I can see Beckie's pont Lindsay ... XD
Aviation fuel is expensive and maintenance is bound to cost as I don't know of many helicopter garages XD. That and you would need flying lessons!!!! Who knows how much those cost. Helicopters do sound fun though and much less traffic to deal with and definitely no cyclists!

Burger and chips is is apparently 2 minutes away. Ninja Lindsay! I have gone for a simple burger today just cheese onions and ketchup. Often have gherkins but not today.

Cacoethes 11-02-2025 07:43 PM

I am cooking chicken in bbq sauce with cheese and also rice! No pasta in sight! (I did suggest pasta though) XD

that's ridiculous lindsay. Honestly the people that make these decisions need to spend a few days with the services they are planning to cut! Maybe they'd change their tune.

Might be worth the helicopter costs to not deal with mental cyclists XD

one_step_closer 11-02-2025 07:51 PM

That's very different from what you usually make, Beckie! Sounds nice, I will be popping over for a second dinner!

Oh I do like gherkins too. Enjoy. :)

I have a small Easter egg for my 7.30pm snack. I've been on the Easter eggs for a while now!

not_so_insig 11-02-2025 07:52 PM

Hello all. I think I have worked out the confusing letter from the council. I think it's nothing to worry about and it's a letter they have to send by law out. They're not asking for any money. If they want me to do anything they'll send another letter out. Still confused by the PayPal email but there's no links in it so I think it's genuine. There's no spelling mistakes or anything that sounds scammy.

Cpn appointment went ok. I did a lot of talking. I get on very well with her Lindsay. Gave an card for mh nurses day because next time I see her it will be after the day. I only give cards to people that I like.

Cacoethes 11-02-2025 09:40 PM

I don't usually make dinner.
I have cooking anxiety! I CAN cook, but I worry I'll get it wrong. But L was feeling ill, so didn't want her cooking.

Easter egg! Yummy!
Easter chocolate just hits different

I'm feeding Colin Robinson for the first time tomorrow.
Have put a mouse in the fridge to defrost XD

Cacoethes 12-02-2025 07:05 AM

Morning everyone!

long road 12-02-2025 10:20 AM

Morning!

Cacoethes 12-02-2025 11:05 AM

Hey jen
Howre you doing?

long road 12-02-2025 11:43 AM

Not too bad. Tired but breathing seems a bit better than yesterday, hopefully improvement continues. Just come back to bed after doing meds and breakfast as not awake enough to stay up.

How are you?

Cacoethes 12-02-2025 11:53 AM

Fingers crossed
Hopefully the rest helps

I'm ok. We're just about to go to mini golf and lunch for our early valentines day. We're both working on actual valentines day so doing it today!
We exchanged presents and cards this morning :-D

I also fed Colin Robinson for the first time this morning! It was fascinating watching him eat tbh!
He fell off his shelf when he struck at the mouse XD

long road 12-02-2025 12:44 PM

Hope you enjoy your substitute valentine's day! Me and my partner tend not to celebrate it and focus on our anniversary instead. Partly because V Day is only 6 days before my birthday and partly because it's a lot easier to get restaurants etc not on V Day!

You and L are so cute <3

Sound alike having Colin Robinson is like having your our own nature documentary at home!

tamobhuuta 12-02-2025 01:32 PM

Good afternoon all. Alternative valentines sounds like a really good idea.

one_step_closer 12-02-2025 01:32 PM

Afternoon everyone.

I don't think I could deal with feeding a mouse to a snake! I hope you and L enjoy your day together.

I hope you can have a much better day today, Jen.

one_step_closer 12-02-2025 01:33 PM

Hi ninja Tamo! How are things with you?

not_so_insig 12-02-2025 02:58 PM

Afternoon all. I have been wild swimming. The water was 6 degrees today. Now trying to warm up with a coffee.

long road 12-02-2025 03:30 PM

Hey Tamo, Lindsay and Dawn! How are we all today?

I actually have a bit of a phobia around snakes, when I was little even rubber ones or seeing them on the TV ould really scare me. Not as bad now but always skip the reptile section at the zoo! Did manage to hold a snake once a few years back, so definitely more comfortable but.definitely couldn't own/ look after a snake.

Hope your coffee warms you up Dawn.

