That's good jen!
I'm getting my decision in the next couple of weeks.
I reckon mine will get stopped or decreased. Which is fine because I'm generally OK these days! I'll take a hit finance wise though, obviously!

I am at my usual place thankfully! Good to be back where it's not ****ing freezing the whole time!
I finish at 9pm

one_step_closer 17-02-2025 01:50 PM

I hope whatever they do with your PIP you will manage ok, Beckie. That's a long day at work!

not_so_insig 17-02-2025 01:54 PM

Hello all. We have currently 404 guests viewing this thread. What a lot.

I have tesco coming today but I am struggling to find my breath today for some reason. Hopefully it's not covid. So that will be fun. For some reason I had 2 substitutions. For exactly the same item as I ordered. Plus 3 unavailable items :-( . One was my whisky and I don't believe that tesco don't have any whisky in their store. So it's annoying af.

one_step_closer 17-02-2025 02:41 PM

I hope you're not getting unwell, Dawn.

404 guests just made me think of the 404 error.

long road 17-02-2025 03:34 PM

Hope your decision is a fair one Beckie and that you can manage the financial hit if it happens.

Lol Lindsay. I think the 404 guests are probably bots.

Hope your shift goes smoothly Beckie and isn't too frantic with it being half term.

Sorry to hear you are feeling short of breath Dawn it is a very un fun feeling that I have had a lot the last fortnight! Hope it goes away as quickly as it has come.

not_so_insig 17-02-2025 04:07 PM

Thanks Jen. I have had my tesco shopping order and the driver helped me so it wasn't as bad as usual. Still very much out of breath so will do covid test later.

long road 17-02-2025 04:51 PM

Glad to hear the driver helped, which made dealing with shopping easier. Hope you can get some rest now.

I just came back to bed, pretty exhausted after my therapy session earlier on. Just listening to music for now but might nap later.

Cacoethes 17-02-2025 05:27 PM

Thanks guys!

It's been busy but not massively.
Just finishing up my break

long road 17-02-2025 05:31 PM

Nearly half way Beckie!

not_so_insig 17-02-2025 06:14 PM

It's not covid which is good as test was negative. Just gotta keep an eye on my breathing.

one_step_closer 17-02-2025 06:40 PM

Hope your therapy session was helpful, Jen.

I'm glad you don't have covid, Dawn. I hope you feel better soon.

Good luck with the rest of your shift, Beckie.

long road 17-02-2025 06:51 PM

Therapy went well thanks. But took quite a lot out of me energy wise.

How has your day gone Lindsay?

one_step_closer 17-02-2025 07:20 PM

Yeah, therapy can be a lot. Are you having anything exciting for dinner today? I always like your dinners!

My day has been quite difficult but I'd rather it just continued than having to go to the hell that is my bed.

not_so_insig 17-02-2025 07:32 PM

Well done for persevering (or at least trying to) Lindsay. Sorry your day has been difficult.

long road 17-02-2025 07:34 PM

I had big and late lunch so probably just going to have something small like beans and cheese on toast tonight.

The fact you keep trying is definitely something to be proud of Lindsay. Hugs?

Cacoethes 17-02-2025 11:08 PM

I am home :-D

Hope everyone has a good sleep

not_so_insig 18-02-2025 10:49 AM

Morning all.

one_step_closer 18-02-2025 12:06 PM

Thanks Dawn and Jen.

Morning, how are you all?

long road 18-02-2025 12:34 PM

*yawns* Morning

Slow start to the day for me. Had a rough night with my FND last night and feeling the effects this morning.

How is everyone else?

one_step_closer 18-02-2025 12:51 PM

That's not good, Jen. Might you start to feel a bit better as the day goes on? I hope your body and brain are as kind as possible to you today.

I'm still having a difficult time but today is colouring group day.

long road 18-02-2025 12:54 PM

I might or I might not. Hard to say really. Apart from to go to the loo I haven't left bed yet. Really tired. Am drinking a coffee which may help and even if it doesn't is tasty at least!

Hope colouring group goes well, perhaps it will lift your mood a little.

one_step_closer 18-02-2025 12:59 PM

Do what you need to. Is there anything you'd like to do today?

Colouring group is always good so hopefully it will at least help my mood while I'm there.

long road 18-02-2025 01:05 PM

I would like to respond to the email from my neuro rehab OT. She sent it nearly 3 weeks ago but there has been a lot going on whatt with PIP assessment and then asthma flare and I haven't found energy to respond yet.

I would also like a shower but energy levels are not there today so will aim to do that tomorrow morning.

Partner's parents are coming over later for a cup of tea and a chat but I don't feel much like socialising today so might just stay in the bedroom while he chats with them.

I am happy you have a group you enjoy and a friend to enjoy it with. You deserve good things.

tamobhuuta 18-02-2025 02:43 PM

Afternoon all

long road 18-02-2025 03:15 PM

Afternoon Tamo,

How are you?

I am still in bed as I have none of the energy. My partner has just bought me tea and biscuits though so life is not all bad.

not_so_insig 18-02-2025 04:48 PM

Afternoon all. I have been watching most of this week's episodes of Great British Menu and also today's Coronation Street. Fell asleep after my last post.

tamobhuuta 18-02-2025 05:53 PM

Hi lr and insig. I'm ok thanks, I've had a hairwash and done some tai chi.

