It was indeed. How boring it is being and adult. I'll probably still do the same when I start my Italian classes though. My dad will be ashamed of me, haha.

Cacoethes 09-01-2017 10:10 PM

Haha! It has to be done :p

It is boring being an adult. With all the responsibility and stuff!

Sketchy 09-01-2017 10:14 PM

I still havent got used to this adult thing.

Cacoethes 09-01-2017 10:21 PM

Me neither. I still feel like I'm pretending!

Cacoethes 09-01-2017 10:41 PM

Off to bed now. Night night and sleep well!

Sketchy 09-01-2017 11:38 PM

Good night Beckie. Sleep well.

Cacoethes 10-01-2017 10:40 AM

Morning everyone. Got to leave for college soon. Ugh!

Buttons. 10-01-2017 11:00 AM

Morning!

Have fun with college :P I'm having a lazy day hopefully so the rest of my semi chaotic week I should have a bit more energy to get everywhere I need to be!!

Cacoethes 10-01-2017 03:18 PM

College was ok apart from I forgot about all the homework! But so did everyone else so it's fine :p
In Costa now. Seeing mum and Jasmine after school so my bus isn't until 3:37. Got a lot of time to kill. Might go for a wander around primark (dangerous!)

Lazy day sounds good Katy! You need those sometimes!

Buttons. 10-01-2017 04:30 PM

Haha the temptation of Primarni!!! Hope you have a fab time with your mum and Jasmine-sure you will!!! If you haven't sacrificed every penny you own in Primark (probably what I'd end up doing) :P

Definitely need one today!

Lorraine I have been trying to teach myself Italian for a while now. My psych is Italian but my pronunciation must be spot on because he understands me. I practice my Italian with him. But his English is better than my Italian. I got an a in gcse for French, had a b in Welsh and have a qualification in Spanish so I have always found foreign languages easy. My local college does Italian night classes but due to the fact that there's no buses after 6.30 pm and I can't drive means I can't do it. My ambition is to do an gcse in Italian.

Buttons. 10-01-2017 05:46 PM

^ Sounds like you have a skill for languages :)

Frustrating about the buses though.

not_so_insig 10-01-2017 05:56 PM

Yes there used to be one but the bus company went into administration last year and nobody has taken the route over. We also have no Sunday or bank holiday service.

My psych cleared me to start driving again last month so I am waiting for my driving licence to arrive from the dvla. Once I pass my test and have my own car then I will do the night class.

Buttons. 10-01-2017 05:58 PM

Believe me understand the public transport issues and accompanying stress, it's really good that you will be able to drive soon though-always a silver lining!

not_so_insig 10-01-2017 06:02 PM

Yes as I have been banned for 10 years I can't wait. Actually it was my replacement cpn (my regular cpn is off sick) that suggested asking my psych. I must be getting better to be cleared to start driving again.

Sketchy 10-01-2017 06:17 PM

Sounds like you are good at languages Dawn.

How is everyone?

Buttons. 10-01-2017 07:18 PM

The new driving situ sounds like such a positive thing :)

I'm bit stressed but surviving how about you Lorraine?

Sketchy 10-01-2017 07:52 PM

Sorry you are stressed. You want to talk about it?

I'm ok. Having a lazy day.

not_so_insig 10-01-2017 08:41 PM

I am stressed because I messed up my cooking and I set off the smoke alarm. Even the neighbour knocked on the door to see that I am ok. Took ages for the alarm to stop and also took 3 windows open for it to stop. On top of that I couldn't find the salad so I had to have it without.

Cacoethes 10-01-2017 09:04 PM

Hi everyone.

I managed not to buy anything from primark!! :p

Sounds like you have a talent for languages dawn! That's a great talent to have!

Smoke alarms are awful!

Sketchy 10-01-2017 09:25 PM

That does sound stressful Dawn. Hope you are ok.

Well done not shopping Beckie.

Cacoethes 10-01-2017 09:31 PM

Thanks Lorraine!
How's your day been?

Sketchy 10-01-2017 09:34 PM

Very lazy, but that's ok. Tomorrow will be more productive. I think I needed a lazy day. How has your day been?

not_so_insig 10-01-2017 09:53 PM

Thanks everyone. I feel stressed even now. The teabag split and the tassimo machine is playing up so that's adding to my stress. Then I couldn't find the biscuits. I was fine until I went in my kitchen.

Cacoethes 10-01-2017 10:10 PM

Lazy days are good sometimes Lorraine, sometimes very much needed! :)

Sorry you're feeling stressed still Dawn. Hopefully things will go a bit more smoothly for the rest of the evening!

Buttons. 11-01-2017 05:50 AM

Hope things calmed down for you Dawn, it's hard when you have those days where things just don't seem to go right.

I have to try and get some food in that isn't pasta or soup :P and then have an appointment re. rehab/detox which I anticipate either going really well or (much more likely in my mind at least) very very badly.

Hope everyone has a good day :)

Cacoethes 11-01-2017 02:11 PM

I hope your appointment goes well Katy. Have my fingers crossed for you! X

I got up at like 12pm. Oops!
Got to go to asda as per usual!

