I have never watched Taskmaster either, just remembered some people on here were fans and I keep seeing the junior one advertised.

Glad you had a nice time at Mass, Tamo.

nonperson 30-11-2024 12:25 AM

Ugh. Don't watch junior Taskmaster.....! Nothing was ever improved with the addition of children...

long road 30-11-2024 12:34 AM

A wild NP appears!

I agree JTM is not as good but I have run out of regular TM so it will do.

nonperson 30-11-2024 12:42 AM

Oh no! The wild np fled!

(But returns for the conversation...)

Hmm fair enough but generally a child version of adult stuff is *****. There just be something else to watch!

long road 30-11-2024 02:23 AM

Yay you returned! Sorry I got distracted!

Taskmaster is really good watch for me when I am having a bad day FND wise as it is easy to follow and in short chunks so fits my attention span and is funny too. Plus it's something both me and partner like and it's nice to have shows to watch together. As one of big things I like to watch are crime dramas/ detective shows and partner is not a fan!

We tried New Zealand Taskmaster but it felt like they were trying too hard / just a bad version of original. I think it's because host of New Zealand isn't funny enough and the assistant doesn't strike the right balance between funny and annoying. Although have only watched season 1 it might get better. Whereas on Junior Taskmaster TM is Rose Matafeo and assistant is Mike Wozniak so they get the spirit of the format even though obviously it has had to be made more kid friendl which makes it a little less good.

Cacoethes 30-11-2024 09:14 AM

Morning everyone

I hadn't even heard of junior task master!
I agree with np though, that the junior versions of thi gs are normally ****

tamobhuuta 30-11-2024 10:25 AM

one_step_closer 30-11-2024 07:54 PM

I'm glad you enjoyed it, Tamo. I've heard lots of people saying it's good. I saw the theatre version years ago.

I'm not too good but it's ok.

What are you doing with your evening?

tamobhuuta 30-11-2024 08:35 PM

What are people doing today? Me I am not up to much. Did anyone open their advent calendar today?

Cacoethes 01-12-2024 04:46 PM

Hey everyone!
We're back home from Norwich!

long road 01-12-2024 04:51 PM

Hey Beckie did you have a good time?

Sorry to hear people are struggling hugs available if wanted xx

I don't have an advent calendar but I did build a Christmas Lego set.

Cacoethes 01-12-2024 05:26 PM

We had a lovely time thanks!
Tired now though!

That sounds cool jen

I don't have an advent calendar.
With S around, they would not last long XD

one_step_closer 01-12-2024 07:05 PM

I ate my chocolate advent calendar through the night! Always do! I can't have chocolate in my house without eating it. But I have a Gorjuss calendar which I got a little notebook in today and a Micromallows calendar.

Glad you enjoyed yourself, Beckie. Do you have time to rest now?

What was the Christmas lego set like, Jen?

Cacoethes 01-12-2024 07:32 PM

That sounds like a great calendar lindsay!

Yes i do :)
Not at work until Wednesday.
Though I have 2 appointments tomorrow. And ice skating with L and S in the evening.
Appointment 1 is the colposcopy at 11am and then GP at 2:50pm.
Have to go to the hospital for the first one. Ugh. Parking there is so expensive!

one_step_closer 01-12-2024 07:44 PM

I hope your appointments go ok and you enjoy ice skating.

I don't think any of the hospitals here charge for parking. Although there are very few spaces.

tamobhuuta 01-12-2024 08:03 PM

Hospital parking is expensive here too.

I'm banned from carrying plates etc because I spasmed and broke another bowl.

long road 01-12-2024 08:41 PM

My Lego set is a Christmas train. A steam train pulling carts stacked with presents!

I have a hospital appointment tomorrow as well. The letter warns it could be up to 4 hours! So reckon I won't manage anything else.

That sucks Tamo. I have broken things due to spasms before.

Cacoethes 02-12-2024 09:59 AM

Morning everyone!

Good luck for your hospital appointment jen
Hope you're not kept waiting for too long

long road 02-12-2024 10:33 AM

Morning!

tamobhuuta 02-12-2024 10:51 AM

Morning Cacoethes and lr. Good luck for appointments!

Cacoethes 02-12-2024 11:26 AM

Thanks tamo!

How is everyone?

Parking was an absolute nightmare!
There were literally NO spaces in the overflow car park. But by a stroke of luck, I went to the very end and shouted (nicely) to a woman to ask if she was leaving, as she was walking towards her car and she was! So I managed to grab the space. Was the tightest space ever, but beggars can't be choosers XD

not_so_insig 02-12-2024 11:45 AM

Morning all. Hope people's appointments go well.

In Wales hospital parking is free. Though there's hardly any spaces at my local hospital and people park everywhere.

Cacoethes 02-12-2024 11:48 AM

Thanks dawn

How are you?

tamobhuuta 02-12-2024 11:53 AM

Hi insig how are you?

not_so_insig 02-12-2024 11:58 AM

I am boiling hot physically but not too bad so far mentally.

tamobhuuta 02-12-2024 11:59 AM

Not too bad is good! Why are you so hot?

not_so_insig 02-12-2024 12:08 PM

I am not sure tamobhuuta.

Cacoethes 02-12-2024 01:04 PM

My hospital appointment took less time than it took to find a parking space XD

not_so_insig 02-12-2024 01:09 PM

That's good that it didn't take hours Beckie.

Cacoethes 02-12-2024 01:38 PM

Yeah, i have lots to do today so couldn't be dealing with that!

Do you have much on today?

long road 02-12-2024 01:46 PM

Back from my appointment. The parking machines at my hospital were broken. It's ANPR though so going to go online to see if I can pay to avoid a fine. If I am lucky they will have no record we were there and so parking will be free!

Just had a pasty for lunch

Cacoethes 02-12-2024 01:51 PM

Fingers crossed jen!

long road 02-12-2024 03:08 PM

Online had a record so had to pay alas.

Cacoethes 02-12-2024 03:10 PM

How annoying!

I'm currently waiting for my click and collect shop
Shouldn't be too long hopefully!
