Aww cutie but annoying Findus and cutie fluffies!
Crookshanks is napping on me as usual. I really want you to get a guinea pig bridge, Beckie. |
If only i had space for a guinea pig bridge!
Definitely would otherwise XD |
You could just get a mini one. Or knock down a wall maybe.

First 'gig' I went to was a Steeleye Span concert at the local theatre with my parents and brother in around 2004 aged 11. They are a folk rock band that started in the 70's that my parents saw together a few times in late 70's, early 80's and we listened to in the car on long journeys most of my childhood! Folk definitely fits the vibe of a chill day for me. And I am a great believer in choosing the music you listen to based on how you are feeling/ want to feel or to fit with what you are doing that day. It's hard advice to follow. I only took it because my lungs hurt. He he he XD Quote:
I am doing lunch and antibiotics now. Just had some cucumber and houmous and partner is making me super noodles as I wanted some comfort food. |
I'd never really listened to folk before the festival. My favourite band there was Mauvais Sort, they're french. I had their cd. Actually recently found them again on Spotify.
I don't really have any walls to knock down! It's a 1 bed cluster house. I don't think landlord or neighbours would be best pleased either XD Best to listen to your lungs! Oooh houmous! One of my favourite things! |
I did French, German and Spanish for GCSE so I'd like to refresh those. Also Italian, maybe Greek?
|
I can never get Supernoodles to be tasty enough.
You must really like languages, Tamo. I only did some German and Latin at school and then a German module at uni. |
Not heard of Mauvais Sort might have a listen.
Best not knock down walls then don't want to get in trouble XD Mini enclosure bridge from main part to a play area? When lungs speak you have to listen really. Houmous is amazing! I enjoye dit muchly. I am impressed you studied three languages at GCSE Tamo! I seem to remember you were also learning a small amount of Sanskrit? I am just having a peppermint tea and watching 'Who do you think you are?' On iPlayer. Then planning to try for a short nap. Ninja Lindsay I only like the chow mein flavour ones and I cook them on the hob plus add a little bit of soy sauce and if I have it some sliced cooked chicken. Occassionally some veg if I have left overs. I mainly eat fancier Asian inspired noodles these days but there something comforting about the more basic ones. |
I only really like chicken supernoodles
Same with hearts really. Should listen to them too XD |
Yeah should listen to your body and it's organs in general but heart and lungs especially XD
|
Lr I studied Sanskrit at uni. I did try to go back to it a few months ago but my memory and energy are shot to pieces. I also did Latin GCSE!
|
Goodness Tamo you are a polyglot! So many languages you know at least a little of, I am impressed are languages in general a special interest for you?
Sanskrit does look very complicated, I have never tried to learn a language with a non Latin alphabet. Maybe you could chose one of the European languages you did at GCSE to try and get back into first. Might be a little bit easier to get your brain around I am just about to head to bed and hopefully nap. |
When I was little my ambition was to speak every language!
|
Have a good nap jen!
Just got home, showered, now done all my things and can relax! |
Just got back from mass. Still have no idea what the priest is saying in his sermon.
|
Did you enjoy Mass anyway, Tamo?
I hope you manage a good nap, Jen. What are you going to do to relax, Beckie? |
Was it ok tamo?
At the moment just put House on. Fed the boys. Need to get the laptop out to make sure it doesn't need updating for an appointment i have before work What are you up to lindsay? |
Tried to nap but it didn't happen. So now just listening to music on my headphones, propped up in bed.
|
That's disappointing!
Hopefully that means you'll have a good sleep tonight jen! |
Doubtful it will be great, think steroids are keeping me pretty wired. But we can hope!
|
I'll have everything crossed for you!
Bad sleep is the absolute worst anyway, let alone when you're feeling physically crap |
Yeah it was good thanks.
I hope you get some proper sleep lr. Are you enjoying House, Cacoethes? |
Glad you enjoyed it!
I am thanks! I've watched it many times, but not for a while. Comfort show! |
That's a shame, Jen. Will add to the hope that you sleep well tonight.
Sounds good, Beckie. I've been watching Shadow Of Truth on iPlayer, it's a murder documentary and very interesting. |
I watch a lot of fictional murder and crime shows, and I like the procedural nature of it. There is a comfort in knowing there will always be an inciting incident, a few dead ends, some clues and finally a reveal of who did it / or an attempt to arrest them/ make them confess if reveal happened earlier in episode.
But I can't handle true crime stuff. I think the way I deal with gore in crime shows is knowing it's all fake and jooone was actually hurt. True crime is too real. |
That's fair enough jen.
I know quite a few people who feel the same! Glad you're enjoying it lindsay |
I agree with lr, true crime is too real.
|
I am feeling a bit more ill.
