Ahimsa 04-05-2023 06:34 PM

How is everyone?

I’m home from work, already been back in for one of the cat’s vaccinations and now I’m going to mow the grass before dinner

long road 04-05-2023 06:43 PM

I am still eurgh but my nap helped a bit.

Admirable mowing the grass this late Beth! Try not to over do it.

not_so_insig 04-05-2023 07:09 PM

I am not so great mentally. Thanks for asking Beth.

I am supposed to be cleaning the flat but I havent got the concentration or energy to do anything. I have done the kitchen and bathroom which are the two main rooms that are most important.

Ahimsa 04-05-2023 07:34 PM

Well done on smashing out two rooms!! :)

Cacoethes 04-05-2023 07:42 PM

I'm back from taekwondo.
Showered, boys and me fed. Still ignoring the huge amount of unpacking....

long road 04-05-2023 07:52 PM

Unpacking can be future Beckie's problem. Chill out now.

I am staying in bed for sure

tamobhuuta 04-05-2023 07:52 PM

Well done everyone for things achieved. Cheerleads for things that need to be done! Procrastination can be ok!

Cacoethes 04-05-2023 07:57 PM

I'm not sure future me will appreciate that.
But that can be future future me's problem :

Good plan jen!

Thanks tamo!

one_step_closer 04-05-2023 07:57 PM

You're all amazing. Well done with the things you have done despite how you feel and the things you have done to look after yourself.

Ahimsa 04-05-2023 08:02 PM

Jenna, I have some very sad news for you. Chiquitos in Leeds is closing.
https://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co....the-uk-4130613

Please can you find out how many miles it is to my next closest? (Even though there's nothing BethSafe on the menu)

Pi.R^2 04-05-2023 08:03 PM

Whaaaaaaaat

one_step_closer 04-05-2023 08:04 PM

You're so quick, Jenna! Lol!

long road 04-05-2023 08:04 PM

She's going to have to change the map. Again!!!

Pi.R^2 04-05-2023 08:05 PM

If you hadn’t just said there was nothing Beth-friendly I would have suggested I come to Leeds asap to join you in dining there before the closure!!!

Ahimsa 04-05-2023 08:05 PM

Don't blame me! I just live here.

Ahimsa 04-05-2023 08:07 PM

Also, someone came into work today without their cat. For a vet consult. She thought it would be okay because she'd brought a picture of the cat.

When I'm involved, it usually does :tongue2:

Hope the map altering isn't too stressful jenna!

I read about someone forgetting to bring their dog to the vet once, but bringing a picture of your cat instead of your actual cat seems even more stupid!

long road 04-05-2023 08:21 PM

I read a story about someone whose asthma was triggered by their cat so their doctor gave them an inhaler. They went back a week later and there was no improvement, doctor asked them to show how they were using inhaler and they said they couldn't their cat was not there XD They had been spraying the inhaler on the cat to treat their asthma!

Coincidence! I'm super busy today so have barely been online beyond looking at LFV a couple of times and stalking Beckie's RV to see if I need to nag her (:P) but coincidentally saw it just as Beth posted!

Can I blame you for not having anything you can eat in Chiquitos so we cannot go to toast its demise?

This is hilarious!!

Cacoethes 04-05-2023 08:26 PM

I may start having to troll my own RV to mess with Jenna

I've come to the conclusion that I have strange guinea pigs.
2 food bowls, exactly the same size and contents, but when i come down in the morning, the one on the right is empty or near empty and the other one has much more left in it.

Clearly those veggies are the RIGHT ones to eat first!
...
I'll see my self out

Cacoethes 04-05-2023 08:39 PM

Took me a moment but LOL
Clearly they are! XD

Who would have thought a 2lb rodent could be so fussy

long road 04-05-2023 08:42 PM

Chees on toast is a great meal. How come you are wishing you hadn't Zippit? Hope you aren't lactose intolerant.

