Steel Maiden 31-12-2008 04:13 PM

r = (x^2 + y^2)^0.5

theta = arctan(y/x)

I've learnt all the powers of 2 up to 2^37 = 137,438,953,472

Schleier von Dunst 31-12-2008 04:29 PM

^ omg!!!

the most amazing thing i can learn is every number squared up to 15, then i skip to 20 and 25

Shakespeare's Strumpet 01-01-2009 01:51 AM

Why can you skip?
Math makes my head hurt.

Steel Maiden 01-01-2009 12:38 PM

Thanks for the compliment =) =)

I have a gift in mathematics. I can remember long strings of numbers and I shun the calculator lol.

My best friend knows Pi to about 8 decimal places.
I scare people when I do simple (and not so simple) maths in my head or with pen and paper really quickly

Shakespeare's Strumpet 01-01-2009 05:32 PM

I scare people with....my amazing ability to...analyze books and movies? Maybe?
Huh. At least I proved that Heathcliff was schizophrenic. That was kinda cool.

broken_dreams 01-01-2009 05:42 PM

I scare people when there's dead silence, and i just burst out laughing...

Shakespeare's Strumpet 01-01-2009 05:52 PM

^^Oooh! I do that too! I do that too!

broken_dreams 01-01-2009 05:56 PM

broken_dreams 01-01-2009 06:55 PM

my brother thinks its sad that my favorite part is where they fake the horse sound with the coconuts lol.

Schleier von Dunst 01-01-2009 07:02 PM

^ buts that's a good part, then they meet some french dude who's like "Eet ees de coconuts" and then they discuss coconuts

Shakespeare's Strumpet 01-01-2009 07:08 PM

^^ I quote Monty Python all the time, although I tend to quote Holy Grail and Flying Circus quite a bit.
Especially the bit with the Silly Walks.

Schleier von Dunst 01-01-2009 07:10 PM

^ most definitely. and the dead parrot. you seen the world's funniest joke sketch?

Shakespeare's Strumpet 01-01-2009 07:17 PM

Schleier von Dunst 01-01-2009 07:20 PM

My parents got me the full monty python box set for xmas :-D

Shakespeare's Strumpet 01-01-2009 08:20 PM

Schleier von Dunst 01-01-2009 09:42 PM

Wow =)

I used to know pi to 250 decimal places, but now I can only remember 30 =(

Schleier von Dunst 04-01-2009 06:52 PM

omg wow!!!!!!

I don't remember much of Pi, but people marvel at my multiplication, then giggle when I fail at division

Steel Maiden 04-01-2009 10:09 PM

=)

Multiplication is easier than division though.

I have Asperger's syndrome, which I suppose I could attribute my maths skills to.

I love numbers.

deadstar 05-01-2009 01:04 AM

Bumpy bump bump bump

Shakespeare's Strumpet 05-01-2009 03:17 AM

I love language and words. And Sudoku is about as close as I come to loving numbers.

Schleier von Dunst 05-01-2009 01:20 PM

I love learning long words, then fitting them into context within a sentence, thus scaring people listening to me :tongue2:

Shakespeare's Strumpet 05-01-2009 04:21 PM

Shakespeare's Strumpet 05-01-2009 10:36 PM

I'm watching this thing on Free Speech TV called Hell House. It's about this church in Texas that does a "haunted house" where they show what the church considers dangerous sins as horrors on Halloween night.
Do you guys watch/read any alternative news sources?