Was it a good sleep insig?

I hope you enjoyed your tea and biscuits lr.

long road 18-02-2025 06:00 PM

I like Great British Menu too Dawn. I think it's my favourite cooking show. Caught up on all the previous week's (North West, South West and Scotland) but haven't seen any of this week's episodes yet.

Tea and biscuits were good. Had Yorkshire Tea Malty Biscuit Brew and chocolate caramel digestives.

not_so_insig 18-02-2025 06:10 PM

I don't like digestives but that tea sounds good. I also had to have an shower as my medical condition flared up. But the good news is that my breathing is much better today so it's a case of keeping an eye on it. Hopefully it will return to normal tomorrow.

one_step_closer 18-02-2025 06:42 PM

That is so strange, I just bought some caramel chocolate digestives! Have you seen that lots of Lego sets are reduced in price at Asda, Jen?

Do you find Tai Chi helpful, Tamo? Does it need a lot of balance?

I'm glad you're doing better breathing wise, Dawn.

long road 18-02-2025 06:49 PM

I highly recommend the tea it's a favourite of mine.

My packet of caramel chocolate digestivesis almost finished they are very moorish! Only had them 5 days which for me is going quickly.

There is not an Asda in my city strangely. And I don't tend to physically go to supermarkets anyway usually get online delivery or click and collect which my partner collects. Hoping I can get some Lego from somewhere for my birthday on Thursday.

How was colouring group Lindsay?

tamobhuuta 18-02-2025 06:49 PM

It's a relaxing way to spend half an hour osc. I think I've been 3 times now. The leader takes it very gently and I haven't had to stand on one leg yet.

long road 18-02-2025 07:01 PM

My neuro physio recommended trying tai chi but I have yet to get around to it. Glad you find it relaxing Tamo.

one_step_closer 18-02-2025 07:05 PM

Yeah I just saw the reduced Lego on a Fb group I follow. That's a shame you don't have an Asda near you. Where do you tend to get your Lego? Do you have a particular set that you'd like for your birthday?

Sounds good, Tamo. Are there many other activities you take part in?

Colouring was good just too short, we have to finish a bit earlier now because the cafe closes earlier.

long road 18-02-2025 08:39 PM

I tend to buy my Lego online directly from Lego as I get loyalty points you can use for discounts or exclusive sets. Or wherever my partner or brother buys it as I mostly get my Lego as presents. I said to my partner I would quite like something from the botanicals range but don't know which one I will get so it's still a fun suprise!

That sucks that it wasn't as long as there anyway the group could start a little earlier to stay the same length as before?

Cacoethes 19-02-2025 09:38 AM

Morning everyone

not_so_insig 19-02-2025 10:44 AM

Morning Beckie how are you?

long road 19-02-2025 10:47 AM

Morning Everyone!

Cacoethes 19-02-2025 11:56 AM

Morning Dawn and Jen!
How are you both?

I'm ok thanks. Bit tired!

long road 19-02-2025 12:32 PM

Feeling a bit rough, FND is playing up. But not too bad.

You got much on today Beckie?

Cacoethes 19-02-2025 12:49 PM

Sorry to hear that! Hopefully it improves

Not really. Went to asda this morning, going out to the RSPB reserve now, need to pick up meds later on.

long road 19-02-2025 01:36 PM

It's weird I am mentally with it / fairly clear headed. But exhausted and in some pain.

Hope you have nice weather for your trip to the nature reserve. I have got a video call with my support worker at 2pm but nothing else apart from RPG is I feel up for it tonight. Trying to save energy for tomorrow.

tamobhuuta 19-02-2025 01:38 PM

Hi everyone.

not_so_insig 19-02-2025 02:10 PM

Hello tamobhuuta!

I am ok. Been wild swimming. I am not as cold as last week but I currently have a coffee.

long road 19-02-2025 02:59 PM

Hey Tamo! *Waves*

Enjoy your coffee Dawn! Coffee is life!

Cacoethes 19-02-2025 04:24 PM

That does sound odd jen!

We had a nice time thanks. Were there for a couple of hours because S had to pick up a leaf every 2 steps (he likes ripping up leaves and plants)

Hope it went OK with your support worker jen!

Hello tamo!

tamobhuuta 19-02-2025 04:44 PM

I think I would enjoy a walk in the.country with S Cacoethes, I love picking things up, though not to shred.

Cacoethes 19-02-2025 05:03 PM

It can get a bit frustrating!
He planted himself down at one point and refused to move. We had to lure him with a bit of sandwich at a time, otherwise we'd probably still be there! XD

one_step_closer 19-02-2025 05:05 PM

Afternoon everyone. I have had such a busy day, this is me just sitting down to do my initial internetting which I usually do in the morning/early afternoon.

It's good you're at least mentally not too terrible, Jen. MH stuff and physical health stuff is a nightmare together.

Sounds like a nice day out, Beckie. I think I too might have needed to be bribed with food to move! Have you picked up your meds yet?

Hi, Tamo. Do you have any time/support to get some fresh air at the moment?

Hope you're nice and warm now, Dawn.

Cacoethes 19-02-2025 05:18 PM

Has it been a good busy day lindsay?

It was nice! Exhausting though!
Just waiting for my meds now
