LJ, I know you wanna take the pain away, but it doesn't work does it? if it did we'd all cut once and be ok, but we don't once is never enough, the pain comes back and then its more and the cuts get worse. Please talk to us about whats hurting you, maybe we can help? *snuggles LJ tight*

well I know back in the early 90's dummy's were a fashion accessory...don't ask me why.....and a few of my friends at the time got hooked on them again. Reckon its probably something very natural deep down to give reassurance, so would kinda make sense. My best mate still sucks her thumb. I gave up my dummy when I was 2 and not gone back, but have this thing I do with rubbing my teddys ears and sniffing his head to comfort me. I've had Ted since my 1st birthday, I'm now 27 and I don't care that I still revert to childish ways sometimes, at least Ted loves me unconditionally and can soothe me.

Ah yeah! Sorry! Well if it is, then I'm weird cos I always have urges to use them and keep buying them! I tell people I collect them, but thats not the real reason!

oh my goodness, my godson calls his his dode, guess bit like doh-dee, just never heard anyone else call it that before.....sharing random info I know, but couldn't think of anything else at the time other than, these cookies are yummy, no takers? Thats ok, I'll eat them all, hahahaha!!!

What? I drink out of georges bottle if we're out and I'm thirsty, he's a lovely baby, often offers his bottle to random people. How come I can drink out of a bottle then?! Am I more of a freak than I first thought?! Have I found my party trick at last? lol

amanda you want a binki cos you obv are going through something right now and you want to feel the soothing comfort that you remember getting from a pacifier when you were younger. Its ok to want one, I reckon its ok to have one if it helps to calm you and will prevent you from SH.
