Cacoethes 12-02-2024 11:41 AM

Sounds good!

long road 12-02-2024 12:14 PM

I have to go out :(

Got an appointment with Nurse Practitioner at 11:55am so leaving in half an hour. It is sensible to get checked out considering I needed 2 nebs last night and I am still having symptoms this morning which is why I am going but I wish i could stay home!

Cacoethes 12-02-2024 12:36 PM

Yeah best get checked out
Hope it goes ok

long road 12-02-2024 01:22 PM

Well saw Nurse she was borderline on whether I had to go to hospital or not. Nurse is doing her best to keep me out of hospital. Plan is come home have a nebuliser and see how much that helps, see her again at 3:45pm.

one_step_closer 12-02-2024 01:38 PM

Hope you're all being kind to yourselves.

Cacoethes 12-02-2024 01:44 PM

Fingers crossed you can stay home jen

Hey lindsay
How are you?

long road 12-02-2024 02:16 PM

I really hope so. Nebuliser has helped. Will see how long it lasts.

*waves at Lindsay* hope you are taking your own advice and being kind to yourself!

tamobhuuta 12-02-2024 02:41 PM

Hi guys. I hope you're all looking after yourselves. Mass was good, less than 30 people there! I know that's not good for the church but it's good for me. Now I'm sitting down to watch doctors.

long road 12-02-2024 03:48 PM

Less people are easier to deal with so I get it!

Off out for nurse appointment 2 in 45 minutes or so. Little bit worried I might have to go to hospital as feeling a bit better but not much.

one_step_closer 12-02-2024 04:46 PM

How long has Doctors been a thing, Tamo?

Good luck, Jen.

long road 12-02-2024 05:09 PM

Don't have to go to hospital hooray! Do have to take steroids :plain: but hopefully taking them will keep me out of hospital.

not_so_insig 12-02-2024 05:30 PM

Doctors started in the year 2000 Lindsay.

not_so_insig 12-02-2024 05:34 PM

Fingers crossed Jen that you stay out of hospital.

not_so_insig 12-02-2024 06:08 PM

Also hello all. I have had a tesco shopping order today and put nearly everything away. Just got mainly the Pepsi cans to put away. Then decide what to have for tea. Had symptoms of low blood pressure so that's why it took me so long. Thankfully I had no frozen food so could take time to put stuff away.

long road 12-02-2024 06:43 PM

Tonight will be the real test. As asthma is generally worse at night. If I can get through tonight with no ambulances then theres a good chance no hospital as steroids will have had a chance to kick in. Not that they always help that quickly but I am being hopeful!

I heard they changed the recipe of pepsi recently and made it part sugar part sweetners. Which is a shame as it always used to be my favourite. Have you noticed a change Dawn? Hope you feel better blood pressure wise soon.

not_so_insig 12-02-2024 06:56 PM

Yes I heard that re Pepsi. Fortunately I always have Pepsi max so am unaffected. I had low blood pressure yesterday too. Fortunately I am feeling slightly better now after some food and drink.

long road 12-02-2024 06:58 PM

Well that has always been all sweetners it's kind of the point! I have never got on with the taste of artificial sweetners. Too sweet and slightly chemically.

Glad you are feeling a bit better now. Make sure you check in with medical professionals if needed.

one_step_closer 12-02-2024 07:04 PM

I'm a Pepsi Max person too.

long road 12-02-2024 07:09 PM

I have heard from the people who like diet drinks that Pepsi max it is the best. Pre sugar tax I always preferred Pepsi to Coke. I can tolerate dr pepper with the new hybrid sugar / sweetener recipe I think because the cherry taste has always been artificial but in a good way so it masks the sweetener taste

not_so_insig 12-02-2024 07:26 PM

I have dr pepper too. I haven't had it since the hybrid thing so hopefully it will be ok. Used to like Dr pepper.

tamobhuuta 12-02-2024 08:42 PM

My favourite is diet coke.

Cacoethes 12-02-2024 08:47 PM

I have 'zx cola' from aldi because i can't afford actual coke or pepsi these days XD
They also do a zero orange which does taste exactly like fanta.
It's actually decent. Either that or I'm used to it. It's way better than the budget diet cola or zero cola in asda.

long road 12-02-2024 09:04 PM

Aldi make the best knock off versions of things.

