clubbercise looks like a lot of fun! I think because it's in a darkened room I'd feel better going there. Too bad there's none near where I live!

Wonderland. 04-04-2017 06:29 PM

It's always scary first time you go, but that feeling will go away and get easier. And most people join classes for the same kinds of reason, to lose weigh, to tone up, to get fitter etc

When I see people running on the street or walk past the gym and they are overweight, I don't think oh god look at that fat person or whatever. I think good on them for trying to get in shape. Just the same on when I see someone elderly and they are keeping fit.

Cacoethes 04-04-2017 06:31 PM

The darkened room does help!
Ah that's a shame.
I do zumba as well. It's zumba gold so it's adapted for older adults and beginners. And I mess up the moves there as well XD
Everyone is really nice though!
And you can make it higher impact if you want so I do a lot more jumping and skipping and stuff!
I tend to stay at the back of the room and that helps!

Shy_Bambi 04-04-2017 06:32 PM

What exactly is zumba? I've seen a lot of adverts for it. Do you need a partner to do it?

Cacoethes 04-04-2017 06:35 PM

It's basically dance moves! It's a lot of fun.
And you don't need a partner.

Shy_Bambi 04-04-2017 06:38 PM

Oooh sounds fun! I watch some practice dances on YouTube sometimes and get an urge to join in but my room is too small! Thank you for filling me in! :D

Cacoethes 04-04-2017 06:39 PM

It's definitely worth a go!!
You can always leave if you don't like it

Wonderland. 04-04-2017 06:43 PM

Bex at the front get them moves downnnnnnn

Cacoethes 04-04-2017 06:45 PM

Ahahaha!!!
That is basically me.
In one zumba class I actually tripped and hurt my ankle pretty badly XD

Shy_Bambi 04-04-2017 06:46 PM

Wonderland. That's hilarious!

Wonderland. 04-04-2017 06:48 PM

Pahaha... be careful Bex! Those floors they have are sure slippy sometimes!

Cacoethes 04-04-2017 06:51 PM

Yep!! Lol!!
It was really stupid as well cos I was totally fine with all the jumping around and everything but how did I trip over? By walking backwards.

Shy_Bambi 04-04-2017 06:54 PM

Why was you walking backwards lol

Cacoethes 04-04-2017 06:57 PM

It was one of the steps!
I got used to it after that though :p
You do pick up the moves quite fast!

Wonderland. 04-04-2017 07:00 PM

I often trip up over my own feet just walking down the street, so I can't really talk!

Cacoethes 04-04-2017 07:00 PM

Haha!! I have once tripped over while standing still! It's a skill of mine :p

not_so_insig 04-04-2017 07:09 PM

You have ninja skills Beckie.

Cacoethes 04-04-2017 07:17 PM

Haha! I do!

Sketchy 04-04-2017 07:54 PM

Evening all. *waves*

Cacoethes 04-04-2017 07:59 PM

Hi Lorraine! How are you?

Slimming world went well! I got my next award so I'm happy!!

Wonderland. 04-04-2017 08:21 PM

Hey Lorraine! How are you?

Thats awesome Bex! And there were you thinking you might gain!

Shy_Bambi 04-04-2017 08:27 PM

Hello Lorraine :)

Sketchy 04-04-2017 08:28 PM

Well done Beckie.

I'm ok thanks. I was out for dinner with my dad. We had curry and wine. I'm home now and in my bed. Had an appointment that weirded me out, so trying to make sense of it.

Cacoethes 04-04-2017 08:32 PM

Thanks amy!

That sounds nice Lorraine.
Appointments can be confusing sometimes. Have you got anyone to recap it for you?

Sketchy 04-04-2017 08:34 PM

I might talk to my sister about it or create a thread. I think I want to talk about it. It was something she said about my diagnosis that I'm confused about.

Wonderland. 04-04-2017 08:36 PM

Hope the food was yummy Lorraine!

Lorraine make a thread if it's something you need support on lovely <3
Hope you can get your head round things soon.

Bex you must have done more walking in London than you realise and steps in general whilst you've been a bit hyper.

Sketchy 04-04-2017 08:39 PM

The food was yummy. I had a paneer curry. So good!

Wonderland. 04-04-2017 08:46 PM

Glad it was nice :) I've never had one of them before. We weren't brought up on curries as my parents don't like spicy food. We didn't even get to try korma or tikka. Think I've only ever had two curries in my life!

Feel free to make a thread lovely, seriously if we can help in any way just say.

Sketchy 04-04-2017 08:49 PM

I was brought up on curries and enjoy making them myself. I love a good curry.

I've made a thread thanks. I'm probably just being silly though.

Cacoethes 04-04-2017 08:58 PM

I've only ever had kormas. I can't do spice!!

Wonderland. 04-04-2017 08:58 PM

If it's causing you any kind of distress or upset it's not silly. Talking things through is good. I'll go check your thread out.

I'm not a fan of cooking, I do like baking though, just don't have anyone to bake for.

Sketchy 04-04-2017 09:00 PM

Thanks Amy. I appreciate that.

I wish I liked baking. My sister is a good baker. Her banana bread is amazing. What kind of things do you bake?

Cacoethes 04-04-2017 09:05 PM

Banana bread is so nice!

I like baking and cooking.

Sketchy 04-04-2017 09:08 PM

I need to get back into cooking. I've became a bit lazy.

Wonderland. 04-04-2017 09:16 PM

Have just replied to your thread, hope things become more clearer for you Lorraine.

Banana bread is nommy!

I bake anything really traybakes, cakes, cookies, bread, fairy cakes. Theres nothing I wouldn't attempt.

Sketchy 04-04-2017 09:19 PM

Thanks Amy. I appreciate it .

Ooh I love fairy cakes.

Sketchy 04-04-2017 09:29 PM

It's cold and wet here tonight. What's it like where you guys are?

Wonderland. 04-04-2017 09:32 PM

I love how rather than walking the 2 meters to the window I google the weather to tell me if it's raining, it's not ;-) it feels quite warm.

Sketchy 04-04-2017 09:34 PM

Haha I would do the same. I'm quite cold. I'm snuggled under my duvet though, so will hopefully heat up soon.

Tixy 04-04-2017 09:39 PM

I am also in my duvet, it's wet here also

Wonderland. 04-04-2017 09:40 PM

I hope you warm up soon, maybe a brew would help or a microwave wheat bag if you have one.

Sketchy 04-04-2017 09:40 PM

Hi Tixy. It's definitely duvet weather, which is a shame because it was quite warm for a while.

Sketchy 04-04-2017 09:41 PM

Ooh a brew sounds a good idea.

Cacoethes 04-04-2017 09:41 PM

Ultimate laziness amy. I like it! :p

As far as I know, it's dry and warmish outside!
It was when I put the bin out an hour ago!

Wonderland. 04-04-2017 09:43 PM

Hey Tixy!

Laziness is what the internet is for, right!

Look at you Bex pro housewife in the making taking out the bins :tongue2:

Sketchy 04-04-2017 09:43 PM

Glad you have dry weather Beckie. Urgh, it always rains in Glasgow!

Tixy 04-04-2017 09:45 PM

Hey everyone :)

And doesn't it snow a lot in Scotland lol?

Wonderland. 04-04-2017 09:47 PM

It rains a lot in manc too! Luckily we have a day off.

Sketchy 04-04-2017 09:48 PM

We haven't had snow in a wee while, thankfully. But yes, we can get snow bad. You've got to love the Scottish weather.

Tixy 04-04-2017 09:48 PM

I take it Manchester? :P
