tamobhuuta 16-08-2024 06:48 PM

Hi insig how are you?

They let L stay with me while I had my dinner! So much for protected meal times!

Cacoethes 16-08-2024 09:52 PM

Thanks guys!
I did it to the best of my ability!
It's in the hands of the universe now (not that I trust it) XD

That's good tamo!
Protected meal times are silly

Cacoethes 17-08-2024 07:33 AM

Morning everyone

long road 17-08-2024 07:43 AM

Morning! Got a little bit more sleep last night which is nice.

How are you Beckie?

Cacoethes 17-08-2024 07:56 AM

That's good!
How are you feeling?

I'm ok thanks.
Was super tired last night but I think I got a decent sleep. Was expecting anxiety dreams because of work, but had none luckily!

long road 17-08-2024 08:26 AM

Bit short of breath but not too bad. Just taken steroids so zoomies will probably hit soon.

Glad you didn't have any anxiety dreams. I am sure you did a great job, you probably sleptt decent because you worked so hard!

Cacoethes 17-08-2024 08:29 AM

Glad you feel a bit better
Hope you can find time to attempt to rest today!

Thanks :)
They said they don't expect me to do everything perfectly the first time, and as long as the newspapers, food scan and locking up is done properly, they are the main things. And I did those. I was trying the back door so hard to make sure it was locked, it probably looked like I was trying to break in XD

long road 17-08-2024 08:32 AM

I will do my best to rest.

I remember the first time I locked up the office it was nerve wracking! And all I had to do was turn off the lights and lock the doors! Glad they are understanding and not expecting perfection straight away. Lol at looking like you were trying to break in while locking up XD

Cacoethes 17-08-2024 09:45 AM

Good!

It is terrifying!
It genuinely did! Was full on yanking the doors and twisting the handle XD
Luckily, the back door isn't visible from basically anywhere, unless someone from one of the other shops is out vaping/smoking.

tamobhuuta 17-08-2024 10:06 AM

Morning guys.

Well done on locking up Cacoethes!

Glad you got more sleep lr.

My dad is coming to see me this afternoon :)

Cacoethes 17-08-2024 10:18 AM

Thanks tamo!

That's good. Hope you have a nice visit!
Is he going to bring costa?

long road 17-08-2024 11:58 AM

Hope your visit with your Dad goes well Tamo :)

Hope your shift goes well Beckie (I think you said you start at 1pm again today) :)

I am a bit zoomy but feeling good vibes and enjoying listening to music.

Cacoethes 17-08-2024 12:36 PM

Thank you!
Yes I do start at 1pm. Just arrived and got my pre-shift drinks!

That's good. Just be careful!

tamobhuuta 17-08-2024 12:46 PM

Enjoyment and luck Cacoethes.

Don't overdo it lr.

I've got period pains and I asked the nurse for painkillers, he was like, you'll have to wait a bit. A bit???

Cacoethes 17-08-2024 12:49 PM

Hate it when they say 'in a bit!'
Keep reminding them. Guarantee they will forget!

long road 17-08-2024 12:50 PM

Am trying super hard to pace myself. Might still be zoomy but am at least a bit less agitated with it today.

Trying to get painkillers in hospital can take an age.... Hope the bit turns out to be a short one Tamo.

tamobhuuta 17-08-2024 01:04 PM

A female hca made me a hot water bottle from a squash bottle and went and told the nurse i needed painkillers immediately!

long road 17-08-2024 01:06 PM

#female solidarity

Good job that HCA!

one_step_closer 17-08-2024 01:28 PM

Hi everyone.

Hope your shift goes well, Beckie.

Hope the good vibes continue, Jen.

Having your period in hospital is horrible! Glad the HCA got on the case, Tamo.

long road 17-08-2024 03:38 PM

I managed to go to the garden centre for lunch. I had a roast dinner. Shattered now and feeling a bit more short of breath again but was so good to get out, especially after feeling too ill to go yesterday. I have even brought home a piece of cake to have as part of supper.

Nice to see you Lindsay, sending some o fthe good vibes your way.

Cacoethes 17-08-2024 04:42 PM

Glad the HCA is being decent tamo!

Hey lindsay! Up to much today?

I'm glad you managed to get out jen

Work is ok thanks. Busy but means it's going quickly!
A ridiculous amount of cages to go out though. Apparently it's never been this bad!

Ahimsa 17-08-2024 04:44 PM

My gorgeous Callie cat took her final breath in my arms yesterday, surrounded by love.

Cacoethes 17-08-2024 04:48 PM

I'm so sorry for your loss beth <3

one_step_closer 17-08-2024 06:03 PM

So sad, Beth. It's really hard to lose a pet but I'm glad at least you were there for her.

long road 17-08-2024 06:10 PM

Sorry for your loss Beth.

