Mum use the proper sauce for it, NP? I just use tomato ketchup.

nonperson 24-10-2022 05:22 PM

What's a sausage supper?

one_step_closer 24-10-2022 05:24 PM

Battered sausage and chips.

nonperson 24-10-2022 05:30 PM

I highly approve!

not_so_insig 24-10-2022 05:30 PM

I have semi managed to get the duvet cover on. The cover is on but the duvet bunched up on the top but it i tried for half an hour to get it straight. Gave up in the end because my arms are knackered now.

nonperson 24-10-2022 05:33 PM

Use the California roll method.

one_step_closer 24-10-2022 05:33 PM

Your approval means a great deal to me, NP!

Maybe it'll even out when you're using it, Dawn.

Cacoethes 24-10-2022 05:43 PM

Oooooh sausage and chips! Yummy!

I've been trying to have something for dinner for ages but i keep getting distracted XD

nonperson 24-10-2022 05:49 PM

Approval but with a massive touch of jealousy, Lindsay!

I want to make chilli tonight.

Don't get distracted for too long, Beckie.

Cacoethes 24-10-2022 05:53 PM

Chilli sounds good!

I'm actually starving but whenever i get up to do someth i end up doing something else and forgetting!

not_so_insig 24-10-2022 06:27 PM

I am hungry but I cant decide what to have. Resisting the urge to order takeaway.

Cacoethes 24-10-2022 06:42 PM

I have finally managed to make food XD
Need to shower now

nonperson 24-10-2022 07:29 PM

My chilli is simmering =)

Cacoethes 24-10-2022 08:13 PM

Yaaaay! Enjoy!

I have showered!
Fireworks going on across the road! Happy diwali!

not_so_insig 24-10-2022 09:15 PM

I had tortellini with tomato sauce in the end. Fancied fish but I have none :-( . But am having a tesco delivery tomorrow so hopefully they'll deliver me some salmon.

Cacoethes 25-10-2022 07:06 AM

Morning everyone!

Zurg 25-10-2022 08:57 AM

Morning Beckie.
How are you?

Cacoethes 25-10-2022 10:07 AM

Yo!

I'm ok thanks!
You?

Zurg 25-10-2022 10:22 AM

Quite sweaty atm. I’ve just been to the grocery shop and the petshop. Even though i went a bit nuts in the petshop, i managed to get everything on to my bike and ride home. But this time of year is hard dressing appropiatly for. So i always end up in a sweaty mess ;)

Are you doing anything fun today?? :D

tamobhuuta 25-10-2022 10:37 AM

Hi Cacoethes and Zurg.

Zurg 25-10-2022 10:45 AM

Hi Tamo :)

How are you today??

Cacoethes 25-10-2022 11:04 AM

Well done for doing stuff!
Yes it is so hard to dress appropriately for the weather!
I pretty much live in jeans, t shirt and hoodie all year round though! I HATE wearing coats! Could be -10 and I'd still be in a hoodie XD
Most likely with the sleeves rolled up because i walk fast and get warm quickly! In the winter my arms go numb from the cold but I'm still warm and have the sleeves rolled up!

Got a few things going on!
Getting my nails done soon :-D

Hey tamo!

not_so_insig 25-10-2022 11:59 AM

Morning all. I have no plans today other than having a tesco shopping order and my parents visiting. I have had 8 substitutions! 8! Fortunately they were all ok. Plus 1 unavailable item which I am not too bothered about.

not_so_insig 25-10-2022 12:08 PM

Also Royal Mail are on strike today in case you're wondering why there's no post.

not_so_insig 25-10-2022 12:21 PM

Also the clocks are going back an hour on Sunday at 2 am. I get confused for a week after the clocks change.

one_step_closer 25-10-2022 12:38 PM

Hi everyone.

What are you going to get on your nails, Beckie?

Well done for going shopping, Kat. Have you been spoiling your zoo?

Hi Tamo, how are things?

That's a lot of substitutions, Dawn! I hope your delivery and seeing your parents goes well.

I absolutely hate clock changes.

not_so_insig 25-10-2022 12:46 PM

Yes I was surprised how many substitutions. Fortunately it's all sensible stuff (like once I ordered breadcrumbs and it got substituted for noodles) and its stuff I know that I will eat. I am unsure what I will have for tea though.

one_step_closer 25-10-2022 12:47 PM

Do you manage to spend £40 and not get charged extra if it's under £40? I always struggle to find things to make up the £40.

not_so_insig 25-10-2022 12:53 PM

I am the opposite I struggle to keep under the £40. But I have tons of lemonade and alcohol which bumps up the price. I have a big appetite. Also I had 2 boxes of washing powder which was £12 and cat food this week.
