Hey Beckie! How's it going?

nonperson 24-02-2018 08:50 PM

Mostly chips and frozen battered fish. Found some salmon and dill pastry parcels though so I've put one of those on.

Hi Beckie. =)

Aubergine 24-02-2018 08:51 PM

Ooo that sounds nice! Hope it's tasty. :)

zombiehunter 24-02-2018 08:52 PM

those nachos were ****ing awesome :-D

Aubergine 24-02-2018 08:54 PM

You mean you ate them all without letting us know they were ready?!

Cacoethes 24-02-2018 08:55 PM

Hello peeps

That sounds nice nonperson!

Nachos are amazing. I love them!

I had pasta and pesto again.
Ceeb for actual cooking

nonperson 24-02-2018 08:56 PM

That reminds me to add pesto to the shopping list.

Aubergine 24-02-2018 08:57 PM

Pesto pasta is nice! If I wasn't having potatoes, then I think that's what I would have made. It's OK to not do lots of cooking. :)

zombiehunter 24-02-2018 08:58 PM

hiya coco :-D

Cacoethes 24-02-2018 09:04 PM

Pesto pasta is a good easy meal.
Bit of a comfort food for me too!

Hey zombie!

Aubergine 24-02-2018 09:08 PM

Zombie, there is a song called "Bloody Mother ****ing Asshole" that came onto a Spotify radio station and the title reminded me of you. :P

Aubergine 24-02-2018 09:09 PM

Not because you are one, just to clarify. Because of the swearing!

Cacoethes 24-02-2018 09:09 PM

Haha!!

zombiehunter 24-02-2018 09:11 PM

I do ****ing swear a cunting lot to be fair :-p

i'm going to have a look for that song

zombiehunter 24-02-2018 09:14 PM

ooooooook the title is pretty metal but the song defo isn't :O

Aubergine 24-02-2018 09:16 PM

Haha , no, it's not metal at all! It's Martha Wainwright. :P

Cacoethes 24-02-2018 09:17 PM

I was listening to pirate metal earlier

zombiehunter 24-02-2018 09:18 PM

alestorm??

Cacoethes 24-02-2018 09:19 PM

Yep!!

We are here to drink your beer
And steal your rum at a point of a gun
Your alcohol to us will fall
'Cause we are here to drink your beer

Aubergine 24-02-2018 09:19 PM

Pirate metal?

zombiehunter 24-02-2018 09:21 PM

metal is made up of many sub genres eggplant and pirate metal is one of them though there aren't too many pirate metal bands but the best known of them is alestorm

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f55CqLc6IR0

Cacoethes 24-02-2018 09:22 PM

I do enjoy some alestorm!

Casualty is on!

Aubergine 24-02-2018 09:22 PM

Ooo thanks! I'll take a look! I've heard of heavy metal, death metal, thrash metal etc, but never pirate metal! :D

zombiehunter 24-02-2018 09:25 PM

thrash metal death metal melodic death metal black metal symphonic metal symphonic black metal grindcore Viking metal progressive metal etc

Aubergine 24-02-2018 09:27 PM

Viking metal?! That sounds awesome!

Cacoethes 24-02-2018 09:28 PM

That does sound good!

zombiehunter 24-02-2018 09:29 PM

find out for yourselves :-p

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=edBYB1VCV0k

Aubergine 24-02-2018 09:29 PM

Pirate metal has actual pirate lyrics! That's amazing!

Aubergine 24-02-2018 09:30 PM

Oh I've heard some stuff by Amon Amarth, but I never knew that it was called Viking Metal! Every day is a school day!

nonperson 24-02-2018 09:30 PM

I didn't think any kinda of metal was particularly melodic. Maybe that's something I'd like. Is it still screamy?

Aubergine 24-02-2018 09:32 PM

Killswitch Engage are good!

Aubergine 24-02-2018 09:33 PM

But yes, I think is still a bit screamy...

nonperson 24-02-2018 09:35 PM

I can cope with some screamy but it needs to be tuneful... and quite often it's not.

Aubergine 24-02-2018 09:39 PM

Nightwish are good. Try the song "Nemo."

Cacoethes 24-02-2018 09:40 PM

I have to be in the mood for screamy metal!

It is so bloody cold!
Even with heating on.
And my room will be even colder because that's just how it always is

Aubergine 24-02-2018 09:42 PM

Oh dear, Beckie! You need an electric blanket! Though it does make getting out of bed even more of an issue. :P

Aubergine 24-02-2018 09:47 PM

nonperson 24-02-2018 09:49 PM

I think I've seen that in the shop window. Mmm....

Cacoethes 24-02-2018 09:49 PM

I did have one but it broke :(

That egg looks amazing!!
The price though!!!
Have you seen the solid easter eggs?

Aubergine 24-02-2018 10:00 PM

Mmm. Chocolate. I'd never seen the solid ones, but I Googled them! They do a caramel chocolate one. <3

Oh no. :( Silly electric blanket. *sends warmth*

Cacoethes 24-02-2018 10:02 PM

Choclate is soo good!

Thank you!
I've made up a couple of hot water bottles for bed.

Aubergine 24-02-2018 10:03 PM

It really is! I have a bar of Bournville in the fridge. :D

Hot waterbottles are good. I hope they keep you toasty.

Cacoethes 24-02-2018 10:05 PM

Ooo nom!
I had a freddo earlier

Thanks! I love hot water bottles.
I'll be off to bed now.
So tired.
Night all!

nonperson 24-02-2018 10:08 PM

Night Beckie.

I'm always worried hot water bottles will burst and that electric blankets will electricute me. =/

Aubergine 24-02-2018 10:14 PM

Night night, Beckie. :)

I don't get on with hot water bottles, but love my electric blanket - had one for years and havent' been electrocuted yet. Have got it plugged into a surge protector plug thing and also it's got a thing that shuts it off automatically if it overheats - I think they have to these days. :)

nonperson 24-02-2018 10:16 PM

Yeah I'm sure they are safe nowadays. Maybe it's stories of old ones malfunctioning that I've heard.

Aubergine 24-02-2018 10:23 PM

Yeah, there did used to be quite the horror stories with some of the old ones. :/

You up to much?

nonperson 24-02-2018 10:28 PM

Nah. Half watching the Hobbit on tv, looking at Easter chocolate and cuddling the cat.

You?

Aubergine 24-02-2018 10:39 PM

Oh cool. Which one is on TV at the moment? I'm also looking at chocolate... It all looks so delicious! Need to get an earlier night tonight as I'm helping out at children's church tomorrow as a last minute thing (someone is unwell), and have to be there at 10am. It not at all early, but if I'm still awake at 3am I may struggle to cope with 8 two year olds...

nonperson 24-02-2018 10:46 PM

It's the last one - Battle of the Five Armies.

I also need to be up early and at the shop for 10am tomorrow so should be in bed at a reasonable time.

Sleep deprivation and children is definitely not a good combination. o.o
