[Luna] 02-02-2017 09:21 AM

I found a place that looks like a good photography spot so I think I'll go check it out.

Buttons. 02-02-2017 09:28 AM

Sounds like an epic plan :)

not_so_insig 02-02-2017 09:33 AM

Someone has put my recycling bin on my doorstep. Usually they leave it outside the block of flats but this time it's inside. They have done it with my neighbours one too. The only other neighbour is incapable of doing so. So it's mighty strange. It's been emptied too.

Buttons. 02-02-2017 09:38 AM

That does seem odd lovely. Might have been someone doing a good turn hope that's the case x

not_so_insig 02-02-2017 10:02 AM

Just had pizza because I was hungry. I am in the middle of having a latte.

chinahorse 02-02-2017 11:36 AM

I agree with Katy someone was provably trying to be kind and helpful dawn.

Nom nom pizza. I'm hungry too but my favourite mug is in the dishwasher booo.
I also don't feel very well which sucks.

What's everyone up to today?

Cacoethes 02-02-2017 12:08 PM

Morning everyone!

I'm not feeling too well either :(
Feel sick and got a headache and it feels like my head is made of concrete!
Got maths exam today as well. Ugh!

chinahorse 02-02-2017 12:21 PM

I feel the same!

Good luck for your exam.

Cacoethes 02-02-2017 01:01 PM

Must be something going around. It sucks! Hope you feel better soon! Lots of rest and fluids!

Thanks :)

not_so_insig 02-02-2017 01:49 PM

The washing machine engineer has finished. I now have my washing in the machine.

It turned out to be my neighbour who put the box on my doorstep. She was returning the favour that I did last week.

chinahorse 02-02-2017 01:52 PM

Yay for a fixed machine!

Sketchy 02-02-2017 04:04 PM

Good afternoon all. Beckie I hope your exam goes well and you feel better soon. Good luck.

Wonderland. 02-02-2017 04:21 PM

Hoping all you ill people feel better soon :)

Bex, I'm sure the exam will go okay, make sure you treat yourself after!

Glad your washer has been fixed Dawn :)

Sketchy 02-02-2017 04:28 PM

Hi Amy, how are you?

chinahorse 02-02-2017 04:41 PM

Hi Amy :)

Sketchy 02-02-2017 04:43 PM

Hi Lillie. How are you?

Wonderland. 02-02-2017 05:10 PM

Hey you two :)

You guys been up to much today?

I'm okay, bit tired though.

chinahorse 02-02-2017 05:10 PM

I've been better. Just waiting for teas. Which is literally tea and biscuits. What're you up to?

Sketchy 02-02-2017 05:11 PM

Tea and biscuits are good. I'm having a tea in coffee shop.

Wonderland. 02-02-2017 05:29 PM

Tea is always good :)

I'm currently procrastinating all the things I should be doing. Go me!

chinahorse 02-02-2017 05:52 PM

Ooo coffee shop tea is the best.

Pokes Amy gently. Do the things.

We played bingo at teas. I didn't win.

Cacoethes 02-02-2017 06:00 PM

Hey guys. Hope you're all having a good day!

I finished the exam in 45 mins. The allowed time is 1 hour 30 mins so I finished pretty early!
I've been doing that with the test papers too.
I really hope I've done ok!
Feeling a little better physically. Well, I was then I got home and starting to feel more ill again which is weird!

Sketchy 02-02-2017 06:05 PM

Another exam finished Beckie. Well done! Sorry you feel rubbish though.

I'm just home from coffee shop. Before that I walked to Asda. I had to buy a smartish coat to match a dress I have for going out tomorrow. I managed to get one. I also took my rubbish out, so I've been a tiny bit productive.

Wonderland. 02-02-2017 06:10 PM

Bex I'm sure you've done good on it :)

Well done for going to all your exams, I know it's been anxiety provoking for you, so it's awesome you didn't avoid doing them!

Maybe get all snuggled up and warm, and fed. You've had a long day I imagine so be gentle with yourself.

Definitely sounds productive Lorraine :) lovely to buy yourself new stuff as well.

Cacoethes 02-02-2017 06:11 PM

Thanks! That's the last of the exams now :) for now at least. I may do my level 2 in June depending on whether I pass this one!

Sounds like you've had a good day Lorraine. Well done for getting out :)

Ninja post amy!!
Thanks :) I'm glad I sucked it up and did them!

Sketchy 02-02-2017 06:16 PM

You deserve to pass, after all your hard work. Definitely do something relaxing now.

I'm going to have a quiet evening since I'm going out for my dad's birthday tomorrow. I'm dreading it because I'm not a fan of restaurants, and it's in a busy area, so I think I'll be lazy tonight.

Wonderland. 02-02-2017 06:20 PM

Lorraine can plan ahead of time what you are going to have off the menu? I find knowing pretty much what I'm going to have takes a bit of the stress away if the place has a menu online. I hate sitting there trying to decide. I normally take something to fiddle with to when I'm going places that make me anxious.

