Cacoethes 10-08-2023 01:13 PM

I used to be the same tbh!
I'm more confident now

not_so_insig 10-08-2023 01:43 PM

Sorry you have the wrong shoes Lindsay.

Afternoon all. My Internet is slow today so I may be slow replying. I am not ignoring you i promise!

Cacoethes 10-08-2023 01:48 PM

How inconvenient.
Now you won't be able to reply to our posts!

long road 10-08-2023 01:50 PM

Not got energy to do much. Have watched a couple of YouTube videos on my phone and had some lunch. Might get partner to bring in my laptop and watch some TV in bed.

Sorry to hear of your stressful shopping experiences Lindsay and Zurg!

Imagining the thump thump of bunny paws across the floor made me smile Zurg.

I went the opposite route from relaxing drink and am drinking a cup of coffee to see if it gives me a bit of energy.

Try and hydrate and stuff before taekwondo Beckie. Hope it's a good session and doesn't exhaust you.

Cacoethes 10-08-2023 01:59 PM

Good to take it easy.
Hopefully coffee helps a bit!

Thanks! I will! And I'll actually try and remember to bring my water with me XD
Already exhausted lol

not_so_insig 10-08-2023 02:03 PM

It's annoying af Beckie. It's faster than this morning but still slower than normal.

long road 10-08-2023 02:23 PM

Maybe your internet isn't feeling well so is taking it slow Dawn? In all seriousness internet problems suck. I lost the internet for a whole month back inearly 2010's before mobile internet was a proper thing. Someone stole the BT cable that supplied internet to my village for the copper.

Coffee hasn't really helped alas. I am not good at being ill anymore because my baseline is already quite ill most days due to FND so being properly ill is even more irritating. I don't even know if that sentence made sense
*Shrugs*

I really need to find something to do that is super low energy but still fun.

Well there's a scale to exhausted so hope it doesn't make things worse!

Cacoethes 10-08-2023 02:51 PM

People are always stealing those cables!
And one of my supported housings, the cable would be nicked again the day it was replaced!

It did make sense!
Sounds awful though :(

I'm pretty much in a constant state of exhaustion/no energy.
I haven't noticed a scale. But there probably is one!
Just have to keep on pushing through because i have life stuff to do!

long road 10-08-2023 03:00 PM

Not going to lie it does suck. But hopefully I will bounce back Inna few days when steroids kick in.

Settled for listening to some music. Have my headphones and a mix of my favourite linkin park songs playing, helps with expressing some frustration and always find music give me a bit of energy.

I imagine there is some sort of scale and that 0 energy is when you fall over :P I know not pushing yourself is complicated but try not to burn out and hit 0.

Cacoethes 10-08-2023 03:05 PM

Fingers crossed!

Linkin park is a fabulous choice

Well, yeah XD
I will certainly try not to burn out! That's no fun!

long road 10-08-2023 03:08 PM

Do you have a favourite Linkin Park song? I think I can guess Lindsay's XD

None of the fun for sure!

Cacoethes 10-08-2023 03:10 PM

Gotta be 'Numb'
Anthem to my teenage years, and still features heavily on my Spotify!

Nope!
The heat really doesn't help either!
It's 27c!!
It was winter on Tuesday!!! Why is it suddenly summer now?!?

long road 10-08-2023 03:23 PM

Tis a classic. I am probably split between Numb, Leave out all the Rest and Castle of Glass. But it's hard to chose my linkin park favourites playlist has 29 songs from 7 different albums which says a lot XD

I have been struggling with the humidity, the muggy feeling really doesn't help my lungs.

And the answer of switching from winter to summer is we live in Britain. Our weather is messed up.

At least you can wear a t-shirt to taekwondo tonight

Cacoethes 10-08-2023 03:26 PM

Castle of glass is another good one!
Most of them are good though tbh!

Yeah i can imagine it doesn't!
Do you have one of those dehumidifier things?

True, though it seems more messed up than usual this year!

Yes!!

long road 10-08-2023 03:38 PM

We do. It costs a load of electric to run though and when it's the weather it only helps temporarily. I can afford it right now but I sometimes find myself getting very anxious about spending too much as I want to keep my savings in case I lose my Disability pay from work. Luckily partner turns it on periodically anyway and reminds me health is more important. I would bee more of a mess without him for sure!

That will be the climate change I expect.

How hot are dobok trousers? I find my legs overheat less than the rest of me but doboks are soooo fluffy!!!

Cacoethes 10-08-2023 03:40 PM

Health certainly is more important!

Probably

They're thick but also very loose, so it's not too bad.

tamobhuuta 10-08-2023 03:51 PM

I like the Linkin Park song with Jay Z!

Cacoethes 10-08-2023 03:59 PM

Ah yeah, that was Numb but with jay z. Good song!

long road 10-08-2023 03:59 PM

Now I want sing baggy trousers by the madness!

There's an album of 6 songs with Jay Z Tamo. But I expect you mean Numb/Encore as that's the most played one.

one_step_closer 10-08-2023 04:04 PM

I don't have a favourite Linkin Park song. Some I like are Iridescent, Waiting For The End, and Castle Of Glass but I really, really just love most of them. Minutes To Midnight is my least favourite album though I think.

tamobhuuta 10-08-2023 04:08 PM

Yes, Numb/encore that's it.

A butterfly landed on me!

Cacoethes 10-08-2023 04:11 PM

The butterflies have been mental this year
As in flying super close and flying around you
Or maybe it's just me

one_step_closer 10-08-2023 04:14 PM

I've hardly seen any butterflies other than a couple on one of my plants.

