Thanks Beckie. A man came into the waiting room after his procedure and said "they had to ram it down my throat." So that was great. I've been booked in. Just one person in front. I forgot how much I hate cannulas.

Aubergine - I've had an endoscopy and it was 100% fine for me. Don't remember it, only a little sore throat after, and I was completly fine after the sedation! Don't worry, 90% of the time it goes without any problems.

I am going to rest and make J do everything because I am sooooore and have had a medical procedure lol. I know it's just a basic one, but having problems with your connective tissue makes things to much more painful and difficult and complicated.

Oh and the *DR* asked if I have been taking collegen supplements. Like, seriously, you have a medical degree. How can you not understand that taking collagen supplements will make my body produce more faulty collagen, because it is my effing DNA. Silly man.

What will you do? Are you watching any new boxsets or netflixes?

I'm glad it went ok. All over and done with now!

I disappeared off to do some food shopping to last me a few days.

Yup! All over and done with. They did find a small ulcer, but said that it should clear up if I continue the high doses of stomach meds that I'm on for the next six weeks. It works out at 8 pills a day, on top of my usual 11, so I was hoping to stop them. Hopefully after the six weeks it won't be quite so many!



How did food shopping go?

Wow that's a lot of pills. =o

Food shopping was ok, bought a load of rubbish and they'd annoyingly moved all the aisles around!

Too many when I hate taking the bloomin' things as it is! Keep talling myself it's only temporary.


Oh that is annoying. IF only you live somewhere you could shop online!

Are you feeling alright after the sedation?

I can get food deliveries (it's only takeaways that won't/can't deliver!) but I dunno, I'm not very sure about food shopping online.

I was feeling OK until I took m night meds and now I feel a bit weird. My night medication is sedative too though, so that's porbably why. Oh well. At least I should sleep. Just have to not fall over!


What make's you unsure about it? It's brilliant. I don't have to go into supermarkets!

Maybe get yourself somewhere comfy so if you do fall it'll be soft!

I dunno, I don't really like people coming to the house for deliveries... One of the things I was quite adamant about when living alone again was that I wouldn't do online food shopping so that it would force me to actually leave the house at least once a week, other than going to work.

I'm in my bed! I need to get up to go to the loo but it's a bit beond me right now. I signed a form to agree to stay with someone for 24 hours, but I would have had to stay at my Mum's and I just couldn't. So I lied a bit. I'm better in my own flat though - the bed in Mum's spare room is awful and I never sleep well in someone else's space. I like my own bed. I like to be on my own. :P


Ah, I see. That makes sense. I guess I'm quite lucky in that I'm out a lot when I'm well. It's a good idea to make you leave the house for some other reason than work.

Well make sure you check in here too so we know you're still alright.

I still hate it though, but some days it just bothers me more than others. I don't want to "give in" and do it online. Plus I quite like the drive and having music on.

Driving with music sounds good. :) You do amazingly not to give in. I know what you mean about wanting to push yourself to carry on. My Mum takes me for drives when I'm anxious. The motion is what does it, I think!
