That's definitely something to be annoyed about, Beckie. It doesn't seem fair.

I'm glad you're feeling better today, Dawn. Good kitty. :)

Ooh, exciting Beth!

not_so_insig 06-05-2023 01:58 PM

Thanks Beth.

not_so_insig 06-05-2023 01:58 PM

Ninja Lindsay! Thanks to you too.

Cacoethes 06-05-2023 01:58 PM

So glad you're feeling better dawn :)
Pets can be so therapeutic

I usually spend quite a bit more but on a bit of a tighter budget this time! So the £5 is extra annoying! Could get quite a few extra bits for that!

I know you've already told me but yaaaaay!

long road 06-05-2023 02:30 PM

I slept around 6 hours which is alright woke up at 9:30am. But feeling pretty rough today. Dozed back off for an hour around 11:30 and woke up short of breath. So I am just resting propped up in bed and taking it easy. Taking my inhalers as needed etc. Feeling a bit fed up about it though.

Teal and white with black accessories sounds very funky Tash! Teal is such a cool colour.

Extra charge cos they were out of things sounds super frustrating Beckie. And the limit only went up from £40 to £50 on 1st May.

Hope your tattoo goes well Beckie and yours too Beth if you get one. What will you get Beth if you do a walk in?

Glad you got things sorted Lindsay. Well done for heading out again I know how hard that can be for you.

Cacoethes 06-05-2023 02:36 PM

I slept around 6 hours too! *high five*
Taking it easy sounds like a good plan.
I'm not surprised you're fed up with it though!

Well the fact that they only changed it 5 days ago makes it even more frustrating XD
It is what it is. I may send an email. Probably won't get anywhere but nothing to lose! People get free/discounted stuff at work all the time for complaining, so always worth doing if you're annoyed about something!

Thank you!
So excited! And a bit nervous, i heard behind the ear hurts. But it will be tiny, so even if it hurts, it won't be for long!

long road 06-05-2023 02:41 PM

*high five*

I am also frustrated that today is a bit worse than yesterday when today is first day of 3 day weekend so no GP access until Tuesday. Sods law eh?

Sorry to increase you frustration level, I think complaining because it's lack of stock that took it under limit is totally valid!

Where else do you have tattoos? I have heard sternum and wrist are most painful.

Cacoethes 06-05-2023 03:10 PM

Is there an out of hours gp near you? Just in case?

Not your fault!
I will definitely send a polite but firm email!

I have both wrists done and they were fine. Collarbone i nearly fell asleep! Calf was bad but that was an all day one and i was twitching SO much! Foot hurt quite a lot. Shoulder and back were fine. Forearms were fine. Top of boob was fine.
I think the rule is generally over more fatty areas is fine, over bone and lots of muscle is worse!

tamobhuuta 06-05-2023 03:25 PM

I quite fancy a tattoo round my wrist but I'm warned boney bits are particularly painful. Also harder to hide if a job required it.

long road 06-05-2023 03:27 PM

I can call 111 to try and get a call back or be seen by our of hours gp if necessary. Just don't fancy a long wait at A&E or clinic if at all possible especially as steroids suppress your immune system. I do live 5 minutes drive from the hospital with A&E/walk in centre / out of hours gp clinic.

Maybe you should phrase it like a stern PM ? That would make Tesco shake in their boots!!

I reckon you will do ok. You are an experienced tattoo getter. In fact it might be done by now as its after 3pm?

Pi.R^2 06-05-2023 04:35 PM

BUMPER POST ALERT.

After Lindsay's' comments that I just pop in when I see something I like, I'm considering replying to literally every single post WOULD THAT MAKE YOU HAPPY?

Beth - having now started to move on from mourning not going to Chiquitos with you, I can confirm that your next nearest one is 28 miles away. Thank you for using Jenna's Chiquitos Location Service.

Beckie - thanks for keeping the thread posted on my lack of availability :P

Jen - Nudelauflauf was my favourite German word long before I knew Lana!

