Cacoethes 10-04-2018 01:26 PM

Hello!
How are you?

Im tired because I was rudely awakened several times.
One for meds, second for ECG and third for hosptial :plain:

nonperson 10-04-2018 05:25 PM

Amazon left my parcels out in the rain somewhere over night... >=(

Aubergine, I also have rusks occasionally!

And I think maybe you would all fit in my airing cupboard. ;-)

Cacoethes 10-04-2018 05:33 PM

How annoying nonperson!
I hope nothing was damaged

nonperson 10-04-2018 05:39 PM

Hi Beckie!

Well, the batteries I ordered are soaked through... which isn't helpful but nothing's damaged.

Amazon are just idiots... Either I should stop using them or just shrug it off. =P

How're you?

Cacoethes 10-04-2018 05:42 PM

That isnt helpful :/

I haven't had any issues with amazon because I have an outdoor cupboard that they can leave things in.
I love amazon because they sell EVERYTHING!

im ok. Massive headache though!

nonperson 10-04-2018 05:43 PM

I have a rear porch and a sort of cat house thing by the front door that they could leave things in but they didn't even deliver to my house!

They do sell everything and I'm not about to go out to real shops to buy things so I'll just have to deal with soggy or stray parcels. =)

Headaches are rubbish. Can you get painkillers?

not_so_insig 10-04-2018 05:50 PM

I love amazon as I have a prime account. Meaning that with the exception of subscribe and save I get to choose a day when I am at home so I can wait all day.

I have almost finished watching The Railway Children. Seen the last of the 1960s version and watched the whole of the 1970 version. Now for the 2000 version which I shall start watching tonight.

Cacoethes 10-04-2018 05:51 PM

Then there's no excuse really!
That is very annoying!

Yeah, real shops are effort.

The nurse in charge of meds is on her break :eyeroll:

nonperson 10-04-2018 05:56 PM

How dare she take a break. =P

I also have Amazon Prime but that doesn't help if they can't find my house... =(

Not sure I could watch three versions of the same film so close together!!

Cacoethes 10-04-2018 06:31 PM

I know! Very rude of her! :p

I do not have amazon prime :(

Aubergine 10-04-2018 06:36 PM

Hello! Work finished. And not 30 minutes late like yesterday!

How are you all?

I have Prime Student!

nonperson 10-04-2018 06:37 PM

It's not essential to have! And I don't benefit from the free next day delivery anyway because my stuff always gets delivered somewhere else and takes a day or two for me to track it down.

So don't be sad. =P

nonperson 10-04-2018 06:38 PM

Hi Aubergine!

Hooray for finishing work on time =)

I'm ok, tired... pondering food... How're you?

Aubergine 10-04-2018 06:40 PM

I'm tired too. Should food. Actually just sat on the sofa with the cat...

What're you thinking for food?

Buttons. 10-04-2018 06:40 PM

Amazon Prime wins life.

Hello all :)

nonperson 10-04-2018 06:42 PM

Hi Buttons. =)

I'm pondering the stir fry that I still haven't cooked!

Had the rest of the prawn toast yesterday though... >.>

nonperson 10-04-2018 06:44 PM

Oh Buttons! Have you ever heard of Geek Gear?

Buttons. 10-04-2018 06:44 PM

Hey NP :)

Stir fry sounds nommy! I just found somewhere that delivers lasagne that sounds passable so fingers crossed!

Buttons. 10-04-2018 06:45 PM

Yes I have a regular subscription to geek gear why?

nonperson 10-04-2018 06:46 PM

Oooh. I just discovered it recently from a colleague. Was thinking of ordering one. =)

Buttons. 10-04-2018 06:49 PM

Well well well worth it, both clothes and artefact type things. I also now have a collection of 5 wands <3 I do the 3 monthly subscription which was about £50.

nonperson 10-04-2018 06:50 PM

Excellent =D Can't decide between the normal one or the wearable one first...

Buttons. 10-04-2018 06:51 PM

Do you also remember some of my Harry Potter T-shirts on the what are you wearing picture thread? A lot of the best ones geek gear.

Buttons. 10-04-2018 06:51 PM

I've just recently ordered one wearable one as well as my usual as a test run, do you want me to keep you posted in when it arrives?

nonperson 10-04-2018 06:56 PM

Ooh yes that would be great. I know there are lots of youtube unboxing videos and stuff but first hand reviews are better. Thanks =)

one_step_closer 10-04-2018 06:58 PM

Don't make me buy anything else!

No promises.

nonperson 10-04-2018 06:59 PM

It's Harry Potter, it HAS to be bought.

one_step_closer 10-04-2018 07:07 PM

That does sound like it is some kind of rule.

nonperson 10-04-2018 07:09 PM

Ha, yes. =P

It's an unwritten official rule.

I'm really craving a chocolate frog right now...

one_step_closer 10-04-2018 07:11 PM

Are there any actual frogs around that you can turn into a chocolate frog?

nonperson 10-04-2018 07:15 PM

I could probably find one at work!

But my transfiguration is a bit off... It'd probably turn to chocolate but taste of frog. =D

Aubergine 10-04-2018 07:16 PM

Bah to Harry Potter! :P

I've gone right of chocolate at the moment!

one_step_closer 10-04-2018 07:16 PM

Eww. Just eww.

one_step_closer 10-04-2018 07:17 PM

At least you won't be getting a froggy tasting chocolate frog from NP then Aubergine!

nonperson 10-04-2018 07:20 PM

I reckon Aubergine's just bitter because she's really a squib.

Aubergine 10-04-2018 07:21 PM

I am not a squib! (I'm assuming that we're talking about a firework type thing, yeah?)

nonperson 10-04-2018 07:23 PM

It's nothing like a firework type thing. XD

Nothing nasty. =)

Aubergine 10-04-2018 07:30 PM

It says a non-magical person when I Google it (and add Harry Potter to the search because you know, a squib is actually a firework thing. :P) I will let you know that I'm awesomely magical! I'm just not magical in the Harry Potter sense. More in the Lord of the Rings sense. :P

nonperson 10-04-2018 07:32 PM

I'm not sure what it says about me that I don't know the firework definition of squib...

LotR is still cool! Harry Potter is just an evolution of LotR so it's all the same thing really. ;-)

Buttons. 10-04-2018 07:34 PM

Aubergine is clearly a squib :P

Incidentally from the Geekgear boxes I have the recipe and moulds to make actualy chocolate frogs. Oh yes. (can't cook mind you, but the Opportunity is there :P)

nonperson 10-04-2018 07:38 PM

I want.

Buttons. 10-04-2018 07:38 PM

I love Lotr but not as much as HP. There. I said it.

Aubergine 10-04-2018 07:38 PM

When you said chocolate frogs I assumed you meaned a Freddo!

I despair.

nonperson 10-04-2018 07:45 PM

MUCH better than a Freddo.

chinahorse 10-04-2018 08:00 PM

hello

Cacoethes 10-04-2018 08:19 PM

Whaddup dawgs

nonperson 10-04-2018 08:46 PM

Well that stir fry really wasn't worth the effort of cooking it...
