Thats annoying lillie. Are the towels going to be done soon?

You need to tell those carers off katy!

I got a call from my carer person becuase they turned up and i was still in london.
I did try to call them before but no one was picking up!
I need to do some washing tomorrow.

Eska 16-07-2017 09:08 PM

Beckie maybe you should have suggested your carer person go and see Katy instead!

Buttons. 16-07-2017 09:13 PM

Ha ha poa!

No two days ago I got a bit angry and upset because an evening worker refused to help me and said evening staff couldn't help with a fairly vital part of personal care and after calmly finding out there was no alternatives to their help was like well wtf do I do with that??? They haven't been back since. So yeah probably my fault for losing my temper. Haven't heard anything via day staff or anything so...mystery!

Cacoethes 16-07-2017 09:26 PM

Haha!

Wtf?! You are completely within your rights to get pissed off at that!
What a load of crap!!

Im off to bed.
Night night all!!

Buttons. 16-07-2017 09:33 PM

Hope you get a good night's sleep!

not_so_insig 16-07-2017 09:40 PM

I have a radar key because I suffer from incontinence. I try and use the regular loo where possible but if the queue is really bad then I literally can't wait. I also have a toilet card. I had to buy it online because my council have decided that only people with enhanced mobility pip qualify to buy it from themselves. Been as I don't get any mobility for pip I don't qualify.

I was desperate for the loo in rural Wales and though I found a public loo it was shut. Fortunately my key worked. Also the local caffe nero has had to put a key code on the loo and a radar lock on the disabled loo due to misuse. Trouble is that they are giving out their radar key to everyone under the sun now so it saves me asking each time I want to use the loo in there.

That is in my view ridiculous, it's this stupid so called 'invisible' illnesses getting ignored thing, and also not even everyone with a very obvious physical disability gets High rate PIP mobility, I myself am still waiting on a decision whether to up it to that.

chinahorse 16-07-2017 10:19 PM

PIP is ridiculous anyway. I got 0 points when I'm in a tier 4 mental health service.

I hate having to take my meds at the hatch again. It's so degrading.

Buttons. 16-07-2017 10:22 PM

Agreed PIP is a joke.

I'm sorry you're having to do that love *hugs*

chinahorse 16-07-2017 10:31 PM

Thanks lovely hopefully it won't be for too long.

Buttons. 16-07-2017 10:34 PM

Fingers crossed. And at least you're still there, although I do appreciate it's tough.

chinahorse 16-07-2017 10:41 PM

Thanks :)

not_so_insig 17-07-2017 12:32 PM

Afternoon all.

Shy_Bambi 17-07-2017 12:57 PM

I've never watched Game of Thrones!! I feel like I'm missing out *cries*

Good afternoon all!!

Cacoethes 17-07-2017 01:50 PM

Hey guys!
I passed my driving theory test! :-D
Im now sitting under a bush, hiding from the sun, waiting for my driving instructor!

Shy_Bambi 17-07-2017 02:32 PM

Yay!! Congrats Beckie!! :D I mean, it was obvious you would do it!!!

Boo for the sun though. I thought we'd seen the last of it *shakes fist*

Cacoethes 17-07-2017 04:17 PM

Thank you! :)

The sun is awful!
I've had my driving lesson so ive retreated back into the safety of my nice cool house!

chinahorse 17-07-2017 04:48 PM

Congrats beckie :)
How did your lesson go?

Cacoethes 17-07-2017 04:57 PM

Thanks Lillie :)
The lesson was great thanks!
I drove round a big scary town with roundabouts and dual carriageways and buses and really really weird turnings and then tiny windy country lanes!
But i did well!

How are you Lillie?

chinahorse 17-07-2017 05:11 PM

That's great beckie sounds like you're making great progress.

I'm a bit down because of a certain situation but feeling more alive after my nap. I declined to go on a walk thpugh which is making me feel guilty.

Cacoethes 17-07-2017 05:16 PM

Instructor has said to book my test for the end of August which is rather soon but he says I'll def be test ready by then!
And he recommend the 7:30am test because the roads are much better so will book it when i have the funds! Its
so expensive!

Im glad the nap helped.
If you didn't feel up to going then that's ok.
It is very hot today so i wouldn't want to go for a walk!

chinahorse 17-07-2017 05:31 PM

Wow you've progressed so quickly.

I just couldn't be bothered. It is deceptively hot outside today.

What's your evening plans?

Sketchy 17-07-2017 05:33 PM

Well done Beckie. You are doing so well.

Cacoethes 17-07-2017 05:35 PM

Yep. He said he wishes all his students were like me! :p

It is very hot. I dont blame you for not wanting to go.