But yeah, what Jen said apart from that. It was a facebook event and RYLers and non-RYLers from around the world made Nudelauflauf on that day and posted a jpg. One time a whole bunch of us had Nudelauflauf together at my house and another time I brought a portion of Nudelauflauf to the psych ward for Jodie so she wouldn't miss on the Grand Event. I personally loved it as a little community thing that we all did together!

Pi.R^2 06-05-2023 04:36 PM

Also, lol at stern PM to Tescos.

Also2, tamo, I really don't think many employers are fussed about tattoos these days tbh! I've never had a problem with mine and I'm in a job where they'd traditionally find it problematic I think. I'm keenly awaiting news of Beckie's tattoo as I'm curious as to whether behind the ear is pretty pain-free as I found back of the neck was.

one_step_closer 06-05-2023 04:39 PM

I'm sorry you're going through this, Jen. I'd be feeling fed up too. Keep doing the things you need to do to look after yourself. I hope you get some relief soon and don't get any worse but do get help if you need to.

Do you know what tattoo you'd like, Tamo?

I'm not brave enough to get a tattoo and I don't really want any anyway. My brother has lots of cool ones.

one_step_closer 06-05-2023 04:40 PM

See Jenna, ninja just appearing like that!

Pi.R^2 06-05-2023 04:41 PM

:ninja:

one_step_closer 06-05-2023 04:43 PM

I've never seen that ninja before!

How's your day been, Jenna?

Cacoethes 06-05-2023 04:51 PM

No problem jenna ;p

I may need some tips on writing a stern pm!
Although, I've received so many of them, i should know what they entail now XD

Employers don't really care about tattoos anymore, as long as they aren't offensive. I've met so many police officers with full sleeves done on each arm, for example! I think it's probably more uncommon now to meet someone with absolutely no tattoos! (Not based on any fact, just based on my experiences!)

My verdict is, behind the ear is actually a rather pleasant experience! Didn't even make the slightest pain face! Very chilled.

one_step_closer 06-05-2023 04:53 PM

Are you telling us we should all go for behind the ear tattoos, Beckie?

Pi.R^2 06-05-2023 04:53 PM

Lol Beckie :P I love that my legacy is going to just be 'the trademark Stern PM'.

Glad the tattoo was painless! Looking forward to seeing jpgs.

Lindsay, my day has been fine apart from having been in a car crash :P How about you?

one_step_closer 06-05-2023 04:55 PM

That sounds very fine, Jenna! Are you ok? My day has been blah.

Cacoethes 06-05-2023 04:57 PM

Yes, definitely lindsay!

It most certainly is :tongue2:

I love how you just casually drop in that you've been IN A CAR CRASH!
I assume as you're posting, nobody has perished?
Unless you're somehow posting while in one of those full body casts with text to speech like Stephen hawking.
I am definitely letting my imagination just do stuff...

tamobhuuta 06-05-2023 05:04 PM

Oh no Pi, are you OK??

I want a flower chain. So a daisy, a mini rose, a mini lily, an aubresia and a mini dandelion I think.

Pi.R^2 06-05-2023 05:04 PM

I did think it would be pretty funny to announce it like that. I'm fine. It was the other person's fault as they drove right into the back of me and mashed up the back of my car a bit. I've probably got a little bit of whiplash as my head and neck hurt and I'm a bit dizzy and foggy.

Meh how Lindsay?

tamobhuuta 06-05-2023 05:06 PM

Did you go to a&e Pi?

Cacoethes 06-05-2023 05:08 PM

You need to rest!
At least it's a bank holiday so hopefully you'll have some chill time!

Cacoethes 06-05-2023 05:14 PM

Tesco have refunded the £5 :-D
Very glad i contacted them!

one_step_closer 06-05-2023 05:15 PM

That would be nice, Tamo. Would you want it in black or coloured?

Echoing Tamo, did you get checked over, Jenna? Whiplash can be painful. Dizzy and foggy don't sound good.

one_step_closer 06-05-2023 05:16 PM

What a result, Beckie! Must have been a very stern message you sent.

tamobhuuta 06-05-2023 05:20 PM

Win!

