Hello everyone.

Sketchy 30-11-2017 08:44 PM

Hello. How are you?

nonperson 30-11-2017 08:49 PM

A bit meh. My yoga class was cancelled for the second time this week. Only found out when I was in the car park. Oh well.

How are you and your gorgeous kitty? =)

not_so_insig 30-11-2017 08:50 PM

Hi there! I went for my weekly walk around the park at the bottom of the road before.

We had men come and paint the corridors of our block of flats today. They left a mess so I hoovered it up. Only the ground floor though.

Sketchy 30-11-2017 08:55 PM

That’s a shame your class got cancelled. I hope you find something nice to do instead.

The cat has settled in nicely. So playful and cute.

That’s good you went for your weekly walk Dawn. I hope you weren’t too cold.

nonperson 30-11-2017 08:59 PM

I'm glad she's settling in alright, Sketchy. She sounds like a very confident little thing which is great. =)

I'm drinking hot chocolate and eating a million biscuits instead of yoga. Whoops.

Sketchy 30-11-2017 09:04 PM

She’s very confident. She climbs all over us and demands attention. I miss her when I go back to my flat, but thankfully I’m staying overnight at my sister’s which is where the cat stays.

Hot chocolate and biscuits sound brilliant!

nonperson 30-11-2017 09:10 PM

It is brilliant but not very healthy. Needed comfort food.

My cat is upstairs in the airing cupboard because it's super warm there and comfy on a stack of pillows.... and he's a big wuss.

Sketchy 30-11-2017 09:14 PM

Awww. What’s your cat called?

Cacoethes 30-11-2017 09:18 PM

I want to join the cat club! Lol!

nonperson 30-11-2017 09:18 PM

He's called Geordi and he's a Siamese cat so very chatty but sometimes more like a dog. He's great =)

nonperson 30-11-2017 09:18 PM

Everyone should have a cat.

Cacoethes 30-11-2017 09:21 PM

I do love cats but I'm more of a dog person if I had the choice.
I love all animals though.

Siamese cats are cute!

Sketchy 30-11-2017 09:22 PM

Such a cute name. Ours is Molly. She’s a little black kitty. She’s so tiny.

nonperson 30-11-2017 09:22 PM

I'd happily have a dog too actually.

Used to have a German Shepherd for a bit.

Sketchy 30-11-2017 09:22 PM

I’m scared of dogs.

nonperson 30-11-2017 09:25 PM

They can be quite intimidating, particularly when they're not trained properly.

Cacoethes 30-11-2017 09:26 PM

Love German Shepards.
I much prefer big dogs to the little yappy ones!
My family have a collie puppy. Shes only about 14 weeks old. She's a blue merle colour and she's adorable!

Yes dogs can be indimidating.

one_step_closer 30-11-2017 09:32 PM

My support worker brought round someone new from the crisis team to meet me one day and she was terrified of my cats. It was such a shame. And my support worker was completely winding her up saying things like my cats used to walk in circles around one of the support assistants who used to come to my house!

nonperson 30-11-2017 09:36 PM

I don't like it when people don't respect peoples' fear of animals sometimes.

Sketchy 30-11-2017 09:36 PM

I can sympathise with anyone scared of animals because of my dog phobia.

nonperson 30-11-2017 09:38 PM

Exactly, but some people don't understand it at all and think people are just being silly.

Dunno why I'm ranting about that really, heh.

one_step_closer 30-11-2017 09:40 PM

A fear is a fear. It doesn't matter what we are afraid of it's still a horrible experience.

Buttons. 30-11-2017 09:42 PM

Geordi and Molly sound v cute. Have to agree with Beckie though (I know Lorraine shock horror) more a dog person.

Lorraine I promise you ever met my dog Lady she'd cure the phobia-she gets beaten by tiny dogs cos all she will do is submit even if theyre half her size and the worst thing she would do to you is lick you death-she's even trained out of jumping up now so she wouldn't come near you unless given permission

its never silly to have a fear. fear is fear whatever it is.

one_step_closer 30-11-2017 09:43 PM

Dogs have lovely soft tongues, cat's tongues are like spikes.

