Aww cute cats.

That was sensible Dawn. You don’t want to be stranded.

Cacoethes 01-03-2018 05:56 PM

I just read that the UK could run out of gas! 0_o

Sketchy 01-03-2018 05:57 PM

I hope that doesn’t happen! It’s too cold!

Cacoethes 01-03-2018 05:59 PM

Apparently it probably won't affect home use (fingers crossed!) But more likely to affect industrial use.

Sketchy 01-03-2018 05:59 PM

It’s total madness with this weather.

not_so_insig 01-03-2018 06:10 PM

We are supposed to go for a meal tomorrow but it might be cancelled if we cannot get there because of the snow.

I am wondering what to have for tea. It's too late to use the slow cooker and I don't want to use the hob because it got cleaned before and i don't want to dirty it. So any suggestions? All I can think of is either jacket potato or pasta bake. I don't have any ready meals.

Sketchy 01-03-2018 06:22 PM

Ooh pasta bake sounds good!

zombiehunter 01-03-2018 06:43 PM

i'll be having stew with mash tatties and pie paste for dinner tonight :-D

wildly insane 01-03-2018 06:48 PM

What is pie paste Zombie?

zombiehunter 01-03-2018 06:52 PM

I suppose you might call it puff pastry??

Cacoethes 01-03-2018 06:53 PM

I thought that said mash titties at first and was like...what...

zombiehunter 01-03-2018 07:00 PM

that's cos you have a dirty mind coco :-p

Cacoethes 01-03-2018 07:05 PM

I can't be the only one!!
Its one letter away!

Sketchy 01-03-2018 07:12 PM

Hehehe

Enjoy your dinner zombie. You snowed in too?

zombiehunter 01-03-2018 07:16 PM

I was out earlier today, me and my mum went round to my wee granny's to help her out and I had fun in the snow too, I was taking my grannys bins out and drew a big slayer logo in her back garden \m/

Sketchy 01-03-2018 07:21 PM

Hahaha bet your granny was pleased. I need to go out in it tomorrow to go to the shop.

zombiehunter 01-03-2018 07:23 PM

when I went out I was wearing the walking boots and waterproof trousers I use for adventuring in the countryside

Aubergine 01-03-2018 07:23 PM

Heya. :)

Cacoethes 01-03-2018 07:41 PM

Ho aubergine!
How are you?

Aubergine 01-03-2018 07:43 PM

I am surrounded by snow. >.< Work was dead as they've cancelled all outpatint clinics. Got to go in tomorrow, but probably won't be able to open because the two pharmacists that are trained to work at the hospital live in villiages a while away, and we can't open without one present. So I foresee issues.

How're you?

Sketchy 01-03-2018 07:48 PM

That’s sensible zombie. I’ll wrap up warm tomorrow and just hope the shop is open, otherwise I have no food.

Hey Aubergine. Sounds chaotic.

Cacoethes 01-03-2018 07:49 PM

Hmmm. That sounds problematic!

Im ok.

nonperson 01-03-2018 07:52 PM

Y'ello all =)

Cacoethes 01-03-2018 07:53 PM

Hi nonperson!
How are you?

nonperson 01-03-2018 07:59 PM

Hi Beckie. I'm so coooold but had some good news about work today so I'm quite chipper. =)

not_so_insig 01-03-2018 07:59 PM

I decided on tuna sweetcorn pasta in the end. It's in the oven. Had a panicky moment because I couldn't find the pasta. Thankfully I found it.

Sketchy 01-03-2018 07:59 PM

Hey Nonperson.

Sketchy 01-03-2018 07:59 PM

Hope you enjoy it Dawn.

Cacoethes 01-03-2018 08:00 PM

Yay for good news nonperson!

nonperson 01-03-2018 08:05 PM

Hi Lorraine. Hope you've been staying out of the snow today.

And yes, very yay, Beckie. =D

Sketchy 01-03-2018 08:15 PM

Yes, I’m snowed in again. Keeping cosy by the fire. I need to go out tomorrow though.

How has your day been?

nonperson 01-03-2018 08:17 PM

Cold! Scraping around for indoor jobs but it's been quite fun with the snow. We haven't had that much though.

Will you be able to get out ok tomorrow?

