chinahorse 28-07-2018 05:28 PM

Hey Dawn.

Aubergine 28-07-2018 06:46 PM

Hello.

nonperson 28-07-2018 06:47 PM

I think my back is broken... but I have weeded quite a big area and nearly filled the trailer so am pleased. Got to tackle a jungle of brambles next but that will have to wait.

nonperson 28-07-2018 06:48 PM

Ninja post.

Hello Aubergine.

nonperson 28-07-2018 07:05 PM

I'm done for the day. Only started at about 3ish! So... only working hard for a few hours really.

Need to shower and make dinner and go food shopping as well tonight though...

Thanks Lillie etc for asking how I am. Bit injured but alright.

Wish eveyone well but I can't get through every post!

Aubergine 28-07-2018 07:45 PM

Just been for a walk.

Aubergine 28-07-2018 07:46 PM

How are you all?

chinahorse 28-07-2018 08:03 PM

Np, progress is progress!

Look after yourself buttons lovey <3

Hey aubergine- is it cooler where you are now? Must have been nice for a walk if it was.

I've retired to bed, some sort of vice like headache has descended along with the extreme tiredness. Woe.

Aubergine 28-07-2018 08:35 PM

It is cooler. We've had rain. :)

I'm sorry you're feeling so rough, Lillie.

Well naturally.

Hope walk went okay Aubergine.

Also hope your headache gets better Lillie.

Buttons. 29-07-2018 01:42 AM

Who wants to come to the wheelchair stand off between me and Jinxie :P

chinahorse 29-07-2018 04:31 AM

Meee!

But only if there is snacks.

chinahorse 29-07-2018 04:37 AM

Someone has left the gate open in the wind....

Buttons. 29-07-2018 07:15 AM

Of course there will be snacks Lillie what do you take us for! There'll be plenty of Wotsits and Quavers.

That would annoy me (and my dog) extremely Lillie! Has no one thought to shut it? In weather news it's finally started raining heavily here, let the dog out about 7am she stayed out for approx 2 seconds and then was like nope, it's wet.

chinahorse 29-07-2018 10:30 AM

The best snack combo ever! !

I tried to shut it but the main lock has gone.

Haha doggo not like the wet?

nonperson 29-07-2018 11:05 AM

I'd love to come to a wheelchair rumble! I somehow feel very wrong thinking that it would be great entertainment though...

Oh my, serious cravings for Quavers now.

My cat is not liking the rain either.

Maybe the lock broke off if it was slamming in the wind?

one_step_closer 29-07-2018 11:06 AM

Buttons, your dog doesn't seem to like any weather. Best get rid of weather completely.

chinahorse 29-07-2018 11:08 AM

I'd be down for a weather break for a while!!

It has a yale lock and from what I could tell in the howling wind and rain in my pjs at daft o clock its not holding in place anymore.

chinahorse 29-07-2018 11:10 AM

Does this sound ok? To my landlord.

Hi (landlords name),

I was wondering about the possibility of me getting a pet cat? I'd be happy to sign any further agreements to repair any damages should they arise etc.

one_step_closer 29-07-2018 11:30 AM

I have no idea since I've never had to do anything like that but I really hope you can get a cat!

Aubergine 29-07-2018 11:38 AM

That sounds ok, Lillie. I hope you can get one.

not_so_insig 29-07-2018 11:42 AM

Dear x,

I am wondering about the possibility of getting a pet cat. I consider myself a responsible person and would be more than happy to correct any damages out of my own pocket. In addition I have been a tenant of yours for X years now and have always kept the place immaculate and paid the rent on time. I see no reason why this shouldn't be the case once I get a pet.

Yours,

(your name )

In addition you could put that you are willing to offer an extra few hundred pounds as pet damage bond but Idk your financial situation so it may not be possible.

Quite formal, but depends what sort of relationship you have with your landlord.

Bolded sentence seems a touch forceful for my liking!

