Hmmmmmmm, fair point. XD
|
It all sounds complicated tbh!
|
I am busy cleaning my flat. Just got the dusting in the hall and living room, mopping the hall, putting the dishes away and cleaning my kitchen sink left to do. Done everywhere else.
|
I'm going to bring things back down to a more comprehensible level and let you al know that I have popping candy chocolate. <3
|
Good work, Dawn!
|
Ooo popping candy chocolate!!
|
It's like fake Toblerone. A big bar left over from Christmas.
|
Beckie - I was trying to read a work-relevant research paper last night and... well. It was challenging. The third sentence in went like this: “Established unconventional T cell ligands include lipid antigens presented by the conserved CD1 family of molecules, as recognized by natural killer T (NKT) cells and germline-encoded mycolyl-lipid reactive T (GEM) cells.”
0.o (I didn't get very far.) Well done Dawn! |
Well that sounds extremely complicated!
I used to understand that sort of thing from when I was doing my health sciences degree (that I didn't finish) but it's all completely gone now! |
I do understand that eska, but remember the days of googling or looking up every other word in a paper.
I have tea :) But no popping candy chocolate sadly. |

I find the IPA rather instinctive but I am bilingual & grew up with a lot of scienc-y terminology (biology was a special interest & my mum was a pharmacist). Well done for cleaning Dawn! I love popping candy chocolate, NP! |

Sorry to hear that Lillie It's always disheartening but there will be other opportunities <3 |
One of my brothers has just informed me he has my chemical romance tickets.
I am insanely jealous |
Morning everyone, I hope you have a good day.
Sorry to hear that Lillie. Your brother is unkind Beckie! |
I know! I can't believe he managed to get tickets

Were they sold out quickly?
I was ok but now upset. How are you? |
Apparently they sold out almost immediately!
But his girlfriend managed to get some Oh no :( *hugs* I'm ok. Looking forward to swimming today! |
Sorry you didn't get the job china *hugs*
I'm not a fan of mcr. Picked up all my meds this morning, relieved now. Just having official tea time with Dad and my sister. |

Have fun beckie :-)
|
I hope you have a nice swim Beckie.
Do you have much else to do with your day Tamo? How are you getting on Lillie? |
I'm not good. Really not.
Hugs lindsay. |
*hugs back* Is there anything I can do to help? Are you looking after yourself as best as you can?
|
More hugs for china.
No, quiet day now. |
Find me a point?
I've gone out to post a letter and buy some bits from aldi. May get some wool for crochet. |
Well done china. I suppose the point that helps me is that I am loved, like everyone. You are loved.
|
You are very, very worthwhile Lillie. I'm sorry you feel like you don't have a point. Well done for getting out. Are you doing any crocheting at the minute?
What will you be doing with the rest of your day then Tamo? |
Today's dictionary.com Word of the Day is hobnob! So now I want biscuits so badly. =(
|
Is there a definition of hobnob other than the biscuit?
I would like some biscuits too. |
I can only crochet blankets with any success. Got some pink/purpley wool.
Mmmmm biscuits. Moved the sofa. Found: 3 rattly balls 2 ping pong balls 2 crinkley balls 1 bell ball 1 string footballer 1 rattan mouse |
Pop exciting finds, Lillie!
I didn't read the description of hobnob! My mind went straight to biscuits and having to tell people! hobnob verb (used without object) [hob-nob] to associate on very friendly terms (usually followed by with): She often hobnobs with royalty. |
*hugs Lillie*
*hugs Lindsay* A bunch of my friends on Facebook have MCR tickets. I wouldn't be able to go anyway. Biscuits! That's a lot of stuff, Lillie! |
I can't remember if I saw a bit of MCR at a festival years ago and walked off because they were crap. =P
I think it was them. |
I've never used hobnob to mean anything but biscuit. Didnt know it had another meaning.
|
I didn't know hobnob had another meaning either!
I have finished my swim. It was lovely! Now treating myself to a costa at the pool cafe. |
My stomach is rumbling, send hobnobs of the biscuit variety!
I'm glad you enjoyed your swim Beckie. What did you get from Costa? Not that I know anything about hot drinks other than hot chocolate. |
I moved my tumble dryer this morning because one of favourite socks had fallen down the back. Found 3 socks. Biggest problem was moving it back into position but eventually managed it
