not_so_insig 22-03-2018 02:13 PM

I am having pizza later plus dip.

chinahorse 22-03-2018 02:15 PM

Set a mtach to it NP? Be quicker :-P

nonperson 22-03-2018 02:15 PM

Oooooh, pizza.

I am going really...

nonperson 22-03-2018 02:15 PM

Ha, tempting! Want to leave a few pieces intact though. ;-)

Cacoethes 22-03-2018 02:20 PM

Everyone is talking about going to a restaurant for one of the girl's birthdays next week.
I am the only one not invited.
This is awkward

chinahorse 22-03-2018 02:23 PM

Oh Beckie :/ an you try and change the subject? There could be a 100 reasons why but yeah not helpful.

not_so_insig 22-03-2018 02:25 PM

Awww that sucks Beckie. We want you!

Seriously I have had that happen so I know how you feel.

chinahorse 22-03-2018 02:30 PM

Have you got English later? Could you try and chat about that? Or maybe theyd love to hear about Jasmine singing mabob last night?

Cacoethes 22-03-2018 02:34 PM

The subject changed thankfully!
It was a bit upsetting tbh and I am not easily upset!

Thanks Dawn! :)

Its just like, theyve even invited the people they bitch about

chinahorse 22-03-2018 02:41 PM

Ouch Beckie, thats a hard one. Unless you want to ask her why theres nothing you can do sadly. Maybe theyve seen you struggling and don't want to put pressure on you? Whatever the reason it hurts though.

My body is an idiot It wanted food, I fed it and now it feels more ill. Grrr.

Cacoethes 22-03-2018 02:43 PM

It is what it is
Just gotta get over it

Oh no Lillie :(

Aubergine 22-03-2018 03:59 PM

Hey.

I have a stomach bug. Either that or it's anxiety being a troll. Bleurgh!

nonperson 22-03-2018 04:28 PM

Oh no. Stomach bugs suck. Maybe it's just a mild bug being made much worse by anxiety?

I'm taking a break from gardening and having a look at my new book that arrived today. Or... I should actually say "books" because it turns out I preordered it twice without realising!

Aubergine 22-03-2018 04:42 PM

Hooray for books! What book?

Yeah, I think you could be right. Yuck. Have taken myself back to bed.

nonperson 22-03-2018 04:46 PM

Paradise Gardens by Monty Don. He did a TV series recently and I liked it so ordered the book.

Aw, get some rest. Might not be able to do much for the stomach bug but is there anything you can do to improve the anxiety?

Aubergine 22-03-2018 04:57 PM

Oh cool. :) Sounds interesting! How's the gardening going?

I'm watching a comfort TV programme. :)

nonperson 22-03-2018 05:02 PM

It is interesting, it's about the origins of gardens in Iran and India and in Islamic culture, etc. Did a project about it at college many moons ago and found it fascinating then. =)

The garden's getting there. Looking much neater already... but still loads to do.

What's your comfort TV programme? Finding Nemo always used to be my comfort film when ill!

not_so_insig 22-03-2018 05:27 PM

I have been for my walk around the park at the bottom of the road. It was good.

nonperson 22-03-2018 05:32 PM

Glad you had a nice walk. =)

Has anyone watched Spy in the Wild on BBC2? It's the first time I've seen it and I'm lol-ing at an elephant dung pile spy camera... that deploys mini dung ball cameras to capture extra elephant action!

nonperson 22-03-2018 05:32 PM

Ah, Dawn, of course! =D

not_so_insig 22-03-2018 06:00 PM

No I haven't seen that programme nonperson. I am half watching flog it waiting for my pizza to cook.

nonperson 22-03-2018 06:05 PM

It's quite strange! They've hidden cameras in realistic looking animals. Like a camera puffer fish to film dolphins. And bigger things like camera penguins that can move and right themselves if they get knocked over by the other real penguins. Very hi-tech stuff.

nonperson 22-03-2018 06:06 PM

And it's David Tennant narrating it. =)

chinahorse 22-03-2018 06:06 PM

Haha the image of that camera is awesome!!