Aubergine 01-03-2018 08:19 PM

Back. My sister popped in to see me. :)

nonperson 01-03-2018 08:23 PM

Hi Aubergine. =)

You're not snowed in then?

Aubergine 01-03-2018 08:26 PM

I'm not snowed in, no. Sister said it's awful to drive in though, so she's not going to work tomorrow. All outpatient clinics have been cancelled at work. Snow is probably about 5 or 6 inches thick, more in some places, and it's still snowing. Work is walkable though, so I'm expected there at 9am sharp! I might be the only one who turns up!

How's the snow there?

nonperson 01-03-2018 08:29 PM

Haven't got as much as 5 or 6 inches! Maybe a couple? More was coming down before I closed the blinds so there will be more tomorrow. =)

Aubergine 01-03-2018 08:38 PM

I hate it. :(

Can you work in this weather, or will you have a snow day?

Buttons. 01-03-2018 08:38 PM

Sorry about the thick snow Aubergine, especially as it's not even getting you out of work.

Hope it doesn't get too much heavier for you Np.

It's not too thick here but who knows tomorrow.

Tbf I don't really care as I might need to devote the whole of tomorrow to fables and such but I did want to get to my drs if possible and thick snow would hinder that. Had some good news about my leg/back/whatever issues, appointment today was a trek but worth it, the dr I saw who specialises in this shiz has booked me in for some deep injection things hopefully by end of March which with intense physio may majorly help my mobility.

nonperson 01-03-2018 08:48 PM

I'm annoyed that the snow is stopping me from doing the jobs I want/need to do...! But I like everything being white and pretty. =) We don't get snow days and I have no excuse for not getting in to work as I live so close. It's not so bad, just got to find indoor jobs to do.

Glad you had positive news about your leg/back/whatever, Buttons!

Pomegranate 01-03-2018 09:03 PM

That’s good re your mobility Buttons!

I’ve ordered takeaway lol. Waiting to see if it turns up!

Buttons. 01-03-2018 09:05 PM

Thanks :)

I'm a bit the same NP, love how pretty it is, but annoyed at inconvenience.

Ooh what sort of takeaway Emma?

Aubergine 01-03-2018 09:06 PM

Just got this from my manager when I asked her if she got home OK:

"Just in that was horrific my theory about the motorway was wrong it was worse than [my town] I passed cars stranded in the middle of the carriageway with wheels spinning. I slid into a ditch a mile from my house but managed to get out after a few attempts. I think plan c might be put into operation tomorrow with trust having to dispense."

My goodness. Tomorrow's going to be fun...

nonperson 01-03-2018 09:12 PM

Will you have to go in to work tomorrow, Aubergine?

A work colleague was travelling down to Cornwall tonight on the motorway... (maybe past you, not sure...!) Hope she made it ok!!

Sketchy 01-03-2018 09:15 PM

That’s good you are getting help with your mobility Buttons. Hope it helps.

That sounds a nightmare Aubergine.

I’m worried about my sister, who is a nurse, getting to and from work tomorrow. It’s so dangerous out there. Nurses in the hospital she works in have been having to stay overnight at the hospital. They’ve also been sending 4x4s out to get nurses in.

Aubergine 01-03-2018 09:17 PM

Yeah, probably past me. I hope she made it too!

Yeah, I'm only about half an hour a way on foot, so will have to go in. May have to help inpatient pharmacy to dispense. :/

Aubergine 01-03-2018 09:17 PM

I hope your sister is OK, Lorraine. It's the same at our hospital, with the 4x4s and people staying overnight. Fingers crossed a 4x4 will get her there and back and she won't have to sleep over.

Sketchy 01-03-2018 09:21 PM

Thanks Aubergine.

If this weather keeps up then I doubt we’ll make it to Oban next week because of trains. I hope it clears up.

nonperson 01-03-2018 09:23 PM

It's meant to clear up here by Monday I think, not sure about in Scotland. Temperatures will be improving anyway. Recorded -6.8 at work yesterday!

Sketchy 01-03-2018 09:25 PM

I hope it clears up here too by Monday.

Buttons. 01-03-2018 09:29 PM

I hope for everyone's sake it clears up soon.