Well they are your 2lb rodents Beckie ... :whistling:

Ahimsa 04-05-2023 08:43 PM

I know Beckie already knows, but we (at work) won an award for our guinea pig care at work :)

long road 04-05-2023 08:44 PM

Yay! Shower the guinea pigs with care and attention! I think Beckie should get an award for Guinea Pig Care too, she even goes out of her way to go to a different shop for their peppers!

Your reason for your edit - do you KNOW she doesn't sail the seven seas for veggies?

Cacoethes 04-05-2023 08:54 PM

True Jen

Give it time and ever increasing veg prices, i may end up sailing for veggies!
But the boys DEFINITELY need little captain hats anyway...

I wish your work was close to me beth!

Well in her RV she talks a lot about walking and only Jesus can walk on water!

I get acid reflux sometimes so feel your pain. Peppermint tea?

:-) I am imagining them in pirate / captain hast right now. It is making me happy.

Ahimsa 04-05-2023 08:58 PM

We need photos of them in their tiny hats please and thank you.

Cacoethes 04-05-2023 08:59 PM

They do have tiny hats!
Merry won't have one on, but Pippin will do anything for some herbs!
No pirate hat though sadly

Can send you the frog hat pic beth??

Ahimsa 04-05-2023 09:03 PM

Frog hat? Most definitely!

Cacoethes 04-05-2023 09:04 PM

Have sent!
I got the hats in my secret santa at work lol

Ahimsa 04-05-2023 10:17 PM

Bedtime for me, I didnt get a nap because of the cats appointment and mowing the grass, and I'm up early for my appointment before work tomorrow. Goodnight all.

long road 04-05-2023 10:39 PM

Bedtime for me too
Hope everyone sleeps well
I am just hoping for more sleep than last night!

Cacoethes 05-05-2023 07:37 AM

Morning everyone!

Hope you all slept well.
I did, apart from getting up to pee a million times.

tamobhuuta 05-05-2023 10:21 AM

Morning. Do you have any plans for today?

long road 05-05-2023 11:02 AM

Morning! I actually slept last night. Woke up a few times but got at least 9 hours. Clearly insomnia from steroids hasn't set in yet. I do however have a killer headache so taken some painkillers and staying in bed.

Cacoethes 05-05-2023 11:32 AM

I had to go and see my cpn. Then home via asda.
Picked up some vegan mini scotch eggs in the reduced section!
Got absolutely soaked but it's sunny now, of course
Also doing some washing and need to do the unpacking. Then see friend later.

Glad you managed to sleep jen!

Any plans either of you?

tamobhuuta 05-05-2023 11:45 AM

I hope the painkillers help LR.

Sorry you got wet Cacoethes!

I've got a few things to do in town later.

Cacoethes 05-05-2023 11:57 AM

Hope the headache goes soon Jen!
Sorry, totally missed that bit of your post *facepalm*

It's fine. Dried off now!

Anything exciting or just general life stuff?

tamobhuuta 05-05-2023 01:19 PM

Mostly just boring stuff but I am picking up a book I ordered from the library.

Cacoethes 05-05-2023 01:31 PM

Ooh that's good :)

I've just agreed to house sit for a week for my mum at the end of the month. Ugh.
They live in the middle of nowhere but all her regular people are unavailable and the brother who usually does it has a new job. So couldn't not really. So I'll be looking after the 2 doggos and chicken and horses.

tamobhuuta 05-05-2023 01:42 PM

Did you grow up looking after animals or will it be new to you?

one_step_closer 05-05-2023 01:52 PM

Afternoon everyone, I was up at 9am and then had a review at 10am which lasted nearly an hour and a half so I'm done!

I hate having to get up to pee loads of the time through the night, but it's good if there's still some sleeping time left and you can go back to bed.

I'm glad you had a better sleep, Jen. I hope your headache goes away soon.

You sound a bit busy today, Beckie. I hope you enjoy seeing your friend. Can you not be bothered house sitting?

I hope you get everything done when you're in town, Tamo. What book are you picking up?
