I'm not working this weekend, yay! I worked last weekend.

I've just finished work now, so that's what I've been up to today (I do 1 in 4 weekends, and then Monday to Friday, a 9 hour shift either 7:30-4:30, 9-6, 10:15-7:15 or 12-9)

I do neither! I just like making miniatures and I've found a few dollhouses being given away for free so I decorate them and they live half done (ADHD distraction!) in my spare room. I have 4, none of them have a completed room yet but I have made a mini sofa and I have a few box frames I've turned into mini individual rooms with chairs and books etc

All my evenings are the same just going online for a bit then watching TV then bed. I can't get out of my strict routine but I don't enjoy it.

That sounds really cool. I love miniature things and doll houses but wouldn't have the patience to do it as a hobby.

I'm pretty apprehensive about the pub lunch if I'm honest, its 3 of the girls I worked there with years and years ago (like, 2017) - one I last saw in April, the others it was January 2023. Since we've all last seen each other, one's got married, bought a house and got cats, one's had a child, the third one was already married - but she's had 2 promotions and is now a manager in a bank. They've all been with their partner/husbands at least 8 years.

I've had an ADHD diagnosis and a date for my assault court case and my young cat passed away. And I'm still single and alone. I have no good news to bring to it.

It's really hard to not compare lives with people.
But things aren't always as they seem on the outside with others. And as they say, comparison is the thief of joy.
Everyone does things at a different pace

It's not comparing though, it's "how are you?!" and they all have lovely and amazing and positive news, and I can't be part of that.

How's your evening been?

In other news, I didn't get the Chinese food; I was too warm and cosy after my bath to get out of my jammies into actual clothes and go out into the cold to then drive to get it.