I just have to shower and have dinner.
How about you?

Thanks lorraine!

Sketchy 17-07-2017 05:36 PM

It's so warm here too. It's going to be sunny and warm tomorrow, so I'll be going to the beer garden with my sister.

Cacoethes 17-07-2017 05:41 PM

Sounds like a plan!
Im going to my mum's tomorrow afternoon to deliver Jasmine's scooter. I cant wait to see her face!!

Sketchy 17-07-2017 05:43 PM

I'm sure she will love it. It's a fun gift.

Cacoethes 17-07-2017 05:46 PM

Shes wanted one for a while. All the kids have them now and they ride them to school!
It was expensive but it changes height so the age range is 5-12 years so she'll hopefully get many years of use out of it!!

Sketchy 17-07-2017 05:49 PM

That's good it's adjustable. I had a scooter as a kid and I loved it. It was a bmx/scooter type thing that was all the rage back then.

Cacoethes 17-07-2017 05:52 PM

I had a scooter i bought with my birthday money at about 9 years old? It was a micro scooter.
I got it from woolworths!! Showing my age there :p

Sketchy 17-07-2017 05:55 PM

Ah Woolworths! The good old days. I loved their pick and mix.

Cacoethes 17-07-2017 05:57 PM

That was probably the best thing about woolworths!
You could get absolutely anything and everything in that shop!!

Sketchy 17-07-2017 06:02 PM

I want a pick and mix now, but thankfully I'm eating something else. I'm in my local coffee shop for dinner, which is opened late. Jacket potato and cheese.

Cacoethes 17-07-2017 06:33 PM

Good choice! Nice comfort food, jacket potato!

Sketchy 17-07-2017 06:38 PM

It was really good and after spending most of the weekend hiding in bed I'm glad I made it out for a bit. I'm having an irn bru then heading home.

What are you up to?

Cacoethes 17-07-2017 06:46 PM

Well done for making it out :)

Ive showred and had dinner so im chilling with torchwood and I've wrapped Jasmine's scooter.

not_so_insig 17-07-2017 06:47 PM

I have irn bru on my shopping list. Hopefully it will be delivered tomorrow.

I am going swimming tomorrow. Last one for a while due to school holidays.

Cacoethes 17-07-2017 07:04 PM

I keep meaning to look for irn bru!
Hope you enjoy swimming dawn!

Shy_Bambi 17-07-2017 07:11 PM

My mum's friend just came and picked up her cat that we've been looking after. It's a bit sad, it was nice to have someone else around the house but I'm glad he's back home now
My mum's doing a (healthy) stirfry now yum

I'm sure she'll love the scooter Beckie!!
Hope you have a good time swimming Dawn!
Boo to school holidays!

Cacoethes 17-07-2017 07:16 PM

Stir fry sounds yummy!!
I should do one soon. They are nice and healthy as well as tasty!

Sketchy 17-07-2017 07:28 PM

I'm home now. Bought some mango to snack on later.

Cacoethes 17-07-2017 07:32 PM

Mmm mango!
Have you got anything planned for the evening Lorraine?

Sketchy 17-07-2017 07:35 PM

Apart from washings I'm just going to relax. I need to accept that I get fatigue and it's ok to take it easy since I at least made it out the flat today. I have a busy day tomorrow with my sister. We're going for a walk, having lunch then staying at hers afterwards. Ok that's not that busy, but for me it is just now.

Have you any plans?

Cacoethes 17-07-2017 07:42 PM

That sounds quite busy to me!
It is absolutely ok to take it easy and it's good that you can see that :)

Nope. I got all my washing done earlier so I'm just watching torchwood now.
Might have a snack because I'm still hungry!

Sketchy 17-07-2017 07:49 PM

I haven't seen torchwood in years. I think my sister has some on DVD. I must borrow them sometime. We've been watching the classic doctor who dvds, because she has a massive collection of them. We'll be doing that tomorrow. After we've been to the beer garden of course.

What are you going to snack on?

Cacoethes 17-07-2017 07:51 PM

Im watching the miracle day season.
Its my favourite one.
Sounds like you have a really good time with your sister!

Im.going to have a chocolate and fudge alpen light bar i think!

Knee-Socks 17-07-2017 07:52 PM

Your sister is lucky, I love the Classic Doctor Who. I really need to catch up on the current seasons still.

Shy_Bambi 17-07-2017 07:54 PM

Mango is lush, but I will never understand how to get the fruit away from the stone! So difficult!!

I might watch all the doctor who episodes on iPlayer later. I'm going to miss this doctor a lot!