I am still doing fairly well breathing wise today. Lungs are starting to get a little grumpy this afternoon but been managing with inhaler and breathing exercises rather than needing to escalate to a nebuliser.

tamobhuuta 12-02-2025 03:43 PM

I'm ok thanks. Trying to behave myself until my mum visits at 5pm.

Ew at snake feeding!

long road 12-02-2025 03:52 PM

Hope you can manage to stay safe and enjoy your visit with your Mum Tamo <3

Cacoethes 12-02-2025 05:21 PM

It was really lovely thanks!
I won mini golf. I always do :-D
Then we went to prezzo, went to get some hay for the boys, went to asda and got L some new fish from pets at home.
I've also sewn up the pockets in my coat because there were massive holes in them, and all my stuff kept disappearing into the lining XD
Now trying to call the garage to sort some new tyres. Mine are looking a bit sketchy after a bad pothole. Not like 'fail an MOT' bad. But I drive on the motorway a lot, so I'd rather get it sorted ASAP than risk blowing a tyre somewhere dangerous!

Hope you enjoy your visit tamo!

Hopefully that will be enough to keep your lungs happy jen

one_step_closer 12-02-2025 07:04 PM

That sounds like torture, Dawn! I sometimes feel almost unbearably cold even when I'm in my house with the heating on!

I'm not keen on snakes but the edited photos with them wearing hats are kind of cute.

Hope you're doing ok, Jen.

I hope you are alright and had a nice visit with your Mum, Tamo.

Your money seems to be literally burning a hole in your pocket, Beckie! If you had money in your pocket that is.

I have just found a tiny bit of popcorn in my belly button.

long road 12-02-2025 07:20 PM

Glad you had in Beckie! My partner always wins mini golf... :plain:

Always pays to be cautious with things like tyres. They can be very much 'eh it will do' for ages and then suddenly it really won't do! That and this time of year you need grip more than in summer.

My lungs rudely woke me up from a nap and needed a nebuliser. They seem to be settling now only for my muscles to get all spasmy. Sigh... Still doing better than yesterday which is the main thing.

Were you saving the popcorn for later Lindsay XD

one_step_closer 12-02-2025 07:45 PM

Your body is being very unfair on you, Jen.

I will definitely not be eating anything I find in my belly button!

Cacoethes 12-02-2025 09:56 PM

I can see why people wouldn't like snakes.
But I find them adorable XD

Cars eat money! Even without repairs! Petrol, tax, insurance, the payment for the car itself...

I always end up finding popcorn in my bra, but bellybutton beats that! XD

Definitely best to be cautious with things like tyres!
And I'd be constantly checking and anxious about it!

Well that is very rude of them jen!
Hopefully they behave for the rest of the night

I'm feeling increasingly unwell, so going to attempt sleep. It didn't go too well last night!

long road 12-02-2025 10:02 PM

It takes all sorts to make a world and all animals deserve to be loved by someone. I like spiders but some people get super creeped out by them. Was known to rescue those afraid of them at school / work/ in shared housing

My body likes to misbehave. Has been fine since nebuliser though so fingers crossed. To be fair to it this is the first day of a lower steroid dose.

Hope you feel better in the morning Beckie!

Cacoethes 13-02-2025 09:29 AM

Morning everyone

long road 13-02-2025 12:20 PM

Morning!

Been awake for ages but not really awake if you get what I mean. Had a rubbish night sleep wise. Kept waking up due to spasms and then taking a while to settle again.

How are you Beckie? Is the illness any less annoying?

Cacoethes 13-02-2025 12:28 PM

Yeah I get that
Sorry you had a bad night

I feel like death tbh XD
Cleaned out the piggos because im at work tomorrow and Saturday and that wiped me out even more.
Got a psych appointment at 12:30. Tried to cancel, but they won't let me, but at least instead of face to face, it's a teams appointment.
Got to sort tyres also, and pick up meds.
L is off work because she also feels like ****. She went back to bed and is still in bed. Which is good. She needs rest.

long road 13-02-2025 01:13 PM

Looking on the bright side it's not the worst night's sleep I have had in the last week so I'll take it. Finally more awake. Coffee helped XD

Eurgh. Glad I can't catch germs through the internet :P

Pesky psych forcing you to still have an appointment when you are ill. It's like they don't trust you.... XD

Glad L is getting some rest, try and get some yourself!

one_step_closer 13-02-2025 02:11 PM

Afternoon everyone.

