nonperson 10-12-2019 06:09 PM

Shirayuki 10-12-2019 06:10 PM

we had a sub yesterday and mostly everyone was bad so she's disapointed in all of us...

Shirayuki 10-12-2019 06:11 PM

aww, sorry np, I hate it when I don't have mine in class

chinahorse 10-12-2019 06:14 PM

Sort of supermarket where they will sell some np?

not_so_insig 10-12-2019 06:38 PM

Hello all. It's nasty weather outside. Windy and rainy here. Tried putting an umbrella up with no success. I have been to the hearing voices group and the post office. Texted Lorraine to warn her an parcel is coming so she doesn't panic about an unexpected parcel. Posted 3 other things. I also got some stamps and the Christmas edition of the Radio Times.

nonperson 10-12-2019 06:45 PM

Windy and rainy everywhere I think!

The shop probably would sell earphones but then I'd just have to shop twice. =P

The Christmas music was horrendous.

Cacoethes 10-12-2019 06:47 PM

I had crumpets for dinner

nonperson 10-12-2019 06:49 PM

Yum! What did you have on them?

one_step_closer 10-12-2019 06:50 PM

Thick crumpets or skinny crumpets?

chinahorse 10-12-2019 06:51 PM

What on earth is a skinny crumpet?!

one_step_closer 10-12-2019 06:51 PM

Flat like a pancake!

nonperson 10-12-2019 06:52 PM

Never heard of that!

If it's flat how can it be all airy and holey like a real crumpet?

one_step_closer 10-12-2019 06:53 PM

It seems it might be a Scottish thing according to Google.

nonperson 10-12-2019 06:54 PM

Probably. =P

Cacoethes 10-12-2019 06:54 PM

I have never heard of a skinny crumpet!!

one_step_closer 10-12-2019 06:54 PM

I don't think I've ever had a chunky crumpet.

And skinny crumpet won't be the correct term!

chinahorse 10-12-2019 06:55 PM

I googled it too!

It's pretty much what I'd call a pikelet.

one_step_closer 10-12-2019 06:55 PM

I have never heard of that word.

nonperson 10-12-2019 06:57 PM

I don't know what a pikelet is either.... but it makes me think of a small fish...

one_step_closer 10-12-2019 07:00 PM

Or a baby pig.

Cacoethes 10-12-2019 07:00 PM

No clue what that is either!

not_so_insig 10-12-2019 07:12 PM

Pikelets are originally Welsh so I know what they are.

Cacoethes 10-12-2019 07:21 PM

Crumpet shaped fish would be awesome tbh

chinahorse 10-12-2019 07:50 PM

Omg look at the cute little crumpet fish

Shirayuki 10-12-2019 07:51 PM

the crumpet fish are so cute! I like crumpets but then I also don't :|

nonperson 10-12-2019 07:52 PM

Aw, it's a crumpikelet?

chinahorse 10-12-2019 08:02 PM

The conservatives just did a party political broadcast in the style of love actually messages on cardboard. I dont know if I'm dismayed by the desperation this reeks of or amused.

one_step_closer 10-12-2019 08:11 PM

I know nothing about the Conservatives or Love Actually.

Cacoethes 10-12-2019 08:11 PM

Good lord that sounds horrific Lillie

same, what is it supposed to be?

Cacoethes 10-12-2019 08:43 PM

Conservatives are a (nasty) political party in the UK
Love Actually is a film that I have never actually seen

nonperson 10-12-2019 08:46 PM

I was going to describe it as: UK politics meets very British rom com.

I don't think I've seen Love Actually either, actually. o.o

Cacoethes 10-12-2019 08:49 PM

I'm watching eastenders for the first time in ages and I have no idea what's going on

not_so_insig 10-12-2019 08:50 PM

I have seen Love Actually once it was ok.

My 3 favourite films are on over Christmas!

nonperson 10-12-2019 08:51 PM

There's probably a murder coming up for Christmas, Beckie.

Which films, Dawn?

nonperson 10-12-2019 08:55 PM

Ugh, he was here again recently. Makes me shudder to think he's been within a few miles of me!

Cacoethes 10-12-2019 08:55 PM

Ah probably np
There's always a massive drama at Christmas

Yep pretty much like trump!
Also, trump means fart in England.

nonperson 10-12-2019 08:56 PM

Does it not mean that in the US too?!

Shirayuki 10-12-2019 09:00 PM

nonperson 10-12-2019 09:03 PM

Santa Claus the Movie is my favourite.

nonperson 10-12-2019 09:04 PM

Wasn't he here last week for a Nato summit?

nonperson 10-12-2019 09:12 PM

I wish there was a like button as some of these posts make me smile so much!

My views on politics:

The Tories have no idea and are tight fisted.
Labour are ideas rich and cash poor.
Lib Dems have an idea and maybe funds.

The Tories want Brexit.
Labour don’t know what they want.
Lib Dems want to remain.

Me? I’m confused and my brain hurts!

same! XD

fingers crossed, trump won't win the re-election