Having a lazy night sounds a good plan :)

not_so_insig 02-02-2017 06:22 PM

I went for my usual walk around the park. Since then I have been on the bed for a rest. I was hoping to fall asleep but I didn't. Since the washing machine engineer left I have done two loads of washing and I have a 3rd in the machine. I am now catching up with the washing.

Sketchy 02-02-2017 06:24 PM

Good idea Amy. Thankfully I don't have to worry about choosing. I've seen the menu and there is only one vegetarian option, so I guess I'll be having that then. Something to fiddle with is a good idea too. Thanks.

Sketchy 02-02-2017 06:25 PM

Well done on going for your walk Dawn. I'm glad you got your machine fixed. You'll soon be up to date.

Wonderland. 02-02-2017 06:32 PM

Glad you managed to fit your walk in Dawn :) hopefully you'll be able to sleep tonight!

Oh thats easy for you Lorraine! You'd think these days more places would have more veggie options. I remember I went somewhere once that had one veggie option that I didn't like, so I ended up having to make a meal out of sides dishes! And that was only a few years back.

not_so_insig 02-02-2017 06:32 PM

Yes fortunately it's not too much because it was only Friday it wasn't working properly. It's just that because it's so small a drum and different colours that I can't put it all together. Also I deliberately put a small load the first time in case it wasn't working. Fortunately I can have it going to midnight so I will have the majority, if not all, of the washing done.

not_so_insig 02-02-2017 06:34 PM

Also fortunately I didn't run out of underwear.

Cacoethes 02-02-2017 06:35 PM

I'm not a vegetarian anymore but I agree that there really aren't enough veggie meals available at restaurants! You'd think by now they would have expanded the menus a bit!

Glad you got your washing sorted dawn.

Sketchy 02-02-2017 06:36 PM

Thankfully a lot of places in Glasgow have a good selection of veggie stuff. Just unlucky this place hasn't, but it saves me trying to decide.

Wonderland. 02-02-2017 06:42 PM

Yeah kind of worked in your favour this time :)

But yes definitely, it's not exactly hard to make many veggie dishes that are nice. When I was in rehab it was ridiculous the options for veggies most the time I ended up having jacket potato and salad, as you literally could not trust the chefs not to put meat in the veggie options, not that they even tried to make decent alternatives to the meat dishes. Apparently an acceptable alternative to spag bol is beans on toast that you have to do yourself. Like have a little imagination seriously!

Cacoethes 02-02-2017 06:47 PM

The veggie options were terrible in the secure unit. I was there for over a year so I ended up going back to meat during my stay!

Sketchy 02-02-2017 06:48 PM

There are so many possibilities with vegetarian food and so many yummy things. It's a shame some people can't use their imagination.

Wonderland. 02-02-2017 06:52 PM

That bad! Shouldn't really surprise me. Our chefs tried to claim that some chicken was quorn, when our rehab didn't even do quorn. And me and a hcw worked out that the soup they were making that was meant to be veggie, was made out of left over sauce (for instance pasta sauce) blended with left over soup from the day before. Lets just say after that day I never had the soup again. Was so so happy when I moved down to the 2nd ward where you made your own food, it was like heaven.

Cacoethes 02-02-2017 06:56 PM

That sounds awful amy!!
I think our veggie food was actually veggie, but the salads often had caterpillars in them which was gross and put me off salad for life!

Wonderland. 02-02-2017 06:58 PM

Yep indeed.

Ew thats gross!

Talking of food, I need food, nice food, with no caterpillars in them :)
Om nom nom.

Sketchy 02-02-2017 06:59 PM

Yuck, sounds like you both had bad experiences. When I was in hospital there was always a vegetarian option. Wasn't always nice though, but that's hospital food for you.

Cacoethes 02-02-2017 07:03 PM

Yeah, hospital food is a bit hit and miss!

I'm going to have porridge for dinner. Nothing else in the house! :p
Luckily I love porridge!

not_so_insig 02-02-2017 07:14 PM

Last time I was IP they had a veggie chilli which I had one day and I really enjoyed.

Wonderland. 02-02-2017 07:21 PM

Porridge is lovely, especially this time of year.

Yay for a good veggie chili :)

chinahorse 02-02-2017 07:23 PM

Porridge is the best.

I had rather special veggie curry sandwich filler today was awful. Luckily or not we cook dinner so it can be hit or miss but there is always a vegan and veggie option. As well as gluten free and meat options.

Cacoethes 02-02-2017 07:33 PM

Hope dinner is ok Lillie!
Veggie curry sandwich filler sounds a bit :ermm:

chinahorse 02-02-2017 09:56 PM

It was interesting yes. Dinner was also interesting.

What's everyone up to? I've just woken up from a nap.

Cacoethes 02-02-2017 10:14 PM

I hope it was edible at least!

I'm watching Brooklyn 99.
Shattered though so probably be going to bed soon!

chinahorse 02-02-2017 10:40 PM

It was much more palatable than last night yes.

Early night for you then!

I'm waiting for 10 o clock meds before sleep. I've had a 2 and a half hour nap and I'm still exhausted.