Just had the ambulance out for my asthma. Was a paramedic I had before who gets FND. They gave me the good stuff (ipratropium) and I was feeling and sounding a load better (plus they know hospital makes my FND go crazy) so they let me stay at home :)

Cacoethes 12-02-2024 09:06 PM

They really do!

Glad you're feeling better, may it continue!

long road 12-02-2024 09:18 PM

Everything crossed. I felt pretty good after neb number 2 and then things got worse again but I have had the good stuff so might be ok.

Cacoethes 12-02-2024 09:28 PM

Fingers crossed

not_so_insig 13-02-2024 08:22 AM

Morning all.

Cacoethes 13-02-2024 08:42 AM

Morning

long road 13-02-2024 08:51 AM

Morning!

Steroids seem to have already got me back to going to sleep late and waking up early...

Cacoethes 13-02-2024 09:11 AM

How annoying jen!

long road 13-02-2024 09:51 AM

Hopefully getting to sleep will be a little easier tonight as taking steroids earlier in the day.

How are you today?

Cacoethes 13-02-2024 09:56 AM

Hopefully! Lack of sleep affects so much

I was feeling better immediately after getting up, but unfortunately didn't last.

long road 13-02-2024 10:17 AM

That sucks, troll body giving you hope and then dashing it.

I have done breakfast, coffee meds and a bit of admin. I don't nat do so much more!

Cacoethes 13-02-2024 10:19 AM

Yep. My body and brain suck right now

Well done!
Keep an eye on the steroid zoomies

tamobhuuta 13-02-2024 11:16 AM

Morning guys. I'm glad you managed to avoid hospital lr.
Sorry you're not feeling great Cacoethes.

Cacoethes 13-02-2024 11:19 AM

Thanks tamo
How are you?

tamobhuuta 13-02-2024 11:25 AM

I'm ok thanks. Got my godmother visiting this afternoon. Drinking tea right now.

Cacoethes 13-02-2024 11:27 AM

That's nice :)

It's just started raining here
Hopefully will stop before i have to go out

tamobhuuta 13-02-2024 11:28 AM

It's drizzling here. You going anywhere fun?

long road 13-02-2024 11:46 AM

Well zoomies may be zooming... I phoned dentist and booked a new appointment as they cancelled my last one because their lift broke, but now their lift is fixed.

I also did my sinus rinse, got dressed and put a load of washing on. Now trying to force myself to sit still for a bit as starting to feel it in my lungs. I wish I could have this much energy without it being artificial!

Morning Tamo!

Grey and wet here

tamobhuuta 13-02-2024 11:49 AM

Morning lr - good luck with sitting still!

long road 13-02-2024 11:53 AM

Thanks Tamo I really need it, the urge to do ALL the things is super strong!

How is your day shaping up?

Cacoethes 13-02-2024 11:57 AM

Nowhere fun, just asda and aldi, if i can find the energy.

tamobhuuta 13-02-2024 12:04 PM

Wishing you the necessary energy Cacoethes.

My day should be peaceful, it will be nice to see my godmother.

Cacoethes 13-02-2024 12:11 PM

Thank you

I'm glad you have a good day ahead tamo

long road 13-02-2024 01:38 PM

If my lungs behave I should be roleplaying this evening which I am looking forward to.

I mostly sat still apart from tidying up my old med boxes (peeling labels off and sticking boxes into recycling). And I still did things while sitting still, I updated my to do list and then levelled up my character ahead of tonight's game.

Enjoy time with your Godmother Tamo.

Hope your body cooperates with your tasks Beckie

Cacoethes 13-02-2024 01:43 PM

That's good jen
Roleplaying sounds fun

My body is absolutely not cooperating and i haven't moved

not_so_insig 13-02-2024 01:46 PM

Afternoon all.

long road 13-02-2024 01:50 PM

Do you need to call GP or 111 Beckie? Sounds concerning that your body is shutting down.

Cacoethes 13-02-2024 01:55 PM

I have blood tests tomorrow, so will see if they show anything.
My guess is low folate.
Called cmht earlier and he's gonna get my cpn to call me, so hopefully that actually happens