Sketchy 11-01-2017 03:49 PM

Katy, I hope your appointment goes well.

Beckie, I hope Asda isn't too busy. I hate it when Asda is busy.

I'm in my local coffee shop, again! I was going to stay in bed but I forced myself out, plus I need to pick up meds.

Cacoethes 11-01-2017 04:14 PM

Asda was pretty quiet today luckily!

I'm glad you managed to get out Lorraine :) I know how hard it can be sometimes.

not_so_insig 11-01-2017 04:25 PM

It's so windy here. Thankfully my dish is working so I can watch telly. They have forecast snow for high parts tomorrow and friday so that means I will get it. Looks like I will have to forfeit my weekly walk in the park tomorrow.

Cacoethes 11-01-2017 04:29 PM

It's really windy here too.
I think my area is supposed to get snow on Friday.
I hope not. Everything grinds to a stop when there's snow!

not_so_insig 11-01-2017 04:38 PM

The buses don't run through my village when the snow is bad or it's icy due to the fact that it's just the side of a mountain. Nowhere is flat not even my flat! It's built at a slight angle. If you want to go to town you have to walk to the next village and even then if it's really bad the buses stop running. Fortunately I always keep a good stock of food for such an occasion in the winter.

Cacoethes 11-01-2017 04:56 PM

That sounds like a pain!!
I haven't experienced snow in this area before but it's all very flat here! Where I used to live, the buses were actually quite good during the snow. There was only one day where the buses stopped and it was basically a blizzard that day!

Buttons. 11-01-2017 04:58 PM

Windy here as well-love our weather :P

Cacoethes 11-01-2017 05:27 PM

The wind is a pain in the arse when you're trying to smoke. I keep nearly accidentally setting my hair alight!

Sketchy 11-01-2017 06:27 PM

That's not good Beckie. Scary.

It's windy and raining here. I went for a walk in a moment of madness, but I'm so glad to finally be home.

Sketchy 11-01-2017 06:30 PM

I just checked the weather for up here. Looks like there could be snow soon. Not really a surprise. If there is snow, chances are Scotland will get it.

Cacoethes 11-01-2017 07:20 PM

Whatever bad weather we have here its bound to be worse in Scotland!!

I've just tried to do an assessment paper for maths.
I did half of the first question. Not a clue about the rest of it. I am 100% going to fail which is kinda annoying.

Sketchy 11-01-2017 07:23 PM

Is there anyone who can help you with it Beckie? I'm hopeless at maths.

Pi.R^2 11-01-2017 07:34 PM

*glides in*
Give me a yell if you want some help with the maths Beckie!
Hope everyone's day is going ok!
*glides out*

Sketchy 11-01-2017 07:36 PM

Hi Jenna. I hope you are well.

Wonderland. 11-01-2017 07:42 PM

I always did awful on past papers, but somehow seemed to do okay on the real thing. Hopefully your teacher can help with the bits you struggled with.

Sketchy 11-01-2017 07:44 PM

Amy's right (hi Amy), you may do better on the real thing. Perhaps you are getting too stressed to concentrate on it just now. Why don't you do something to relax before you attempt again.

Cacoethes 11-01-2017 07:49 PM

Thank you Jenna! :)
I'm going to ask my tutor tomorrow what I should do/focus on so I may be needing your assistance soon Jenna!

Hello amy! Fingers crossed that's the case!

That's a good idea Lorraine. A big part of it is anxiety. It just seems that I can do well in a class and then as soon as I step outside the classroom, it's all gone!

How are we all anyway?

Wonderland. 11-01-2017 07:50 PM

I think a massive thing which sounds really simple (and applies to all exams) is to read all questions properly. Loads of people make mistakes due to rushing through and not reading questions properly or rechecking it once finished. I made a massive boob on one of my french exams and wrote the whole thing in English when I was meant to answer in french or vice versa simply because I misread the instructions on the front.

Sketchy 11-01-2017 07:55 PM

Good advice by Amy.

Do something nice to relax, like a bubble bath or cooking something yummy. It's important to take breaks and do things for yourself.

I'm ok. I managed to turn a bad day into a productive day, which I'm pleased about, even if it did mean walking in the rain. Tomorrow will be another walk, but I might get the train to somewhere different for a change.

Cacoethes 11-01-2017 07:59 PM

That's good advice amy. Thank you :)

I cooked my favourite meal this evening which was nice.

That's really good Lorraine :)
Going somewhere different sounds nice. Nice to have a change of scenery once in a while!

Sketchy 11-01-2017 08:01 PM

I'm deciding between one of the many parks we have or a walk along the Clyde river. The Clyde walk is a nice one and I haven't done it in a while. Plus there are plenty of places to stop off for coffee.

Wonderland. 11-01-2017 08:07 PM

The river sounds lovely Lorraine :)

Cacoethes 11-01-2017 08:09 PM

It does sound lovely!
I wish there were cool places to walk around here!