Oooo glad the book has come NP. Do you know anyone else you could give the other to as a gift?

I managed to get most of my jobs done and accidentally bought myself a panda soup mug with a tupperware too. But the lady at the till pointed out I'm not even lying as t is my birthday too :-P

And cheered myself up having a right giggle at the cards in Clinton. Now need to rest and recuperate.

Any dvd player recommendation? Like the actual player. Might ask my dad for money towards one.

nonperson 22-03-2018 06:11 PM

I was going to send it back but it's going to cost £3.99 to do that! Thought returns were free.... Feel even more stupid for double ordering it now. =/ Someone at work might like it..!

It's your birthday today?!

I have a Samsung DVD player, it's pretty good and not too expensive (?).

chinahorse 22-03-2018 06:15 PM

Maybe put it one of the local for sale boards on fb or soemthing?

Nah we've 4 days of being young-ish left :P

Hmm, I see. I have a samsung phone and that is fairly legit.

nonperson 22-03-2018 06:19 PM

I have a Samsung tv as well which is why I went for the dvd player too. That was on recommendation from my dad!

chinahorse 22-03-2018 06:20 PM

Ah see I have a Telefunkun tv....

nonperson 22-03-2018 06:21 PM

A Telewhatnow? o.o

chinahorse 22-03-2018 06:23 PM

Don't go knocking telefunken. He does a splendid job most of the time and the rest he tries hard. He was an on a deal and on amazon and I had a voucher and only paid 30quid of legit money for choice.

nonperson 22-03-2018 06:25 PM

I'm not knocking it/him! Just never heard of it before. =P

Can't argue with a 30 quid tv!

chinahorse 22-03-2018 06:30 PM

Not even my mate who used to sell electricals has heard of him lol

chinahorse 22-03-2018 06:31 PM

Did you get much done in the garden?

not_so_insig 22-03-2018 06:32 PM

I would go for a hackable dvd player so that you can buy dvds from around the world. You can find out if it's possible by searching the model name and number on Google followed by the word hack.

nonperson 22-03-2018 06:33 PM

Some, not loads. Finished weeding and cutting back one flowerbed... and then I took a quick break and have been sat here ever since (for like 2 hours...!) Now wondering if I've got time to quickly prune a shrub before it gets too dark...!

chinahorse 22-03-2018 06:35 PM

Thanks for the tip, I only buy legit dvds though.

Well if you run you may NP but it is cold and by any luck the garden fairies may do it overnight if you leave. I mean didn't work for my washing up but the garden ones are known to be nicer.

nonperson 22-03-2018 06:37 PM

I think the garden fairies must hate me... They've never helped before and I swear they use their magic to make the lawn grow impossibly quick!

I only buy dvds that are legit. Normally if you buy a dvd from America it won't play in the UK because dvds are coded into regions. We are region 2 america uses region 1. The only way to get around is to hack the dvd player.

chinahorse 22-03-2018 06:41 PM

Oh I see. I don't buy anything that wouldn't play on a normal machine though.

Dang it! The housework fairies don't like me much either if thats any consoloation NP.

chinahorse 22-03-2018 07:06 PM

Reasons not to get a bright pink dvd player?
Apart from the fact so far my house is rather grown up looking!

nonperson 22-03-2018 07:25 PM

Do it!

not_so_insig 22-03-2018 08:13 PM

Yes Papa John's delivers to me.

chinahorse 22-03-2018 08:19 PM

Nom pizza!

I need to get off the argos website, keep seeing things I like.

zombiehunter 22-03-2018 08:31 PM

who saw in the news about the big fire in Glasgow today

chinahorse 22-03-2018 08:34 PM

No, didnt come onto my local or national news.

nonperson 22-03-2018 08:35 PM

My news reporter at the scene told me about it. =P

zombiehunter 22-03-2018 08:45 PM

well it's a pretty ****ing big fire, when I got home I could still see the smoke

nonperson 22-03-2018 08:46 PM

Google said it could be asbestos...! Hope you didn't breathe any in...

chinahorse 22-03-2018 09:06 PM

Oh the news update said about it, looks nasty