Cacoethes 30-11-2017 09:44 PM

Exactly.
If someone is scared of something then you should respect that.
My dad has a giant spider (she's about the size of a plate now) and once she got lost in his flat for about 2 weeks. Literally everyone refused to enter his flat until she was found!
Tbh i wouldn't want to go into his flat even if she was in her tank!
She is enormous

Buttons. 30-11-2017 09:44 PM

also Lins speaks wise words!

oh my days that would scare the **** out of me!!

one_step_closer 30-11-2017 09:45 PM

The size of a plate

I am very wise.

nonperson 30-11-2017 09:48 PM

Oh dear God.... A PLATE SIZED SPIDER?!

*faints*

I'm joining you in the fainting! I've held a tertantula (in a psych ward would you believe slightly less cute than the meerkats-although the meerkats did chew the tassels off my slippers :P) but think a plate sized one is a tad too big!!

Cacoethes 30-11-2017 09:53 PM

Yes shes a mahoosive spider!
He eventually found her in a pile of clothes next to his bed.
His social worker refused to see him until the spider was found.
That's one way to get rid of MH professionals :tongue2:

Im going to bed now guys.
I know its early but im shattered!
Night night all!

Buttons. 30-11-2017 09:55 PM

Night night sleep tight think of spiders tonight :P

Buttons. 30-11-2017 09:56 PM

and tbh I'm with his social worker! remember when you were coming down to my house and i posted on facebook the massive spider I found in my kitchen and you refused to come if it hadn't gone away :P

nonperson 30-11-2017 09:57 PM

Night night, sleep well.

Buttons - I would never even hold a tarantula. Eek.

Buttons. 30-11-2017 09:59 PM

tbh it was less scary than a spider to me-very slow moving so I knew what it was doing.

They also let me borrow a massive snake to scare a member of staff who I had a bit of beef with and I knew hated snakes-yes I'm evil :P

one_step_closer 30-11-2017 10:00 PM

Night.

Buttons, are you sure you weren't hallucinating all these exotic animals?

Buttons. 30-11-2017 10:03 PM

No it was and I quote pet therapy! They weren't all weird (well the meerkats where fairly bitey) but they had a dog and all the usual animals just lot of weird ones as well :P the main guy who brought them nearly pissed himself laughing when I took the snake into the staff member who was scared of it-he had to come in in case I dunno I chucked it at her something?? I had it round my neck-snakes don't bother me at all and she screamed very loud.

nonperson 30-11-2017 10:08 PM

I think I'd hold a snake. I remember being scared of touching one when I was a kid though. Not sure why though!

Buttons. 30-11-2017 10:10 PM

apparently fear of spiders and snakes is innate from when we were neandethals and it was just fundamental survival skills-don't touch that it might bite you sort of thing :P

Buttons. 30-11-2017 10:12 PM

obviously now we've got better brains and we've grown out of childhood fears we know when its safe to touch things like a snake or not-like if someone hands it to you who you trust and says not poisonous cool but you'd still clear of a random snake in a forest :P

nonperson 30-11-2017 10:25 PM

I found a snake that was half eating a massive toad at work so I whacked it with a long stick and saved the toad! I was properly freaked out though because it all looked so violent and I thought the snake might turn on me, lol. The snake was fine, I didn't hurt it.

Buttons. 30-11-2017 10:41 PM

I don't blame you!!!

Cacoethes 01-12-2017 11:38 AM

I love snakes!
They are so adorable.

not_so_insig 01-12-2017 02:48 PM

Afternoon all.

Sketchy 01-12-2017 02:49 PM

Afternoon Dawn. How are you?

not_so_insig 01-12-2017 02:51 PM

I am ok thanks Lorraine.

Sketchy 01-12-2017 03:02 PM

I bought some sachets of instant cappuccino. Having one just now.

Cacoethes 01-12-2017 03:04 PM

Hey guys
Its quiet in here today

Sketchy 01-12-2017 03:06 PM