Sorry you and L aren't feeling great, Beckie. Be a total man and complain about everything, I find that helps a bit! I hope your psych appointment went ok.

Sorry you had a bad sleep, Jen. I'm glad your magical coffee has helped.

Cacoethes 13-02-2025 02:28 PM

Glad you can look on the bright side jen!

Thanks guys!
I am doing plenty of internal complaining XD

Psych appointment didn't happen. She was really late and I had to come and sort tyres. So I gave up waiting. She's just called and we had a chat and I'm seeing her on Tuesday.

How are you lindsay?

not_so_insig 13-02-2025 06:03 PM

Afternoon all. I have been to my hearing voices group today hence why I haven't been around. Now vaguely attempting to tidy up/clean.

long road 13-02-2025 06:42 PM

Evening everyone!

Have read but in a lot of pain so not really up to individual replies.

one_step_closer 13-02-2025 06:45 PM

It's so annoying when professionals say you have to speak to them at a specific time and then they aren't ready at that time. Does it suit you better to see her on Tuesday though?

I hope the group was helpful Dawn and you can get whatever you need done.

Sorry you're in pain, Jen. :( Have you taken any painkillers that you're allowed?

I am pretty pissed off at everything right now.

long road 13-02-2025 06:56 PM

Prescription and OTC painkillers taken with sadly little effect. When next dose is due probably going to take the higher dose of X mg of my prescription ones (which I am allowed) it causes more side effects so I usually try and manage with just Y mg dose but X mg is more effective

Cacoethes 13-02-2025 07:09 PM

Yeah, I'm not doing anything on Tuesday, so provided I feel better, it should be fine.

Sorry to hear that jen.
I hope it dies down soon

What's up lindsay?

long road 13-02-2025 07:12 PM

Hope Tuesday appointment work out Beckie.

Pissed off is valid Lindsay. Hugs?

Thanks for sympathy. It sucks but in a weird way is a good sign as it lower down the list of my body is freaking the **** out symptoms. Seizures are most freaked out. Least is probably just chronic fatigue. Various pain and other symptoms in between

one_step_closer 13-02-2025 07:54 PM

That's a lot to manage, Jen. I hope somehow you can find a balance that works for you.

I hope you feel better way before Tuesday, Beckie.

I guess pissed off is valid, I just don't like that emotion at all because it's one I find hard to deal with.

Hugs are always welcome.

Cacoethes 14-02-2025 09:03 AM

Morning everyone

long road 14-02-2025 10:34 AM

Morning!

How you feeling today?

Cacoethes 14-02-2025 11:21 AM

Morning jen!

Still rather rough but think I'm getting there
Did have to call in sick today though :(

How about you?

long road 14-02-2025 11:24 AM

Sucks having to call in sick. But I bet all the co-workers / customers you won't infect today will be grateful!

Compared to the last week, fairly good. Both asthma and FND are mostly behaving this morning. Just eating my breakfast and doing meds etc.

Cacoethes 14-02-2025 11:31 AM

True!

Good! Long may it continue!

long road 14-02-2025 11:54 AM

I jinxed myself and have ended up short of breath again. Managing it but it is rather annoying.

Cacoethes 14-02-2025 12:42 PM

Noooo!
Silly body

long road 14-02-2025 12:58 PM

My body needs to be put on a performance improvement plan it is not working in accordance with our contract XD

In all seriousness shortness of breath is annoying but at a manageable level.

Are you managing to rest at all or doing all the things despite being ill?

Cacoethes 14-02-2025 01:43 PM

Absolutely!

I went to lie down for a bit, but couldn't sleep and got bored.
I haven't done any things though!

long road 14-02-2025 02:02 PM

Lying down and just resting is boring unless sleep kicks in. Could you try lying down listening to music or a podcast or something? I find that helps me staying lying down a bit longer when I can't sleep as brain is distracted a bit

Well done for resisting doing ALL the things!

Cacoethes 14-02-2025 02:24 PM

L is back from shopping. So we're just listening to music and chilling. She's making lunch currently

Thank you! It is difficult!

long road 14-02-2025 03:02 PM

What music you listening to? I've been listening to Linkin Park and Mike Shonoda so far today.

Just had lunch myself and am currently watching some TV. Then when episode finishes going to try and nap if my lungs will let me.

one_step_closer 14-02-2025 03:12 PM

Afternoon everyone.

Be kind to yourselves Beckie and Jen. Sending healing vibes.
