Some of the students at work who are in their early to mid twenties don't have a clue what I'm talking about sometimes... I must've reached that age range where I can't connect with the young folks any more. *sob* >.>

I’m also of the generation where some of the people in my class at college are younger than my sister, and they just look like babies to me! I mean, they’re obviously not (the youngest probably being about 18) but some of the things they talk about are just like wtaf!

Yeah I was a few years older than a lot of people at college too and definitely had the same wtf experience. I found it easier talking to the older people/career changers who were probably closer in age to my parents!

The sauce was just a tonne of mushrooms, onions, mascarpone and dried mushroom powder. And we made a basil sauce to dribble on top.

I've been up only half an hour which is good for me. Even if I was awake a lot in the night. Got dressed, put the bin and recycling out and washing up away and laundry on. So productive. I'm watching a programme about penguins.

My tutor and I are having a progress meeting at 11, she’s calling me over Skype. Bit nervous about it, I’m worried she’s gonna be all like “I’m disappointed, what happened to the student I inducted in September?” A lot has happened since then, she now knows about the self harm and stuff (I didn’t tell her since its been over a decade since I last did it) so worried what she’s going to say about that. I had some negative comments about it before placement stopped.