Cacoethes 10-08-2023 04:15 PM

They're everywhere around here!

tamobhuuta 10-08-2023 04:22 PM

It's like during covid, I'd swear there were more then too.

Huh I assumed it was one step closer because of your user.
Agree with you about there being so many good songs.

long road 10-08-2023 04:36 PM

Also fun story, I was out walking one day chatting to my friends and a butterfly flew into my open mouth was the weirdest feeling ever and when I got over the initial shock I sort of spar the butterfly out and it flew away. Was so odd!

Cacoethes 10-08-2023 04:36 PM

Maybe the butterflies have just had a good year?!

Ahahahaha that's hilarious jen!

long road 10-08-2023 05:19 PM

I just wish I had a photo. Alas It happened too quickly for anyone to capture it.

I did some folding of the clean dry washing and my partner put it all away. Felt kind of good to actually achieve something. Then I came back to bed to try and chill for a bit. Going a bit stir crazy though so migh go sit on sofa and watch some TV or a film or something.

Cacoethes 10-08-2023 05:30 PM

Well done!
I think I'd go a bit stir crazy too, take it slow!

long road 10-08-2023 06:27 PM

Am taking it slow and feeling slightly better than this morning thinking being sat up properly helps. I am watching a series on BBC iPlayer about people going behind the scenes at fancy hotels. With my laptop plugged into my TV.

We just ordered burger and chips for delivery from a new place a friend recommended as neither of us have capacity to cook.

one_step_closer 10-08-2023 06:35 PM

Eww butterfly in mouth!

My username used to be living_just_for_dying and I wanted to change it to something that could be more positive and just chose a Linkin Park song.

Well done, Jen. Do the people look at the cleanliness of the hotels and stuff? Hope you enjoy your burger and chips.

long road 10-08-2023 06:39 PM

They try all the different jobs. Including being cleaners. They generally aren't critical though, I think it's to do with the programme relationship with the fancy five star hotels.

one_step_closer 10-08-2023 06:59 PM

That sounds kind of interesting. What job would be the best in a hotel do you think?

Cacoethes 10-08-2023 07:32 PM

Cleaning would be the absolute worst job in a hotel, for sure.
People do all sorts when they know they don't have to clean it up. Vom

How disconcerting.

Being a guest :-D

But if I had to work I would quite like to be a tour guide taking guest on adventures.

It's called Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby

It was very weird Tamo.

long road 10-08-2023 08:54 PM

I am borrrrred

Cacoethes 10-08-2023 09:03 PM

Weirdly, i read your name as 'very long road' when glancing at the page.
I think i need sleep XD

long road 10-08-2023 09:18 PM

Sounds about right XD

But then you always need sleep because your body rudely never gives you enough.

I am feeling a little bit worse breathing wise so no sleep for me until I get that under control. Am currently reading a web fiction, listening to music and feeling very bored.

Cacoethes 10-08-2023 09:20 PM

That's true tbh

Oh noo that is not a vibe :(

long road 10-08-2023 10:24 PM

Happy to report that breathing is a little easier. And my web fiction has got interesting enough to stop me bein so bored.

maii 10-08-2023 11:14 PM

^Good to know that you are doing better.

maii 10-08-2023 11:16 PM

I'm struggling to be more positive; work in progress.

Cacoethes 11-08-2023 06:41 AM

Woohoo! I'm glad you're feeling better!
Long may it continue!

I hope positivity happens for you maii

Morning everyone

long road 11-08-2023 07:44 AM

Morning!

It is too early in the morning got 6 hours sleep max.
Going to do meds now I am awake and then maybe try and snooze a bit longer.

The other Nurse Practioner is calling me at some point this morning to check in. I hate the at some point in the morning phone calls it's hard to settle to anything. Definitely not risking a shower today!

Still feel rough, don't think I am much better but definitely not any worse than yesterday

Cacoethes 11-08-2023 07:57 AM

I feel you on that! I got 5 and a half hours broken sleep!
I got up to pee like 6 times.

Hope you manage to get a bit of a snooze in!

Ugh yeah, i hate the 'we'll call you at some point in the morning' calls as well! Sometimes it doesn't even end up being morning!
I have a GP appointment on the 26th and it's a 'some point in the afternoon'. Which i guess still means i can do taekwondo in the morning, because it's on a Saturday, weirdly.

Not worse is better than nothing!

long road 11-08-2023 08:37 AM

Eurgh to getting up to pee that much. So irritating when that happens.

Still awake for now. Brain seems to have decided that I am up now, despite being exhausted.

Even an hour time slot would be better than a whole morning or afternoon. Morning according to my surgery starts at 8:30am and runs until 1pm (for calls anyway). The uncertainty is hard to deal with.

What are you up to today?

Pi.R^2 11-08-2023 09:03 AM

Morning all!

Sorry you both slept badly :(

Also I would like to add that GPs saying they'll call at some point in the morning is impossible for my profession! Like I literally cannot answer my phone for several hours in the day.

Cacoethes 11-08-2023 09:05 AM

It is!

Hopefully you'll be able to nap later

Morning jenna!

Yes i do wonder about people who have monday-friday type jobs! Impossible!

I am going to the beach with L and S :)
2 hour drive but i imagine we'll stop for breaks because of S's needs.
I'm just used to not stopping at all because my mum and step dad were very much, 'we're getting there asap, no messing about!'
