Yeah that is true! Lack of sleep is one of my major triggers for seizures!

What's the weather like where you guys are? It's raining here and much cooler, which is nice since it's been too hot.

I've travelled the width of the country and it's all been grey and rainy. Can't comment further as I'm in a train. I like the heat though and wish it'd stayed a bit longer.

I think I'm just difficult to please. I moan when it's too cold as well.
I have enjoyed sunny days though.

It's dry here but it's really cloudy which is good because it's cooler. Though my room is still so hot that I need the fan on. I have thermal roof tiles on my ceiling and it keeps all the heat in!

Hey all! I just nipped out for a cig and it's raining really hard here!

We had some rain but not tons. I am finding that the hot weather is making some of my scars itch like crazy though.

I don't have any chamomile lotion or even moisturiser. The nearest I have got is hand cream.

I am having a weird day. Woke up suddenly thinking that the postman was knocking on my door only to find that's there's nobody there. Darn schizophrenia making me hallucinate. Then my hayfever is really bad today because I have itching runny eyes and nose.

I have a hospital appointment today, not really in the mood to talk about my epilepsy.
The heat has made my scars itchy too, dawn. I put Savlon cream on them and it seems to cool them down a bit and helps.

It might not be schizophrenia dawn. That kind of thing happens to most people once in a while.
I know several family members who get it sometimes!

Thank you guys. I really don't like this doctor, she seems to think I don't really have epilepsy, even though I've been having seizures for over 15 years. She keeps asking me questions that make me feel as though I have to prove I have epilepsy, it's horrible. She yelled at me last time (in front of my mum) because I forgot to bring my epilepsy diary. Also denied getting a phone call from us, even though we spoke to her directly. Horrible woman.

Pretty much the same amy! Fun times!

At least tonight is pizza night :-D

Could you request a different neurologist? It's your right to be able to choose.
With something as important as this, you need proper help and someone to actually listen!
I've been lucky with my neurologist.
I'm on an epilepsy support page on Facebook and lots of people say they've been accused of either faking seizures or not having 'real seizures or whatever. It must be so frustrating!

That's pretty much what she's saying, that they're not 'real' seizures. I never thought about requesting a change, but I don't want to cause even more friction with her, especially if it turns out I can't get another one for some reason. It is really frustrating. I never thought to look on Facebook for a support page, I may do that when I get home, thank you for your advice!
I'm fairly new to Facebook (I have to friends so never had a reason to have it) so I hope I find a good page and not one full of people who are nasty.

I'm not sure so don't quote me on this, but I think there are other ways to get a second opinion rather than asking her directly.
You could go through an advocacy service. They will be able to help you.
I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to see a new one, you have a very good reason to want to change neurologist!
But yeah, try the advocacy services. I think it's called PALS

Afternoon all. I have been for coffee with my friend. Unfortunately I have a problem with next week. I forgot to tell her I will have to change the time and I have no way of contacting her. She smashed up her phone so I don't have a number for her and she's deactivated Facebook (reason why is nothing to do with me) so I can't contact her that way. I don't have her email address so it looks like I will have to let her down which sucks.

I am ok thanks Lorraine. My hayfever is a bit better than this morning. I was a horrible mess.

I'm a bit stressed, but in the coffee shop having tea. I have electricians coming tomorrow, which stresses me out and I need to tidy up for them. I'll be tidying this evening but I'm so tired. I only came to the coffee shop because I was passing it to go to the shop, otherwise I'd be tidying just now.

Oh dear is it anything to do with the issues that you said in your r/v?

Ames I do have her home address so I will write her a letter.

They came out and changed the smoke alarm that was causing me problems, but they are coming back to fit another smoke alarm, replace my fuse box and do a check on electrics. At least I no longer have that beeping. I just don't have the energy to tidy up for them. They want me to clear my art area, so they have space.