Going out to lunch might have been a mistake. Had asthma attack had to call paramedics and they have taken me to AMU.

tamobhuuta 17-08-2024 07:10 PM

Sorry for your loss Ahimsa *hugs*

I'm glad you got out and about lr but sorry a&e is necessary :(

long road 17-08-2024 07:25 PM

Actually on a ward the acute medical unit rather than A&E paramedics took me straight to ward. It's alright although not ideal.

not_so_insig 17-08-2024 07:38 PM

Hello all. Sorry I am not doing so good today so I have no energy to reply. But I have read and care about people's tough times. Sending love.

tamobhuuta 17-08-2024 07:49 PM

Ah that's better lr!

Hey insig.

long road 17-08-2024 08:11 PM

Thanks for love Dawn. Hope you feel better soon.

A bit calmer but less likelyhood of escape so a mixed bag.

Cacoethes 17-08-2024 09:58 PM

Hope you manage to get out asap jen!

Sorry you're not doing great dawn. We're here if you need us!

long road 18-08-2024 06:14 AM

Morning!

I have barely slept but it seems I am awake now.

Cacoethes 18-08-2024 09:01 AM

Morning!
Oh that sucks!
Are you still in hospital?

long road 18-08-2024 09:30 AM

Yeah. Up on the respiratory ward now. Waiting for whenever weekend ward round happens. I feel better than last night breathing wise but needed 2 nebulisers during the night so unsure if they will let me home today or not.

Hope work goes well today. Is today the 10:30am start?

tamobhuuta 18-08-2024 09:57 AM

Morning guys.

Sorry you're still in hospital lr, but good you're on the right ward!

long road 18-08-2024 10:12 AM

Hi Tamo! How are you today?

Just saw doctor and they are letting me go home. Usually because I needed nebulisers overnight they would make me stay in for 24 hours to be safe but because hospital makes my FND worse and my chest sounds ok now they are letting me go.

Now the endless wait for meds and discharge papers begins!

Cacoethes 18-08-2024 10:17 AM

Yep 10:30am start today. Then off until Friday!

Morning tamo. How are you?

I'm glad they're letting you go jen.
Hospital is not a vibe!

one_step_closer 18-08-2024 11:38 AM

Morning everyone.

Glad you're getting home, Jen. Hope they are surprisingly quick with sorting things out for a change.

How are you, Tamo?

Hope work is going well, Beckie and you enjoy your days off.

long road 18-08-2024 11:47 AM

Hospital is never a vibe. Still waiting around for now
Partner is here with me so as soon as have meds and paperwork we can scarper.

Hope your shift is going well Beckie.

Hey Lindsay how are you doing?

one_step_closer 18-08-2024 11:50 AM

Get your roller-skates on Jen for a super speedy departure!

I'm not good. Just trying to ignore myself because if I tried to get support from anywhere I would be dismissed.

long road 18-08-2024 12:04 PM

Think I wills stick to a wheelchair don't want to end up back in hospital due to a roller skating accident XD

Sending hugs if you would like them Lindsay. I think it's worth trying to seek support because not getting it because they dismiss you is almost the same as not getting it because you don't seek it. Although I get being dismissed can be disheartening.

one_step_closer 18-08-2024 12:23 PM

At least get your partner to (carefully) run while pushing the wheelchair!

Thanks for the hugs. It often makes me feel worse to be dismissed. Was about to phone Duty but decided not to.

Cacoethes 18-08-2024 12:58 PM

Thanks guys! Going ok so far.

Being dismissed is a horrible feeling, I remember it well. You can always reach out here, though I know it isn't the same <3

Roller skating probably isn't the greatest idea! XD

long road 18-08-2024 02:14 PM

My partner did indeed run while pushing the wheelchair. XD Have just made it to the car. So home soon.

I get that it could make you feel worse *shakes fist at Lindsay's CMHT*

tamobhuuta 18-08-2024 02:44 PM

I'm glad you're free lr.

Sorry you don't feel it's worth reaching out osc. Sending hugs if wanted.

I'm ok thanks. I'm glad your shift is going well.

one_step_closer 18-08-2024 03:50 PM

Glad your shift is going ok, Beckie.

Hope you can get comfy and rest and do something nice at home, Jen.

Glad you're ok, Tamo. Have you had any visitors today?

People who have spoken to my CPN on Duty say they find him dismissive too. It's hard not to have a supportive CPN when I don't really have anyone else.

tamobhuuta 18-08-2024 05:09 PM

Is it kind of nice to know it's not just you osc?

My mum visited this morning :) I might not get a visit tomorrow but she's going to try to come to my ward rounds on Tuesday.

one_step_closer 18-08-2024 06:02 PM

I hope she can come to your ward round and it is helpful to have her there.

No, it doesn't feel nice to know it's not just me. It shows he's not going to change.

tamobhuuta 18-08-2024 06:19 PM

Hmmmm. Maybe you can gently mould him into the cpn who would be helpful?

Edit
Is that the correct mould?

long road 18-08-2024 06:28 PM

Evening Friends!

Just woke up from a 3 hour post hospital nap. Probably more sleep than I got the whole of last night while in the hospital
