It's horrible when studying is so difficult and there's so much pressure, but it's OK to ask for some assistance with catching up - perhaps that's all you need, and you can graduate with everyone else. :)

Does the music not clash with the music that’s on whatever you’re watching? I’m not sure I would be able to cope with that!

I know what you mean about people being exhausting, definitely, although with the mood I’m in at the moment I mostly do want to be around people.

I guess it sometimes clashes, but it's just like having a soundtrack, which most films and TV programmes have at points. It's funny. I can listen to music without TV, but I can't watch TV without music. No idea why!

It's nothing to be embarrassed about, Beckie. Everyone needs help sometimes. I think I read somewhere that there are people on your course that haven't handed any work in at all? I'm sure they'll ask for help! It's OK for you to ask too. :) I hope your main tutor is available tomorrow and you're able to talk to them. Also, an academic tutorial sounds like the perfect opportunity to ask for help catching up. :)

Beckie I second everything Aubergine has said - I have a lot of experience of having to catch up with coursework and I’ve learnt that more is possible than you think when it all feels overwhelming, and that it’s easy to overestimate how badly you’re doing, and that tutors can absolutely be the best when it comes to being supportive and helping so don’t be afraid to ask them.

My week is looking interesting, I’m working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday so fairly busy. I’m also opening up the shop and running it for the first time on Thursday morning, so a bit scared about that.

I have two housemates, and they’re both in relationships too so it’s not unusual for there to be four or five or six people kicking around the house. They’re good at being there for me.

That does sound busy, Eska! Cool that you're opening up the shop and running it - it's great that they trust you to do that. :) I am sure it'll go well.

They don’t have a lot of choice! Of the four key holders, three will be away so it’s going to be an interesting time.

It is a lot of people, but it’s a reasonable size house so it’s easy to retreat when I want to! I’m really lucky with my housemates, they are wonderful people.

I messaged my Dad when I got my uni result the other day to tell him what it was and he has not replied! He's read it because I can see on whatsapp. If I don't reply to him within minutes, he messages me mean things. A "that's good" would have done, but nope. Perhaps I'm expecting too much.

Maybe he was busy and meant to reply but forgot?
I do that all the time.

Maybe. I don't know. He was last on whatsapp an hour ago and I know he saw it first on Friday. I wouldn't mind him not replying if he didn't give me such a hard time when I don't reply! Oh well. He's a funny folk.

I hope so. :) My friend was telling me she has an app on her tablet that is a fish game that cats can play! Hehe! There is also a free amazon TV channel for cats. I've got a fire stick, so the cat can watch the TV when I'm at work. :D

I don’t. I had a couple of hamsters when I was younger but that was about eighteen years ago!

Hamsters can be cool. :) Though I had a russian dwarf hamster that did nothing but bite people. :P

They can be mean little creatures! I don’t really miss having pets, I know I would struggle with all the hassle.

That makes sense. They are a big commitment and need quite a lot doing for them to keep them happy and well.

My sister had a hamster and it escaped and disappeared, so my Mum told my sister it was at the vets. It was at the vets for a LONG time...

I had pet rats. I loved them a lot. Small animals like that die too quickly though. :(

Could you get rats, Beckie? I know you're not allowed a cat/dog etc, but would something be OK if it was in a cage? Only if you felt like you'd want to look after them though! And get at least two. They get lonely on their own. :(