But we are having a roast for dinner and I am looking forward to it. It should be ready soon! |
Hopefully the roast will pick you up a bit!
|
Sorry you're feeling worse lr. I hope you enjoy your dinner.
|
Dinner was tasty. Still feeling rough.
Just updated click and collect order as otherwise we wouldn't have had enough food for the week. I am shattered but not going to bed yet. Feel a bit better sitting straight up so staying on sofa for now. |
I hope you managed a decent sleep!
I was up at 4:30am. It was still dark. Still mostly is! |
Morning Beckie!
I got around 6 hours including waking up once. So not bad but could be better. Got to ring GP in a bit when phones open. Hope zoom thing this morning goes ok |
Morning!
That's not too bad. How are you feeling? Good luck with ringing the GP! Though it sounds like you always get an appointment which is good! Thanks :) |
Not entirely sure how I am feeling. About the same as yesterday I think, definitely still feel ill.
Don't always get an appointment for everything but for asthma generally do! I will get a triage phone call and then they will decide whether to give me appointment. I think they don't want to risk not seeing me. Right quick breakfast and then to do battle with the phones. |
At least same is better than worse!
That's good that they can prioritise! Some GP surgeries can be lacking in that! Have fun |
My surgery is pretty good. Had issues with one GP there but he isn't my named GP anymore. And the nursing staff are all great.
After redialling 12 times I managed to get through to wait on hold. The dial tone is driving me slightly mad. |
And same nurse I have seen last 2 times is calling me at some point this morning. Which I expect will be earlier rather than later.
How is your morning going? |
Same with my surgery tbh!
In the nearly 9 years I've been with them, I've only not got an appointment once. And never had an issue with any of the GPs or nurses. Apart from that clueless GP who didn't know the ED team was a thing, but she was very young and also new! Hopefully she will learn! Ughh the dial tone! Mine has music. It haunts me. Why is it always classical? I hate classical! I rang someone once and was put on hold and it was all current music! Like it was playing a radio station. They should all be like that. My morning is ok thanks! I have a toast craving. |
Hopefully young one will learn indeed!
Just the dial tone and a message every 30 seconds or so telling you sorry all our operators are busy at the moment please continue to hold. Current music is good hold music, I got currentish music when ringing an energy company. Song was around 10 years old at the time was New Shoes by Paulo Nuitini and I think it also played some Bruno Mars. I remember dancing around with the phone on speaker and that it sounded very tinny like they had ripped it off the radio XD Do you have any bread to make toast with? I ordered a fruit loaf in my shop after our conversation on Saturday. Looking forward to it! |
Does it tell you what number you are in the queue?
It tells me every so often. I like to guess what number it's going to be next XD I do not. I don't even think i have a toaster anymore! I couldn't find it last time i wanted to use it. Yaaaay! Hope you don't burn it like i did XD |
Nope. I sit there in mystery XD
I did put my wireless headphones on so I could eat breakfast while on hold, if you get a call incoming you can double tap the side to answer which is super handy. Being without a toaster is a serious thing. Maybe get to wilko as they are going into administration they might have a cheap one. I hope so too. It is very sad to burn fruit loaf while toasting it. |
That's very good!
According to my neighbour who works at wilko, they are not closing. So either the media has blown things up or her company are lying to them all about staying open. It really is sad! |
I mean the media blowing things out of proportion and a company in administration lying to its staff are both plausible. For your neighbour's sake I hope it the media.
Appointment at 11:10am so slightly earlier this time. Trying to decide whether I have energy for a shower. I do need one but don't want to over do it. |
Morning guys.
|
Morning Tamo!
How goes the Monday morning med sort? I had a shower in the end was tiring but worth it. |
Exactly!
I hope it's not closing too. She works so hard and has been there for ages! Hope the appointment goes ok! Glad you managed a shower. Morning tamo! |
I haven't started my meds boxes yet. Well done for remembering! I'm having a cup of tea right now, then it will be meds box time.
Well done for showering lr. What are you up to Cacoethes? |
I had an appointment over MS teams this morning, leaving for work now!
|
I have a pretty good memory, although not as good as it used to be. Tea is very important part of the morning hope you enjoyed your cuppa.
Just got back from Nurse who also brought in the duty GP to see me. Advice for now is keep doing what I am doing, I am definitely ill but currently well enough to stay home. Got to phone in tomorrow afternoon to ask to speak to my named GP as he is on duty then and he will probably bring me in for an appointment. Feel any worse or show specific symptoms head up to A&E. Glad to be home and have a bit of a clearer plan in place. But wish it would all sort itself out easier. Hope work goes well Beckie. |