I'd get it in colour.

Cacoethes 06-05-2023 05:23 PM

It was stern but polite. A tactic i have picked up from my mum!
They said they wouldn't usually issue a refund and this is a gesture. So at least I'll know to plan for it next time!

one_step_closer 06-05-2023 05:23 PM

I hope you do get it one day, Tamo.

I have no snacks. I need snacks. I won't be able to get any till Tuesday.

one_step_closer 06-05-2023 05:24 PM

Are you going to send ALL the messages now, Beckie?

Pi.R^2 06-05-2023 05:27 PM

Tamo - that tattoo sounds awesome, you should totally get it!

Tamo and Lindsay, no I did not get checked out but the amount of people asking if I did makes me worry I should. But I'm sure i'll be fine!

Beckie - result with the refund! I can't believe that can do that though - basically remove a few items from your order and charge you more???

tamobhuuta 06-05-2023 05:28 PM

Sorry you're in a snackless situation osc.

But hurray for stern emails.

tamobhuuta 06-05-2023 05:30 PM

Dizzy and foggy really don't sound good Pi!

Pi.R^2 06-05-2023 05:34 PM

Much woe for a snackless situation!

You've got me worried now so I've texted my dad (used to be a doctor) to check I don't need to get checked out! I think it should be fine since I didn't hit my head or anything, it just got wobbled about a bit.

Cacoethes 06-05-2023 05:42 PM

I think I will definitely use my new found karen powers again in the future, if required!
I told my mum. She is very proud XD

It's a horrible thing, feeling snackish and having no snacks. You have my sympathy.

I know! And I'm less than £2 under as well!

Handy having a retired doctor on hand! Saves a million hour wait in a&e. On a bank holiday weekend. I dread to think!

Pi.R^2 06-05-2023 05:42 PM

Also np was reading this thread but didn't post. *mourns*

tamobhuuta 06-05-2023 05:44 PM

Thank you for checking Pi :)

Cacoethes 06-05-2023 05:48 PM

We love you np! <3

nonperson 06-05-2023 05:49 PM

I'm glad you're ok, Jenna. =(

And that now sounds less sincere that it is meant to because it looks like I'm only saying it because of your post.

Pi.R^2 06-05-2023 05:53 PM

Oh sorry, I wasn't mourning because you didn't give me attention for my crash, just because I like you and enjoy your chat here!

It is an amazing German word. Glad you have known it for a long time! I really ought to learn more German what with my brother living in Austria.

I forgot about the grand event but now you mention it I do recall a Facebook group and many Nudelauflauf photos and much joviality. I also remember eating nudelaufauf at your flat at least once.

Congratulations!

Hope all is good Jenna and your Dad says you don't have to go sit in A&E. For sure take it easy next couple of days.

I am feeling a littl bit better I managed a shower, and while it took a load of energy I feel refreshed and steam helped my breathing a little bit too.

nonperson 06-05-2023 05:58 PM

Oh I know that's probably what you meant but I didn't know what else to say and then it sounded all wrong.

My chat isn't good today.

Cacoethes 06-05-2023 06:20 PM

Well done jen!
Glad the steam helped

one_step_closer 06-05-2023 06:39 PM

Well done, Jen. I'm glad the shower helped a bit.

I hope your Dad has the answer and you're ok, Jenna.

Your presence and chat here are always welcomed, NP.

Pi.R^2 06-05-2023 06:52 PM

Well done for managing a shower Jen and I'm glad it helped.

Np, what Lindsay said :)

Cacoethes 06-05-2023 07:02 PM

The boys love the organic romaine lettuce i got them from the reduced section. I hope they haven't got a taste for the good stuff now XD

long road 06-05-2023 07:02 PM

Thanks guys I even made it to the sofa. I may be a rebel and change my bedding tonight (or ask my partner to do so) a whole day earlier than RYL bedding change day! Depends how tired I get post dinner

Cacoethes 06-05-2023 07:02 PM

Oooh get you! Disobedience!