Just ask however you see fit, Lillie. =) It'll be a yes or no, regardless.

chinahorse 29-07-2018 12:04 PM

Yeah, considering I've only been a tenant of theirs since December of last year lol.

I may try to go for a middle ground. They have always been extremely informal with me but I'v met her in person twice.

nonperson 29-07-2018 12:07 PM

Middle ground sounds perfect.

Fingers crossed for you!

chinahorse 29-07-2018 12:09 PM

Thanks! I'm so so hoping it'll be a yes.

nonperson 29-07-2018 12:12 PM

If you can't get a cat would another kind of pet be an option?

I dunno why landlords think that cats are so destructive... When I was looking to move hardly anyone would allow cats... but they'd allow dogs which, in my opinion and experience, are much messier and destructive!

chinahorse 29-07-2018 12:16 PM

Erm something smaller maybe but I want it to love me!!

Can't get a dog, am at work too long, whereas my cat will hopefully eventually go out when I leave and come home when I do.

nonperson 29-07-2018 12:25 PM

My rats were very cool and loving... in their own way... but it's not the same as a cat or dog.

I assumed you'd keep it as a housecat. It's better when they can go out but much more worry when they don't come back when you want them to.

chinahorse 29-07-2018 12:31 PM

Rats stink to high heaven! I'd never get them.

nonperson 29-07-2018 12:31 PM

I don't remember them smelling that bad...

chinahorse 29-07-2018 12:38 PM

Maybe it was just the keeper? I dunno, I wouldn't really want them anyway.

Its so dark I've had to put the big light on! And am waiting till my laundry is done so I can do some studying for work. Too noisy atm. And I foolishy was coerced into covering for someone and starting at 8am on Monday. But its my own dentists late night and I don't finish till 6.30. And I will have to set up 2 surgeries before 8am which means getting there at like 7.30 latest. :S

nonperson 29-07-2018 12:48 PM

Rats aren't for everyone! What about a guineapig? They're cuddly and tremble instead of purring. =)

It's not so dark here, still raining though. Washing machine really isn't a good background noise for studying! And eek, early start. =( But on the plus side extra money?

chinahorse 29-07-2018 12:52 PM

Maybe. I'll see what is said about a cat first.

Makes a 10 hour working day though! On a Monday. When I'm knackered already. For £30.

Need to work out if they paid me correctly for last month too.

nonperson 29-07-2018 01:00 PM

Gotta weigh up knackeredness vs money, I guess.

Are they a bit hit and miss with pay?

chinahorse 29-07-2018 01:04 PM

I'm slowly starting to believe so. I worked more hours this month but didn't receive as much as I was expecting.

[Luna] 29-07-2018 01:05 PM

Hi all!

nonperson 29-07-2018 01:06 PM

It's always worth checking for yourself and querying it with them.

I went for a few months with my rent being added to my paycheck instead of being deducted from it!

nonperson 29-07-2018 01:06 PM

Hi Luna. =)

chinahorse 29-07-2018 01:08 PM

Did you have to pay it back np?

Hey Luna :)

[Luna] 29-07-2018 01:08 PM

Hey hey hey, y'all got raaaain??

nonperson 29-07-2018 01:11 PM

Yes I did, Lillie! Luckily I hadn't spent it.

Lots of rain! It's beautiful... but is making me want to eat everything in sight.

chinahorse 29-07-2018 01:13 PM

Least you'd been sensible np!

We doooooo. And the grey sea mist to go with it Luna. Yourself?

I don't see the link between that and the munchies np, care to explain?

[Luna] 29-07-2018 01:14 PM

I feel you. I want pizza and chocolate and crisps and cookies and omnomnom..

nonperson 29-07-2018 01:15 PM

I'm not sure I can explain!

I think it just makes me want to hole up inside on the sofa and eat comfort food, maybe?

nonperson 29-07-2018 01:16 PM

Omnomnom indeed.

I don't have pizza or crisps... =(

chinahorse 29-07-2018 01:16 PM

Ahhhh right.

I'd say I understand but I don't as that is my every day state of affairs lol.
